  • My question is how do you expect to make a movie that portrays modern times is a relevant way without having the many products that are embeded in our everyday lives. Are people just supposed to be in movies without cellphones, computers, the internet or all the other things needed to represent modern life? Everything isnt a conspiracy once you realize that then you can see whats really going on.

  • Also, for all of those people that make it their duty to complain about the clutter of advertising, they forget that they also get a lot in return for their attention. Free tv channels, cheaper movies, cheap and free newspapers, etc. I would like to see how many people would choose to pay double the price for the movie with no advertisements in or before it. I'm going to guess its a very small number.

  • This is ridiculous. Of course there are product placements and advertising in movies. Movies USE products! and how ridiculous would it look if all you saw was 'no name brand' on everything in the movie. its the products that make things feel real.

  • to answer that last question, yeah it happened. Product placement in movies will never stop happening, just like the cherry flavor in a can of refreshing Cherry Coca-Cola!

  • its not whether its imposing on rights, its how propaganda can effect us and make us act based on what weve seen, regardless of whether we know that or not.

  • why does this matter? People are allowed to make money. How is this imposing on anybodys rights where it should be questionable?

  • BAHAHAHA lol

  • The more I read into these new trends, fom Chomsky to Bell, I notice corporations appear at the root, at least partially of all these new developments. Has anyone else noticed this?

  • BCVChannel1 makes a point, but still you don't pay for aiding the production, but you pay for just the product, and thus whatever it contains.

  • I think movie viewers are deceived by having to pay for movies with "advertisement." If that that is what producers and placement agencies want they should either cut the price of movie tickets or show it for free like TV shows.

  • thanks!

  • Thank you for
