I can find something wrong with a lot of jobs and how they are done, this video is just a way to stereotype all factory farms. That's a load of BS. I've seen tonnes of footage from factory farms all over the place and they do the same thing. Some have reformed recently due to pressure from PETA like some that aren't burning the feathers off of live turkeys with scalding hot water anymore. Battery cages are very common in factory farms. Factory farms are about the bottom line: profits. If cramming more animals into small quarters produces more product then that's what they do regardless of the suffering it causes.
Just because of one farm here or there not doing things properly, doesn't mean that every factory farm is anything like that. A lot of farms, especially those that employ good, caring employees, with proper training and correction for improper behavior take good care of these animals. I take damn good care of the animals I am in charge of. They are better off in a crate than a pen where they kick the shit out of each other because they are deciding dominance and killing the little one.

Get your friends together ask peta and others like you to donate money buy a large chunk of land live there and farm for your food (no outside food) you will have to bring various types of animals (cows, chickens pigs) To see how well you guys do out in the wild on a farm by yourselves. That way you'll live the way you want and have scientific data to prove if it works or not.
And, what would that prove? Whoever said anything about living in the wild? There are lots of communities that do fine without eating or causing suffering to animals. What would they need cows, chickens and pigs for? Do their laundry or something?

Animals consume a huge amount of food and yield much less food due to 85% of food energy consumed being lost as body heat. Also, if people were more compassionate towards animals in general, we wouldn't let them become extinct. I hate how everyone assumes that this is how all farms operate. I work on a pig farm and have never in my entire life seen a pig killed in that manner. His comments are guarded in the courtroom but any producer or veterinarian could tell you this is not "proper procedure" and certainly not common in agriculture. As someone who has raised and cared for pigs it makes me sick to think people watch this and think that it is common practice.
I don't think that this exact thing is common practice, or even that the extreme cruelty shown across the board in these videos is necessarily, but even the normal procedures for this type of facility are inhumane and unhealthy. Confinement factory farming is inherently inhumane.

The little pigs are taking care of the best they can be on many farms, some animals have to be euthanized so they don't suffer, medication won't fix them. I can find something wrong with a lot of jobs and how they are done, this video is just a way to stereotype all factory farms. I don't agree with all the methods that are shown, some I agree are common practice, but taken to the extreme. Good job on finding one of the BAD farms

That's a load of BS. I've seen tonnes of footage from factory farms all over the place and they do the same thing. Some have reformed recently due to pressure from PETA like some that aren't burning the feathers off of live turkeys with scalding hot water anymore. Battery cages are very common in factory farms. Factory farms are about the bottom line: profits. If cramming more animals into small quarters produces more product then that's what they do regardless of the suffering it causes.

Just because of one farm here or there not doing things properly, doesn't mean that every factory farm is anything like that. A lot of farms, especially those that employ good, caring employees, with proper training and correction for improper behavior take good care of these animals. I take damn good care of the animals I am in charge of. They are better off in a crate than a pen where they kick the shit out of each other because they are deciding dominance and killing the little one.

Honestly Hollow here is a great Idea that may help you guys offered by a meat eating son of a bitch. Get your friends together ask peta and others like you to donate money buy a large chunk of land live there and farm for your food (no outside food) you will have to bring various types of animals (cows, chickens pigs) To see how well you guys do out in the wild on a farm by yourselves. That way you'll live the way you want and have scientific data to prove if it works or not.

Did you watch the whole thing, Ways to legally kill a pig, Electricution, Shot to the head, poison by carbon monoxide, These ways are all legal but expensive and dangerous for the farmer. also they involve a certain amountof cleaning up

Also taste better then some to. Let me break it down for you if everybody ate only veggies we would quikly run out of room for the Animals we love and there enviorments. Also in times of draught many people would die from hunger. Also we would be in direct competition for some of these animals we love for the foods we eat. And no I'm not eating franken chicken.

Do you think these animals would want to be alive so they can live in confined areas where they can't even turn around and they get their offspring taken away from them and then die a brutal death? Ok if animals are so human explain why they sometimes eat there young even when there is an abundent food supply and healthy enviorment for raising them. WE are diffrent from animals science has proven that much.

The reason why there is an artificially high number of animals is because they are being bred to be eaten on a massive scale. I don't have an issue with humanely killing some if their population is out of control but that isn't the issue here. And, who said animals are humans? @jsh78mang: If we didn't eat animals there would actually be a lot more food to feed people in times of drought. Animals consume a huge amount of food and yield much less food due to 85% of food energy consumed being lost as body heat. Also, if people were more compassionate towards animals in general, we wouldn't let them become extinct. We certainly wouldn't allow that to happen to our pet animals that live in the same households as us nor on a large scale.

If we did not kill animals there poulations would boom meaning less food for all then there would be alot of animals including humans starving. Also the predator animals would boom with a bigger food supply and run over intop populated areas as some do now but in a bigger way. Do you even listien to your selfs. As for your animals going extinct I'm pretty sure they had a good grasp on these things before you guys started easting veggies and crying woe is me for the animals.

@jsh78mang: The point is that animals are treated much worse on factory farms than on regular farms. The pigs in this video are kept in confined areas and thrown around like they mean nothing. Animals are generally treated much better on small farms.

I hate how everyone assumes that this is how all farms operate. I work on a pig farm and have never in my entire life seen a pig killed in that manner. The guys in the video take everything, switch around facts and make it sound WAY worse than it really is. It's extremely annoying. Spend your money on something more usefull than these fuckin movies.

These Allegations on if the pig is suffering or not cannot really be proven fairly...Like the expert said. He could not determine the pigs physical state of being.

His comments are guarded in the courtroom but any producer or veterinarian could tell you this is not "proper procedure" and certainly not common in agriculture. As someone who has raised and cared for pigs it makes me sick to think people watch this and think that it is common practice.

I don't think that this exact thing is common practice, or even that the extreme cruelty shown across the board in these videos is necessarily, but even the normal procedures for this type of facility are inhumane and unhealthy. Confinement factory farming is inherently inhumane.

Disgusting! Humans do not realize that if they were the ones being treated as such, they would be horrified. Because it is an animal for slaughter does not mean you should be abusive in your treatment to it. I mean the whole process from birth to death is brutal. Some farms choose to allow their slaughter animals to to retain some of their natural daily behaviors and sense of dignity. I would never trust a person who could mistreat any animal. Animals are used for food but show some mercy. Damn!
