  • Not Many Know Of Her,When I Think Everyone Should Know Of HER!! Her Music Is Such A Tease Of The Past That We Will Never Get To Know About... I Wish I Lived In Her Time I Don't Care Of How Long Ago iT Was.. I'd Rather Be In That Time Period Then To Be In Ours Right Now.. I Don't Care For Anything In The Time Period Cause There Is Nothing Good In This Time Period Everything That Was Amazing An Beautiful Was In This Time Period... An So I Wish I Lived In The Past Then The Present.. LittleMiss..:)

  • This is the music I listen to while doing math.

  • @jeabo0adhd Same! It helps me concentrate on my Calc II :P

  • Gosh that is so beautiful!

  • Mourning Music for September 11, 2001.

  • I could care less if she's my sister in Christ, she composed perfect music. Isn't that enough for you people?

  • this would be great music to use for the opening credits of a film - one dealing with dark and profound themes

  • Remind me of eastern orthodox chanting!!! Impressive!!

  • Reminds me of eastern orthodoxy chanting!! Beautiful, mustical.!!!

  • I guess this is what plays when you go to Heaven :s

  • @SpaceAgeNinja yeah man, and she was the first woman to conquer such a great position, shes the first woman representative, she lived from 1098-1179

  • Bautiful!!!!!!

  • The sound carries me to a place I long to be...

  • love

  • .

Anybody who say they´re not Chirstian and feel this music in their heart, in reality say they are.

Every soul is Christian, as Saint Agustine said.

Do not worry and do not hurry to label yourselves. It is useless, because the mighty river of Divine love blows every human labeling away.

A son never forgets he is one. Never.

...It seems so strange to me now that there was a time in my life when I used to say I was agnostic.

    Love. Love. Love Divine.

  • @lovefaithhopelove I'm glad to be agnostic. I believe in myself and those around me, not those above me ;) But I love music from all over the world, and from all kinds of people, and this is beautiful.

  • You Have Made A Sign In My Heart You made a sign in my heart Where the moon is full enough To be empty of itself. I shall stay up Touching the starlight, Until something of me melts in You, Beloved. You have placed a light Under the dress of Creation. I want undoing As a waterfall wants undoing in its own release. I am a leaf trembling On the furthest branch of You. I listen to the heartbreaking Love-songs of the wind.
  • How strong could be the human soul, to bear the eternity and loving it as well...

  • eternal

  • A very Lonely, lost sounding tune. The Emptiness of Eternity is echoed by the sounds.

  • thank you its heavenly in a thrilling way lux aeterna

  • One person missed the "Like" button.

  • I am not a Catholic yeti...

  • Dear pirmpR I'm very sorry, but I clicked on the ''dislike'' button.by mistake, I don't know how I managed to do that, but I meant to click the ''Like'' button...Maybe you could remove my mistake. This is beautiful music

  • @SuperDonna888 thank you; it's not really a matter, i actually don't care about "statistics". I only want to share some beautiful musics :)

    (sorry, I don't speak a fluent Englisg^^)

  • @pirmpR Thank you for the reply, I appreciate the beautiful music, that you've posted and btw it looks fleunt to me :)

  • @SuperDonna888 Aw, you're so cute ^_^

  • Though I was raised as a Christian,I am not a religious person in the traditional sense of the word, However I do recognise and accept the great teachings of Christianity. I also accept the teachings of buddism are great too. The two are not incompatible, (only we humans tend to seperate and divide them) Surely we should embrace good teaching whereever they come from.

God bless Hildegarde for her untiring work in the service of God.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful music and peace to all

  • It soars.

  • Hildegard von B's music is sensational, the more so when one considers the time at which it was written. I think we should hear it more often - a lot more often in fact!

  • Does anyone know what instrument creates this background drone?

  • @dlong6184 It is called a wheel fiddle, or a hurdy gurdy.

  • Geweldig! Yes so tranquil and very beautiful ~ the human voice!

  • Very Appropriate for Meditation, Remembrance and Mourning.

  • I am not even one who cares about the specific, but rather the eternal spiritual, the place where all religious thought is one....and I love this piece of music.

Just imagine what life was like in the 11th century, it's difficult to do, now 1000 years ago.

  • magnificent. she draws us into her mystical experience.

  • Gorgeous!

  • pwns lady gaga

  • @ubermensch826 lady who?

  • heerlijk!

  • LA MUSICA DEL ALMA ES INTEMPORAL.

GRACIAS HIDEGARD POR EL HERMOSO REGALO.

    NAMASTE.

  • O vis Aeternitatis Power of Eternity you who ordered all things in your heart, through your Word all things are created just as you willed, and your very Word calls forth flesh in the shape which was drawn from Adam. Power of Eternity Power of Eternity.

  • Hildegarde, dearest soul and gardian, help me in my quest and thank you for your presence in my life. May your life be an inspiration for mine.

  • My Lord,

My soul is being called by you in every moment your loving heart gives me to live.

Creation is not final, human is not final, if not guided by you.

I pray you my Lord, help me to be humble, strenghten me in my weakness, so that leaded by your grace, and surrounded by faithful servants ou yours, i find the path to myself, to You and to Eternal life.

May mylife be what you need it to be, may my battles be an help to many souls, may your grace tranform my life in a childlike offering.

  • brilliant!

  • when I see the natural celestial and religious images while listening to this music I can't help but feel a sense of satisfaction that science won over the ignorance of the Church. The true heroes perservered through persecution to help better explain our world so that all could live a little closer to the light.

  • There is something otherworldly about this; it's beautiful, period revival has made exploration of some of the beautiful forgotten music of times we haven't even considered in our artistic categorizations.

  • hermosísimo...

  • The myriads spell lasts for eternity and resounds into the hearts of receptive mankind. An Angel calls out to them 'Let this message touch you deeply allow a stream of peace to pervade your souls, and may you hear this until you are cleansed of all hatred and bitterness, obey its meaning, it's secret is not known to all, search for the answers and you will truly have serenity in your lives' And the mighty angel's name is Love. (for my son, Elliott x. Daddy)

  • So BEAUTIFUL!!! Thank you!!

  • me gusta

  • The beuatifull melody, in extasis of spirity.

I to belong Sevent day adventist church, and this music is an celebrety. An inspiration celic.

  • I am not a Catholic, yet I greatly appreciate this beautiful, inspiring work by a sister in Christ. She was a fascinating lady to be sure.

  • @seats19 If you're not Catholic, you're outside of the communion of saints and thus St Hildegard is not your sister in Christ.

  • @Ultraroyaliste Sad as it is to see you write this, what you say is very true.

  • @RandDguy you don't have to be a catholic to call her your sister. In a christian view we should treat everybody as our own brother or sister. Christianity isn't a club were you have to be part of to call other members your brother or sister.

  • @Koningshofbaan Yes, and you can take this thought one step further. Regardless of what religion you subscribe to, as part of humankind, and as a member of the human race..... we should always endeavor to treat everyone as brother and sister. Its the only way we are going to survive, and advance as an intelligent civilization, on this tiny little planet we live on.

One does not have to have any particular religious affliation, in order to see and feel the beauty in this singing.

  • Is this done in Solfeggio scale?

  • O power of eternity who have ordered all things in your heart; through your Word all things are created as you have willed.

An inspiring composition. Hildegard sought and found mystical union with God, and her writings and music derive from her communion with Christ and his angels.

  • Hildegard hat den Text gedichtet. Haben sich von ihr auch Hinweise auf die Musik erhalten oder ist die eine Schöpfung von "Sequentia"? -

Did Hildegard give hints as how to sing her poetry or is the music completely by the performing ensemble?

  • It's so relaxing

  • Nebula, galaxies, caverns, cathedrals & candles - All part of the same Creation..... !!

  • I'm doubtful anyone will know, but where did the painting at 0:36 come from?

  • Splendide !!!!!!!!!

  • I love Hidegarda!!!!!!

  • esta musica me da escalofrios

  • jajajajaja
