We are still fighting to end fresh water pollution here in the Great Lakes from local communities and big business. We are a contained (lake) environment with governing bodies running the policies and politics and are having a hard time. Freighters both domestic and foreign still dump waste and trash directly into the lakes to wash ashore......controlling the "Pacific Rim" must be unimaginable in scope to try to effect. Keep working on it............

We ALL need just to band together in groups worldwide and each group take a section of beach and clean it up theroughly picking up all the plastic debris and also maintain it on a regular basis. also most importantly going out and doing clean-ups after storms picking up all trash that has washed up on beaches during storms also we ALL must do our part to make sure all trash is placed in proper disposal recepticles after beach parties and picnics, ect. also DO NOT upt trash in storm drains, ect!!
