@m5e8r5v8e5, @KayleLang yeah that's right, this song is like the equivalent of 'marry had a little lamb' for the Japanese. The Evengelion 2.0 just simply used the song to show the simplicity and the innocence during the Apocalypse.
@freestyleballer66 because MUCC always go in various directions, they change their music style and try to make new things. They never walk on a straight defined way. This could be one interpretation ^^
k-on barely covered the melody, unless you look up the soundtrack. Its weird to me that Evangelion 2.0 and K-on used this same song so close to each other's release
i've known this song from j-movie closed note *i think thats the title of th e movie, i dont clearly remember it~, and then K-On covered it and it makes me loe this song~ ^^
I went from the K-on! version to the Evangelion version then quickly moved on to the 1971 original and after that this version. I like the upbeatness in this one and the same for the K-on! version, Evangelion. Original is good nonetheless.
@m5e8r5v8e5 i didn't mean that ._. i just said that I know this song for the firsttime from K-On , I didn't mean that this song first come from K-On . i think there was misunderstanding between us .
1. K-on! released their version of this song before Evengelion 2.0 came out.
2. This video was uploaded before Evangelion 2.0 came out.
3. According to comments from other videos, this is a common song sang by school choirs. You could find covers dating back to at least the 60's (Which is not only before the Rebuild of Evangelion series, but before the original Neon Genesis Evangelion)
If anybody has heard of this new anime called K-ON! (けいおん!) the tune from this song is actually in the first episode, I went crazy over hearing it, it might be my new favorite anime lol!
yes, these 12 songs from "Cover Parade" are all covered by MUCC: 01 Tsubasa wo kudasai - Akai Tori 02 Wine red no kokoro - AZEN-CHITAI 03 Shiki no uta - Yoko Seri 04 Romantist - THE STALIN 05 Sugao - Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi 06 Kare to kanojo - Shigeru Izumiya 07 Sentimental - cali=gari 08 La vie en Rose - D'ERLANGER 09 Niwaka ame session - LA VIE EN ROSE 10 Kasa ga nai - Yosui Inoue 11 Nagoriyuki - IRUKA 12 Kokonoka - MUCC (self cover; original from Antiiku)

@noxie1 What i wanted to say is that Evangelion is imo boring because it doesn't have any drums like the Original has xD

There are a couple of problems.
1. K-on! released their version of this song before Evengelion 2.0 came out.
2. This video was uploaded before Evangelion 2.0 came out.
3. According to comments from other videos, this is a common song sang by school choirs. You could find covers dating back to at least the 60's (Which is not only before the Rebuild of Evangelion series, but before the original Neon Genesis Evangelion)

The original is indeed made by Akai tori, as said.
But I gotta say, this is the best version I've heard, I don't really like the other versions, as excpected of MUCC : ]
