If I want to hear kind of classic style I'd go for Manuel Barueco, Alvaro Pieri, The Catona Twins - sorry, but he's not my favorite.

Andy McGee plays in a completely other league of fingerstyle guitar, Bögershausen never will reach.

But compliment: that little greasy selfmarketing-machine works and though he is playing not brilliant or virtuoso it is professional and also inspiring. So, don't get me wrong: I accept him, but I don't accept the overrating of his followers

@MrGuitarpete It's Andy "Mckee" not McGee. Also, I don't think he is overrated at all. He plays precise and professionally, but that's just the style that he has become accustomed to. They all have different styles of the way they play. You can hardley compare them to each other and call it a reasonable comparison.

@MrGuitarpete Given Boegershausen's incredible control in every note he hits (technique, volume, etc.), I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have been difficult for him to learn percussive strikes if he wanted to. I mean, all you need for that is rhythm...

It's his style that's throwing you off. I like McKee too, but they're two totally different players. If you wanna appreciate Ulli, you've gotta get past simple variety of notes and into the more subtle things.

In my opinion that is easy pieсe for gutar peformer but it require a great feelings during pefomance. Also here would be better to get rid  from uniformity of the melody with the development music theme in other direction or something else. But that is composer's preferenses of course.

Who is better? The simplicity of this song is it's beauty. You are able to attach the sound to any emotion you feel. When a song can do that, its great. I am not a pro by any means but this song gets hits the spot for me at this present time.

Besides being such a lovely piece. when you get the tabs and start working on it you find that it is a very simple piece to play. the only difficulty is one 5 fret spread but I was able to get it. Heck there is an 11 year old Korean boy who plays it on YT. Much of the beauty comes from Ulli's playing and the great settings he is using in amplification.
