The words to the magnificent melody in the middle. Have known and loved this composer since I was 2.

I was amazed when I typed this title in and actually got this back. It has been 50 years since I've heard this tune. I used to have it on an old green (not black) 78 RPM Columbia record.

You certainly have the whole score there and sounds great. The only thing it seems my memory thinks there was a flute, violin, and perhaps a cello also accompanying.

What a coincidence: I've been collecting 78 RPM records since I was 12 and this is also how I first got to know Ketèlbey's music. (Burgundy HMV records from the 1920s in my case, but I know the green Columbias you mention).

If you Google "london promenade orchestra ketelbey" you'll find an excellent CD with this music.

I don't have the original score; only this an arrangement for mandolin orchestra.

As you say, the original is for full string orchestra and several additional instruments.

Anyway, it's lovely music that we like to play on concerts from time to time.

I managed to pick up about sx of these pieces on Columbia 78s with Ketelbey conducting (or playing piano) for 20p at a market once.
