@Apocol0id Year of the Black Rainbow was less of a sci fi story and more of a story of the love between Coheed and Cambria. That's why you hear a lot of love songs in YOTBR. There was some sci fi in there, and you'll hear that in the first three songs of the album, and Year of the Black Rainbow, just to name a few...but that wasn't necessarily the major point of the album

It's a good song, but it's just not on par with some of the other songs on the album. It's not BAD, it's just a smart move on Coheed's part to make it extra content, rather than part of the main album.

@SlashRose I see... Your taste and mine must differ is all... well I just feel like "Chamberlain" "The Lost Sheperd" and "Hush" are good. REALLY GOOD. So good that I like them more than most songs on the album except for 'When skeletons live" and "Far".The album isn't half bad though, there are decent songs like "The Broken" and "Pearl of the Stars" Although I'd honestly rather listen to PFI or Shabutie instead of YOTBR.

@BeardedPriest Yeah, I guess our tastes are pretty different. I don't really like PFI and Shabutie is hit or miss. I Don't really like When Skeletons Live. It is an OK song, but doesn't fit perfectly with the album as a whole. I liked World of Lines, the singles, Pearl, Far, Made Out of Nothing, and Shattered Symphony was an OK track. Lost Shepherd is a pretty cool track, and Chamberlain is all right. I can see why it's not on the actual album, though.

After the original pressing sold out, they stopped including the black card in the package. That's the only difference between the original deluxe and the newer versions.

I would like to hear this one without the reverb and weird background synths. It ruins the lyrics because of the distraction. I've been listening to SSTB a lot lately and I realized something, the less production effects their songs had, the better they sounded. In fact, In Keeping Secrets and Second Stage Turbine Blade are actually some of the best quality songs they have.
