  • @Finnythegoose

    always glad to help!

  • holy shit

  • wow!

  • Amazing shot! One of the bests I've ever seen!

  • Shame about your awful choice of music

  • i love the wide angle lens

  • How the did it is shown in "I am Cuba, the Siberian Mammoth" (which I found on Netflix) and really should have been a bonus feature of Coppola and Scorsese's "I am Cuba" DVD. It was done with a tower lift, and cables over the street with a heavy camera which didn't need stabilization, and and a handful of camera men. It's quite a feat of engineering.

  • @Nic7320 that's amazing! I have to look that up

  • Comment removed

  • Coulda been several cinematographers working with levers and pulleys?

  • Must be a cam mounted to an RC copter.

  • @DigitalPraise7

This movie was made in 1964, I don't think so.

  • @DigitalPraise7 if you look above the flag, you can see the 2 cables, so NOOOO :-)

  • @makilex Thanks.

  • @DigitalPraise7 That's gotta be the DUMBEST FUCKING ANSWER I'VE EVER HEARD.

  • @abvflux Thank you for your understanding.

  • @abvflux Calm down. I could smell digitalpraise7's sarcasm from a mile away ;P

  • truly amazaing

  • I am flying :D

  • amazing

  • THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE GENIUS SHOT!!!

  • if you are going for a shot like that, at least use a steadicam when possible.. christ what a waste

  • @DIRECTORshane Nevermind the fact that this film was made a decade before the Stedicam was invented, right? Christ, what a waste of a post.

  • @BoringMonkey I was reacting to this and then I misspelled intelligence, so clearly I'm the dumb.

  • @BoringMonkey 4 real? then how the hell did they do it, I can't even do it on a steady cam, it's hella hard. wow what a beauty

  • @BoringMonkey 4 real? then how the hell did they do it, I can't even do it on a steady cam, it's hella hard. wow what a beauty and nice nickname boringmonkey lol

  • @DIRECTORshane Was that comment a joke?

  • @MintySpunkBubble he be trollan dog B-)

  • @shpytahmon Oh.

  • I AM CUBA (Soy Cuba) one of the most impressive films of all time. Russian film crew used a crazy system of cables and homemade jibs to pull off shots like this throughout the film.

  • It wouldn't let me post the actual link, but you can Google it.

  • These shots were accomplished by assembling a line of technicians, and passing the camera down the line, from hand to hand.

    Source: Wikipedia/I am Cuba

    Hope this helps?

  • This shot would take like a whole day to reset.

  • This is an amazing shot. I wonder how they did that exactly

  • whats the name of this track...?

  • Wow.

  • Good song choice

  • How did the shot out of the window happen!!??

  • You can see the cables at the top of the window just before the camera goes out and while it is tracking the crowd.

  • This is from the movie " SOY CUBA " ..one of the best photography ever made in cinema years before photoshop and other programs came out...this is pure the imagination of the camera MAN....great art, great view, great sense of space.....No film have ever done what this film have done.....No hollywood no one...a real master piece !!!

  • Sorry I didn't get the original audio by the way, I can tell you're a fan of the movie.

  • @shpytahmon I am Cuban...this is the best Cuban Russian coproduction ever made...the music is ok with the clip coz it goes up together with the emotion of the photography...Gracias for uploading !

  • @shpytahmon Cowboy Bebop last episode closing song?

    it somehow fits

  • @FRAJAHEHI Yeah I know right? I don't know why the location I found this clip at was missing audio, but this somehow fits... Even though that guy that is dead here doesn't look or act a thing like Spike.

  • damn, how did the camera go over the street like that after it went out the window/pass the flag at 1:43?

  • Absolutely brilliant scene and are really brilliant movie too. So inspiring.

  • wow.

like, wow. I don't even know where to start.

  • @dranusface You're ignorance is embarrassing. This movie is not even about Mexico - it is about the Cuban Revolution and it was produced by the Soviet Union in an effort to show Russia what Cuba was like. It was considered a failure in its time, and now is hailed as one of the most amazing movies of the Cold War era. It was a revolutionary movie, one which gave us some of the most breathtaking techniques we use today in film-making. So how about you learn about the subject before you insult it?

  • Successful troll! You get a cookie.

  • *your ignorance

please proof read your statements, retarded assholes like dranus will see that and disregard the whole statement based on that alone.

  • THE HITS KEEP ON COMING ON THIS SUPER DRANUS SUPER HOUR.

Coming up in the next 15 minutes: more racial slurs and gay bashing. Stay tuned.

  • The only thing that makes me sad is that this video has so few comments and you are half of them.

  • @dranusface The saddest part about this is that shpytahmon actually successfully predicted your next comment.

  • Yea this whole movie had some great shots. I heard they just passed along the camera somehow thoughout the people idk know how it was done but it looks amazing!!

  • amaizing...perfect..best cinematography ever in this scene.....

  • wow! that is incredible...

  • stunning camera work

  • "I Am Cuba" has outstanding cinematography.
