  • 2:28 How is that sound even possible to make? Just more Biffy genius I guess...

  • It's time to consider... What you want for dinner!

  • I think this band is fucking great!

But you hear a second guitarplayer almost the whole time in every song

Why not put him on the stage as well instead of pretending the band doesn't get any help?

  • @teunobeunofeuno Because he's not a main member of the band.

  • @teunobeunofeuno the second guitar player might possibly be james? maybe? since he's a guitar player in the band?

  • @M0nTh3B1FF Why isnt he on stage like the other three? Is it because he wont take his shirt off? :p

  • @teunobeunofeuno the second guitar player is Mike Vennart, he plays on stage and is a member of the band when they tour for backup guitars. He is not a main member of the band during writing, just when playing live :)

  • @ChrisYoung1989 you forgot to mention he was in one of the most epic British bands of all time Oceansize!!

  • @tooltard true story, great band too :P

  • 3:29......here we go

  • 2:27 wtf lol? ;d

  • These guys are probably the only people who when i see wearing skinny jeans i don't think ''dear god'' :P

  • @TheTvrulesthenation Yeah? these guys are the only people I see wearing nothing but skinny jeans and I think "my dear gods"because I worship them.

  • You can see that they LOVE what they do. :)

  • I have this album, got it for Xmas, it's BOSS.

  • best chorus ever!

  • otherwise, mon the biff. Best band of the generation in my opinion. Musical geniuses.

  • loved this DVD, their songs sound better live than in the studio. One thing really bugged me about it though, they use slow motion ALL the time -_-

  • I cant keep wuuuupppp lol mon the biffy

  • Best Harmony ever at 1:46

  • Trousers all i need.

  • Do they play with a baking track? or have a second guitarist hidden somwhere? Just watch the @ 2:25, simon doesnt strum the guitar, but the sound is still there. But still, great performance! MON THE BIF!

  • @hentz789 they have another guitarist, but it's strange that he's hidden, in other lives the secong guitarist was visible.

  • @gabyartes01 Oh,okay. I think i saw him in one of these glastonbury videos. Thanks!

  • @hentz789 They do, he's called Mike Vennart and he used to be the singer and guitarist of my all time favourite band, Oceansize. You should check them out, if you're in to progressive rock.

  • @peavey2 I will. Hope it's good!

  • @hentz789 There is a second guitarist hidden on the far right side behind the bassist. you can see his backup (left handed) guitar in this video behind the singer at 3:02 and you can see the guy in the "mountins live at Wembley" video at 1:21. and indeed, he is a lefty guitar player. LOL ;-) don't know why they had to hide him that much.

  • @antisocd THAT WOULD BE MIKE FROM OCEANSIZE!

  • @hentz789 and as someone else already gave you all the answers my CSI style investigation was all in vain LOLOLOL

  • who's the fuckin' bampot that didn't like this

  • biify clyro came to india to open for metallica......and left many biffy fans behind..didn't knw alot about dem but when bubbles started everybody was blown off...powerful stage presence.....RESPECT.

  • Anyone know when there gonna come tour in the UK again?

  • @SophiesOtherAccount soon I hope mate!

  • "Fap"ourite band.

  • To settle 2 arguments in 1 comment.

    1. Autotune was clearly used in post-production, anyone who can't hear this should be castrated.

    2. The noise everyone is hearing is clearly just Simon practising his pig-squealing for the new Biffy songs.

  • @SmooshyBastard London Symphony Orchestra puts out live recordings made up from 2 performances. Tthey take the the overall best perfomance but combine the 2 when there's a weak bit-its called patching in. It's common practice when a live performance is being recorded for the market .Everyone does it . wtf .If you only like raw live performances pay up and go to 'em.

  • @Lionshed and what does your comment have to do with mine exactly? i fail to see the connection... and at what point did i mention that i only like raw performances? where are you reading this?

ps. i have "paid up and gone to 'em". dont lecture me.

  • @SmooshyBastard Sorry mate if I sounded unbearably pompous. I.guess we're both in agreeament really (except for your pig squealing remark about Simon's voice... and castration's a bit severe I'd say). The whole autotune niggling was turning me into Irritataion Incarnate - so interfering with the spirit of the song. Maybe meant it as response for MREAGLEPAUL.....or maybe I should let it go...

  • @Lionshed yeah okay, but the pig squealing comment was sarcastic. i dont know or care what that sound was tbh.

  • I think he sing better live ;)

  • @Zdrowy9966 if you meant this as a dig at the full autotune argument. this is hilarious. kudos.

  • 1:30 <33

  • fav band

  • @M1903Alien He inhales... No fingers on strings except his left hand which is not moving ;)

  • everybody that dont think that this band is epic... go f*ck yourselves!

  • As much as I love this band, Simon should be shot for using live auto-tune.

  • @MREAGLEPAUL there's no such thing as "live" autotune in that context. That was done in the studio in post production. You think the album just jumped out of the sound guy's desk after the gig?

The autotune on this pisses me off. The more Simon Neil's vocals are played up to "commercial" standards, the less people will actually appreciate the real character of his voice. Which is how you get idiots at TITP going "THAT GUY CANNAE SINGG". blah blah blah, but still a cool live album.

  • @ScrapBrainMusic Youtube search "Antares Vocal Producer" and view the Antares AVP-1 Demonstration at the top, try not to lol at the guy demonstrating. I wasn't at the gig so can't comment on whether it was actually used live but it is easily possible, I'm just shocked at how appallingly obvious it is on this track.

  • @MREAGLEPAUL no no, I'm very aware autotune can be used live, but it's horribly impractical and generally sounds completely daft if you attempt to use it as anything other than an obvious effect. I can practically guarantee to you that Biffy did not, do not and will not use autotune live, ever.

  • 2:27 that's the soud my ears will marry.

  • @UivadKram Please, I can not identify what is the sound. What is it?

  • great, great, great band!!!

  • I wish I wrote this song.

  • Too brilliant for my ears.

  • Still love tgis tune

  • His breath intake at 2:27 give me goosebumps.

  • @talonsraised That was fingers against the strings xD

  • @dddevoy He was screeching his breath inwards. You can see the veins on his neck as he does so... :)

  • @talonsraised If you watch his picking hand, you can see him sliding the pick up the string. He's just doing it at the same time as breathing in xD

  • @dddevoy He is just breathing in, trust me. I think most people will agree with me on this one. His chest moves as he is screeching, his veins show he is breathing in, not to mention his mouth moves. Plus, even if it was his fingers against the strings, it would not make that kind of noise. :)

  • @talonsraised Any one who plays guitar knows that he is grinding his pick on the strings located on top of the pickups

  • @indeedeez I play guitar... and i have for about 3 years. IF he was grinding his plec against the strings, it would have to be on the bottom 3 strings, E, A, D. Simon clearly has his hand near the other 3 strings, G, B, E. If you grind your plec against the Strings G, B, E. They do not make any noise... Okay? Goodbye.

  • @dddevoy @talonsraised is right, its pretty clearly his inhale making the noise, his hand isnt close to what you're suggesting.

  • only fantastic !!! WOW !!

  • the ending solo is just orgasmic

  • I was so disappointed when I watched Biffy on the tv at Glastonbury. This is what I imagined they would be like live!

  • @mattydalton1 I think a lot of it is to do with the sound quality at open-air music festivals, particularly when there are 10 or so bands playing in a day. I was at Glasto and saw their set, and I've seen them at various other places, and the sound quality didn't do them justice.

This has been taken from the sound desk, where the roadies have time to set up the sound levels properly. And rightly so.

Fucking awesome band, just wish the DVD wasn't over produced, taking away the live feel :(

  • Biffy, I wish I appreciated you more when you played here in Perth Dec 2010......Believe me, hearing you that night created a love of you, I'd be the most mad passionate fan here in WA if you come back again!!!!

  • thats passion, thats music. thats biffy clyro.

  • @Spazgls You sound like an M&S advert aha

  • Awesome!

  • Simon Neil is a genius.
