I suppose that would be a reasonable abbreviation, but no. O. Sagat stands for "Old Sagat" and refers specifically to the version from Super Street Fighter II (as opposed to Super Street Fighter II Turbo which was played here, for example).

There are later releases too, but in those Old characters are generally referred to by their edition since there are multiples you can choose from.

In the right hands, Sagat was very dominant in SF2, since his hits are very damaging and and recovery time after fireballs and tiger knees is very low! Also, his offensive jump kick, when done at the right range is a very low risk and high reward move against Ryu and Ken fireballs.

Now in old days sagat was not as broken because the game was more or less balanced until the later games like CvS2 3rd strike and Super Turbo Remix. I would say Sagat got massively swull is when they gave him a makeover in the aplpha series.

He eventually asked and that was the answer they gave him. If you want to think of it another way, Sagat rely's on one move, Vega rely's on one move. Your wrong, Choi is utilizing O. Sagat's potential far better than Valle is, for the mere fact that with O. Sagat, his greatest potential comes from spacing with his Low Tigers. They are made so that you force the opponent to come to you, I don't know of if any of you guys remember, but guys like Tomo and Jeff would destroy you with Sagat by just zoning you to death.

Sagat's strength is not in an aggressive come close and attack, but a powerful offensive zoninig with low tigers.
