Two years ago I came across an article on the internet listing the best male vocalists of all time. I was familiar with almost all the names on the top five except the name Jackie Wilson. So I began searching for his songs online and he gave me chills. I bought this album and this is one of my favorites. I also like Danny Boy, Lonely Teardrops, To Be Loved, You Don't Know Me, Over the Rainbow, Georgia on My Mind, Higher and Higher, I get the Sweetest Feeling, Because of You, etc. Jackie's #1!
When I first bought the album, I really did not like this at all and I had to skip it to the next track...eventualy it got better and even habit forming, but I still think it is far from being one of his best...but then again, even his worst is better than most singers' best.
I love it too and doesn't it pretty much describe his life--especially the final years..No other Artist gave more and ended with less then Jackie Wilson ..
Will music like this ever come around again. Loved it then, and loving it now......
