The way that an average teenager would. All of these women are staggeringly emotionally immature. I had made a few comments on the movie, itself, about how I thought that Shelley was full of shit, and a few other choice things, and she actually wrote me trying to manipulate my opinion of her like she does the people around her lol. Such childish and sad behavior that a grown woman would care what a total, not to mention anonymous, stranger thinks about her.
i really feel like this should've been included in the film. I always thought the nurse kandi was mean to the girls(even though she really isnt) this scene really shines a light on her and pollys struggles. r.i.p. polly.
@FyreBalletDancer it would be heart-breaking if it were REAL Pro-Ana is as fake as the fake, superficial, vain, and defiant as these girls who host the "lifestyle" willingly.
@MuseDisorder It doesn't say in the documentary but if you Google it or look up the article, it happened a while after the documentary was made: a couple years ago...
@lesterclaypool1 I'm pretty sure Natalie wasn't in the film. She was in the book (if you've read it) but not in the documentary. The one you're referring to is Brittany. :)
That bitch needs to stfu, she wasnt asking for attention. Someone in her position should be a little more sumpathetic to Natalie. I hope that girl is better now, I wish they had given more background on her during the film. These deleted scenes are really fascinating
I feel like these deleted scenes make the staff seem so much more friendly and caring. In the documentary, I could understand they were just doing their jobs, but it made them seem a little heartless. This shows a much more human side to them (and in other clips)
I don't want ANYONE to have to make one of those calls for me. The sad thing is, with the sheer number of times I've tried to get help with depression, it really shouldn't surprise anyone who knows me to receive one. After watching this I don't want to give up fighting, no matter how hard it is.

I think that in subsequent airings on HBO they have mentioned Polly's passing after the closing creits by way of a short written paragraph.
