Wow, i've always been intrested in concepts like that...
Even the fact of programming the commodore 64 to do weird things like wire your bedroom with a open door / closed door sensor...
Thats a dream in my eyes, to be able to do tasks like that...
We'll im only young, so hopefully i can attempt to gain knowledge apon the matter in the future...
Got any tips you could give me?
Resources to get me going?
Hopefully college will teach me alot more about programming

Don't wait for college to experiment. ALWAYS experiment. There are no classes to teach you how to hack an atari joystick for example. Just cut it open and think of somehting cool you want to do and then get all the help you need to figure out how to do it, but DO IT.
