I found the Cayman very underwhelming, it handles better but just feels so sterile... drive both cars back to back on the same day if you can, then decide... I paid £24,000 for my 6000 mile Z, the only thing here in uk is road tax is higher for the Z... good luck and let me know what you decide if you haven't already bought the Cayman.

The way a Porsche is built, it ought to be the ultimate road-hugger, but with all that weight clear to the back, the 911 isnt going to corner like the mid-engine Cayman will. Well what about the updated Cayman S which goes 0-100k in 4.8s (with PDK)....forget max speed, anything above 150 is fairly irrelevant provided it gets there easily. Point is, the 911 isn't "in a different league" from a performance point of view, but it is from a price point of view. A few performance tweaks on the new cayman and it would out-perform the 911s.

My brother has a Cayman S with all the go-fast options and I drive it from time to time.  I tell you this thing is a bomb and handles better than any ferrari or lamborghini. Look up the stats. You will not lose this thing on the road with the PASM activated. Quality, structural integrity, and fit and finish are hey number one. This thing is the real deal. My fastest on this is was 185 kmh. Hey this isn't my car and YES I did this in the Seattle area.
