The first time I listened to this album it threw me off... it just wasn't the direction I thought Emery was headed after The Question. After really listening though... THIS IS MY FAVORITE EMERY RECORD YET! The guitar playing has really been stepped up on this album and the lyrics... well shit.... it's Emery. Of course the lyrics are amazing. This one just has more imagery and paints more of a picture in your head...

this album is totally different, true! but it's still Emery and if you listen it a few times you'll discover it's a masterpiece... there's the same harmony Emery always manages to establish and the album is a perfect expression of a man's life, both inner battles and struggles in relationships. Imho :)
