As Sahar started out as a thrash metal outfit way back in 1987 - during the Golden era of German Thrash eg; Sodom, Kreator, Poison, Destruction, etc..These bands in addition to other greaat name like Mercyful Fate, Venom, Hallow Eve, Postmortem & Fantom Warrior, were among the bands early influences & inspirations. The band was founded by Malik Hanael (bass) & Sam Uriel (drums), later on joined by Malik's younger brother - One Barchiel (guitars).
