@mpt111 any level up to 100 is fine anywhere in the game. Your best bet is to join sunlight/princess/darkmoon/dar­kwraith/gravelord/stone dragon covenant. All of these make it easier to invade or do co-op.

Dude level up ur equipment first then level up endurance a little but not vitality. U dont need it. You have estus flasks for health. If you want to use the fury sword u shud have put more points into dex because now it will cost more to level up later. Raise ur weapons n equipment stats first. Good show.

Each pyromancy spell has a set casting time. You don't press R1 to charge and R1 to cast, it's just R1 once and it will cast; Fireball just looks like it's charging. This applies to all spells, not just pyromancy.

Maybe people did point this out but I still feel obligatory to add this as well.

Havoc engine is Physics engine and what it does is basically physics it adds every items and ragdoll a real life like behavior and is one of the best physics engines out there. Game is actually running on PhyreEngine and that was made in 2009 and in 2010 first game came out using it so engine is pretty new as far as engines go.

I've never seen this framerate issue in Blighttown, but maybe I am very lucky. Also if you know you're going to possibly be invaded by douchebags you can willingly play the game offline til you get to an area where less jerks hang around, that would make it easier on you if you considered those areas, not that I think you have to. :)

Btw, it is not poison, it is bleeding that the dogs cause ;) Blighttown is also the area I hated the most. A serious pain with all the poison, frame rate issues and mazeish level design. However, there are some pretty good loots hidden there.

I don't really like the whole skipping the depths thing >: on that low level char you have NL you should go through the depths again, its alot easier the second time around, thats how i felt, if anything at least off camera the depths and show the boss!!! thats the first "badass" boss, if the bell gargoyles are the first "hard" boss, as for blighttown, go ahead and use the back entrance, the place chugs and it sucks, lol, but dont ignore the depths boss!

I just bought dark souls because i really liked the look of it from these videos, I've actually just reached blighttown and managed to die twice from stupid stuff, in the process i managed to lose 36000 souls and 4 humanities...ya I think that warrants a break. I can see why you would skip Blighttown even if you miss some decent gear. I have to say I am disappointed you will be skipping gaping dragon since he is an entertaining boss that I think people would like to see and considering you can rush through the depths fairly easily... It's likely that, if you do play the game first, you will already know the different weapons and armor. If you have played the game, you shouldn't need it to be shown off. You aren't quite right at 4:14. The game runs on a inhouse engine of FromSoftware. The havoc-engine is just for the physics (ragdolls and stuff).

I don't want to sound like a PC fanboy (I personally see every form of gaming medium as legitimate), but the performance issues are mostly because of outdated console-hardware. That's why I hope to get my Dark Souls for PC if Namco decides to greenlight it.
