Thanks. that is interesting. Dad was pretty good at novelty song vocals but didn't he made a career of it of. He played sax, clarinet, flute steel guitar, violin and a lot of novelty instruments like harmonica, ocarina and jews harp. Thanks for taking the time to tel me this. I no no longer have nay of the recordings so your postings are a gift. Ed
My dad Eddie Grosso played in the orchestra. (S,cl) He traveled from the US to Germany. As I remember the storyit, Hyde went to Germany to make higher quality recordings than what available in the U.D.
@edgrosso Your dad Edwin (Eddie) is credited on: Sleep, Yes we have no bananas, Lovey come back, Kiss in the Dark, Somebody's wrong, I'm going south, Mama goes where papa goes, Linger awhile, Lazy, Maybe, down on the farm and Mama loves Papa. But not as clarinet but as the vocalist. Recordings made in 1924, probably May some with Vox.

Rare, hardly known recording, and a genuine "Made in Germany" product. Thanks for these rarities!

Very interesting thanks for posting
Interesting to compare with the Benny Goodmans from the same period - particularly on the clarinet styles.
