  • lol...ill do it when my nails grow out

  • i do this to my nails all the time! it looks just as good as going to the salon! i chip fast too tho and mine starts chipping the day after, but i just fix it with a little more white polish and clear coat

  • I very like it ;D

  • I love this tutorial and I love you! Thanx this was SO helpful!! I am definitely doing this!!

  • this might be a stupid question... but what's the purpose of base coat??

  • @bellgirlamy it helps prevent chipping on the tips :)

  • This is awesome, thank you so much! I dislike using stickers, and I dislike using glue-ons. I never knew the key was the pure acetone (for manicures, and just making polish look nice in general!) until a few weeks ago. Again, thanks for the video!

  • Can you use a tan nail polish instead of the bare rose nail polish? And if not, then where can you get the bare rose nail polish?

  • Thx so much they came out so cute

  • lol i work with both my hands pretty good.

(as she said: too cool for school :P)

  • So cool

  • There so cutr!! :)

  • Heyy my dad (yes my dad) works in a nail shop and hes the top nail person or watever u call it and i lov watching him do the french tip so just some advice: go in circular motions so u can be more accurate and it gives u more curve :]

  • This is probably a dumb question, but is acetone that stuff you get when you get your ears pierced? haha

  • Wow never knew you could do it this way! Thank you!

  • this might sound pretty dumb, but why don't you just do a base coat and then paint a white tip ,rather than making a big tip and using acetone to make the tip smaller>>>

  • Where'd you get the 100% pure acetone? The shoppers drug Marts in my area don't have it :S

  • @emmiielii5 Walmart

  • @SparklingMangoLips Michaels. I'm Canadian too!

  • That Is Genius

  • this really helped! thanx!

  • This was really helpful, thank you!

  • Loove it ^^

  • so since i live in canada.... where do i buy that brush?

  • @SparklingMangoLips if you have any arts or crafts store near you, they should have a similar brush :)

  • @hellokittylover2001 shut up. if yur so genius then how would yu do a french manicure then? damnnn dont b such a hater

  • Awesome tips on French manicure! I paid to get that done Hahahah.

  • I used to put on the base coat first and then put the white at the end and it never works. Thanks for showing new easier way for mehhh :)

  • thank you so much for this video! im going to try to do this right now haha

  • stupid question, but is acetone the same as like nail polsih remover?

  • @complicatedlass217 not dumb at all! Its essentially undiluted nail polish remover, which is why the line is so clean. Most nail polish removers are diluted with water dyes fragrance etc so it isnt strong enough to remove the polish in one pass

  • use a q-tip way easier people be smart duh

  • @pinkprincessbubble12 its not going to look the same with a qtip unfortunately

  • I saw this video after I watch the second one you did for french manicure & here your orly bonder base coat is still full. lol

  • ur nails are so pretty this was very helpful

  • Thankyou very mucch!!! you are very clean in your work anda area work,I liked... Congratulations

  • Thanks so much it really helped I'm going to do it right now :)

  • Im ambidextrous! :D It makes doing my nails so much easier :D

  • ur voice is weard

  • really good:) thanks for that, xx

  • can't u just use regular nail polish remover instead of pure acetone ? :)

  • i LOVE it! so easy! :-D cool, thanks for uploading!

  • i've never seen a french manicure painted this way before! really neat...

  • ^_^ i'm gonna do this asap thanks girl!

  • ^_^ i'm gonna do this asap thanks girl!

  • Love this video. Wish u could do my nails

  • @MszJackieChu could I use regular nail polish remover?

  • Wow! Great job and most informative! Thanks for sharing and teaching :)

  • this is really good but how do you clean you brush after ? x:)

  • i paid like 75$ were i live, and they chipped like 3 days later. but yours look so good!

  • this is a really great tutorial!!! I've always wanted to do french manicure but ALWAYS end up looking like i did it with my toes (TT ^TT) BTW what do i do if i want color under my white tip? do you know any other awesome tricks!? thanks for the tutorial it is seriously a huge discovery for me :)

  • It's very nice indeed ! I you've got the right length of nails for me to appreciate the French style paint on them. I am a man. In my view , for the sake of a higher æsthetic, it is best to replace the pink with just a transparent polish.

  • did this and it turned out awesomeee:)

  • I was wondering is it worth getting more orly products or should i go for O.P.I?

  • Thank You for making this video. I have been dong my nails for about 6 years now. And i decided to try some new products, so i tryed some of the orly manicure products and i'm so happy i did. So thanks again!!! =)

  • Where do you live where a mani and pedi cost $60? Please

  • @DKBMHussey It costs even more than that where I live.

  • i love it!! thx soo much! :)

  • i love your video!!!! n ur so gorgeous

  • i love this! your not a bum lol xoxo

  • @Kelcinater mm yes but i curve the very ends in :) if you use acetone it comes out neatly

  • what if you want another colour underneath your french tip?

  • thank you! This is easy and very helpful

  • It's way easier and less time consuming to just practice and get really good at doing it without the removing part

  • this is genius!

  • i did this and it works but it takes forever to do though it took me 2 hours once....... or thats just me buy now i can do this and 30 min =)))))

  • it must takes you forever to get all of your nails done !

  • OMG! i have been looking for these types of videos because im such a retard when it comes to french tips and this by far my fave! i favorited and liked this vid and subbed! <3 i really enjoyed this! but do you have any dupes for the seethrough pink because i really dont want to have to go out and buy that:)

  • but isn't acetone bad for your nails?

  • @MiSsCuTiExPiE yeah but ofc. its OK to use is sometimes! but yeah it dries out your nails but i like to put moisturizing cream on them every now and them just to keep them like "normal dry"..

  • You can also tape under where you want the french tip to start at, then it could be a little easier to do your hand that you aren't dominant on.

  • @hellokittylover2001

=___=;; that's such an old accusation that no self-respecting guru would ever take note of it. Unless the procedure has been formally copyrighted, it doesn't belong to a certain person. Great minds think alike, but don't necessarily collaborate..

  • @hellokittylover2001 and WHO exactly did I "copy"? I dont watch nail tutorials on youtube. This is the way practically all the nails salons in the united states do a french manicure, so no one's copying anyone

  • @MszJackieChu i love u and ur voice :) u r original and awesome. can u please do a video on ur fave perfumes for fall? p.s dont listen to haters...they r just out to hate and r jealous

  • @hellokittylover2001 dont be such a follower urself. ur hating just like all the other jealous people. u dont have to be so rude. if u have nothing nice to say, dont say it at all. y wud u even watch this whole video and then comment if u didnt like it?? do u really think she cares? no! so please stop, it is not needed, there is way too much hate on youtube. please respect.

  • @hellokittylover2001 Wow your dumb lol um every single nail salon does this so look how stupid you made yourself look

  • @hellokittylover2001 your such a bitch miss -hellerkitty- jackiechu is the last person i would have expected to be fake , and if she copied a tutorial , how could the outcome of the nails be so perfect , stfu yyou dumb fuck your the follower and, its just simple to click on anoither video , dumb bitch , some things are the same so just close your mouth and dont talk it will get you punch or bitch slapped in the future ..

  • @hellokittylover2001 its not like the other girl was the only person in the world who did it this way...relax.

  • @hellokittylover2001 So your saying that everyone else who has a smokey eye tutorial is copying the first person? WTF?

  • @hellokittylover2001 shut the fuck up and who CARES EITHER WAY U GOT FRENCH MANICURE NAILS!!!

  • @hellokittylover2001 Duh stupid, ANYONE can make this video. Everyone has their different methods.

So no two videos of this nature will ever the the same!!

  • @hellokittylover2001 Dont be such a hater

  • @hellokittylover2001 oh shut up!

  • @hellokittylover2001 dang someone needs ta chill the fuck out.

  • Couldn't you put the white on the way you like it and then not you that brush stuff?

  • This was one VIDD, I should of searched for a long time ago!! I'm on a Diva Budget :)

  • @primebeautie haha being fab for cheap ^^<3

  • ur nails r perrrfect!

  • So obvious you're from Cali... you sound like Brenda Song LOL

    Nice tutorial though :p

  • Does the acetone damage your nails? Or is it just the same as using nail polish remover?

  • @stelafant1 its not good for skin or nails,

it eats through a lot of things. or, thats just what my dad told me & he uses acetone for plumbing.

but look at it this way:

If acetone is strong enough to clean pipes, what's it gonna do to your nails over time?

    Use nail polish remover.

  • @CuppiCakesxRawrr Acetone is used in most traditional nail polish removers as the primary active ingredient. You can do it with normal nail polish remover, but the results wont be very clean.

  • @CuppiCakesxRawrr and acetone IS a solvent. hence why its used to dissolve things, nail polish being one.

  • I did it!!! ;) Its so worked!!!!

  • Your nails look beautiful. Thanks for showing us. The OPI Alpine Snow looks very nice for a french manicure and I will be buying that :).

  • i just use a make up brush:)

i've tried many times to do this & never could make it work, but now I know I can.

  • This helped(:

  • ur nailz r lyke sooo pretty!!

  • thank you so much! ♥

  • haha unless youre ambedextirous (butchered spelling) then youre to cool for school ;D for some reason i can write ambedextirous but not paint :( oh well...life isnt fair all the time... thanks for sparing us you painting all your nails bc that bugs the junk out of me when ppl do that so nice vid! ;)

  • just did this following this tutorial, PERFECT thanks :) way to save me money!!

  • The reason why you're not so crazy about that base coat is because it's more designed to just help harden nails not specifically keep nail polish on longer

  • @comegetmyxlove nope.

this is what orly markets it as: Rubberized formula grips polish to nail surface

Prevents nail color from chipping or wearing off

Advanced formula provides the foundation for longer-lasting color.

  • you are so creative!

  • Ur awesome, I love u soooooo much, you talk well and you know what ur doing!

  • Awsome!!!

  • Awsome !!!

  • Hey...how do uhh manage to keep ur hands so clean...???

  • Thanks it really helped Manicures these days just cost to much lol

  • Best French manicure video on YouTube.Thankyou!

  • This is what I was looking for ;D Thanx

  • Great job; for once, you do it the way professionals at salon's do!!!! Most people paint a thin line sideway's on their nails that ends up thin, not even, or see through in some places; and it doesn't look neat. Cudo's to you for a great DIY French Tip Nail Look!!!!!

  • Thank you sooooo much! I started practicing this like a week ago and now I can pretty much do it perfectly and it looks just like how the salons do it but WAYYYY cheaper! Thanks again!

  • wat is the base coat for?

  • This would definitely save me on french tip guides. thx

  • That wasn't messy

  • nail polish* sorry auto correct

  • You know some lady today showed me her nails and I thought they were just painted on normally but she said she put acrylic over them and than put nail Olson over it and it helps from chipping and stays like that for like a month!

  • 2:18-2:20 = :)

  • How much time does it take you to do both arms?:)

  • @Elliot1013Ful youre welcome ^^<3

  • Made on my birthday !

  • Youe nails are so gorgouusss! I love them his reallyy helped me! Im so glad you did this cuz i love your nails in all your videos! Im just wondering...how long does this usally last on your nails? :D

  • @kelrob9894 about a week, but it depends on your lifestyle and how hard you are on them =] and thank you

  • How do u keep ur cuticle so pretty? I'm so jealous. My always crack. any suggestion??? I tried so many product too :(

  • @mzbeautifulmess I dont mess with them :) a lot of times cutting and messing with them makes them overgrow

  • your nails are pretty

  • You can still use nail polish remover u don't have to use acetone.

  • @CAMiiANGEll You can use normal nail polish remover but Its harder to get a clean line with normal nail polish remover

  • thxxx alot

  • Very pretty! There are a LOT of bad tutorials out but this one's definately one of the good ones :) How long does it tend to last?

  • Thank for sharing. I will try this out. tc

  • where can you get the Seche Vite top coat you used ?

  • Bluefavorites, yeah I know I say a lot of caraxy stuff when I'm typing, it's too funny! LOL!!!!! :D My hands shake like crazy when I'm trying to paint my nails, especially when I'm trying to do my own french tips. It comes out looking pretty good still, but I don't think it's as pretty as MszJackieChu though.

  • yes! go ambidextrous people! <3 (i luuuuuuv ur nails!)

  • @LaPommeDore Im not ambidextrous at all...haha

  • I've been doing my own french manicure for 10 years now. But I brush on Sally Hansen natural tint nail polish hardener for the color and strength then I use white nail polish hardener (Sally) and polish the tips. I've been doing it so long I don't need the strips anymore and I just follow the tip.

I'd really love to try it this way but I don't know about sacrificing the nail hardener. My nails need that so badly directly on my base because my nails get really weak when the tip starts growing

  • Great video! I like to my french manicures myself too because I'm like you, there's a lot better things to spend $60.00 on. :) You done a great job! I always fix my mess ups with nail polish remover, which is difficult. I'm going to try the Acid Tone. :) This girl here is a fan of your videos, you're upbeat, with a postive attiude, and very inspirational. :) Thanks for posting your videos! =)

  • @spaceanduniverse ............Acetone..."acid tone" lmaooooooooo for lifeee

  • good work gal.it was amazing.......luved it a lot.hav any videos on pedicure and nail art
