  • The RZArecta

  • RZA sahn

  • RZA the best ever.

  • 01. DJ Premier

    02. RZA

    03. Dr. Dre

    04. Pete Rock

    05. Boi-1da

  • @ThePharmacistRx

did u forget about jdillaaa orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr?/

  • RZA's beats sound more hood-ish, while Premier's suit my taste more. When it all comes down to it though, no one's really better. It's all about preference.

  • 1. RZA

    2. Premo

    3. Pete Rock

    4. Q-Tip

    'nuff said

  • I'm gonna have to go with Premo. His beats have been CONSISTENT since the early 90's. RZA fell off hard with that whole digital phase, and while his beats are getting better recently, there was a gap period after the first round of solo albums where he was a bit hit-or-miss. Not to take anything away from RZA, he's one of my favorite producers, but Premier is just too consistent.

  • dat shadowboxin beat is fucking ill

  • i think im gonna have to say RZA

  • I don't think this is a fair comparison. They're both legends in hip-hop but at slightly different timeframes. A better comparison would have been Premier Vs Pete Rock, and maybe RZA Vs J Dilla.

  • There both legendary Producers. Both have gritty, raw,Real Hip Hop. I cant decide..

  • Soulja Boy > Premo, Pete Rock, and Havoc

  • RZA & DJ PREMIER> In my opinion the best 2 hip-hop producers of all time. I personally like the rza. His sound untouchable!!

  • dont compare them they both legends in hip hop they both deserve equal respect people have preferences but hip hop is larger than that they both amazing artists

  • WU TANG CLAN > dj premier

  • Rza is nice.

  • We have a lot of great producers but Primo held it down for so long its just hard to not give him his props, He is like Rakim, you dont have to put him on your top 5, you should just know. but Large Pro, RZA, Diamond D, Pete Rock, Marley Marl, Alchemist, J Dilla, EZ Mo B, You could go all day, but Primo had it on lock for mad long, almost all top 90's albums had Primo.

  • For me Prem beats any producer in the industry.. Dre, GZA, Pete Rock, Q-Tip, J-Dilla, Large Professor, Eric B.. he's made so many classic jams over the years, its hard not to recognize him as the greatest!

  • I Like DJ Premier but idc THE RZA (Bobby steels) (The rzarector) so yeah THE RZA

  • Clash of the titans....if I had to pick one or the other... Premo all day!!!

  • Rza all the way but the new york state of mind is one my best beats ever

  • RZA = Greatest hip hop producer EVER!!! I dare ANYONE to challenge me on this.

  • @bobbywinterz no 1 can challenge you on that RULER ZIG ZAG ZIG ALLAH is the greastest! peace to the gods

  • @bobbywinterz J Dilla

  • @bobbywinterz I like Preemo more because his beats are much more cinematic and he matches people specific rap styles. RZA is fantastic, but some of the beats begin to sound too similar.

  • @Eziokilla9595 RZA beats sound too similar???? Maybe thats because you heard a MILLION other producers regurgitate the same formula the RZA created over the past 18yrs. RZA beats NEVER sound the same. He uses different samples, drums, bass, and patterns everytime he touches the boards. Their is NO OTHER producer in music HISTORY with a Catalogue more Diverse. Kanye West, 9th Wonder, Justblaze, Premo (Yes Premo), ALL have elements of the RZA in Their production. Premo track are good but they....

  • @Eziokilla9595 Continued......ALL sound the same! The same old drums, bass and scratch. I like Premier but he's VERY predictable. The RZA has a witty UNpredictable, UNcompromising style that cuts like a fucking razor blade. Like i said before...NO CONTEST.

  • @bobbywinterz I say they sound a like because of all the loops. Premo can switch it and make an unexpected orchestral, or grimy sounding beat. I like Premo better, but RZA is Top 3 for sure. Premo, Pete Rock, RZA.

  • @Eziokilla9595 That's a lie. The RZA only loops rare records that no one else has. Normally RZA sample sounds from ten records, ALL different genres to create one beat! That's what The RZA does best. He uses sample like a "Painters Palette" With great obscurity. No one does that better than The RZA. They just unearthed the sample he used for "ice Cream" 16yrs later!!! If you want more proof check out - "Sample for Raekwon "Ice Cream" - Earl Klugh "A Time For Love"...RZA is a genius

  • @bobbywinterz DJ Premier

  • King Kong vs Godzilla right here...seriously cannot put one over the either..I guess you would say Primo because he is more consistent...99.9% of his beats are fire..but when compare his BEST with the RZA's BEST...I don't know man... = \

  • Two different sounds. Two well respected. Two true producers to the real hip hop sound that is fading into days industry

  • KING PREMIER

  • daemn dis is hard....but i gotta go with dj premier...quality is his recepie!

  • Honestly you can't go wrong with either. DJ Premier and RZA are both in my top 5 producers along with 9th Wonder, Alchemist and Kanye West. All those guys influence my style. Check my page out. I'm also looking for anyone who can freestyle, nasty lyricists, all around flowists and straight spittas to give a go around on my beats. PM me and we'll hook it up.

  • I't is really hard to compare they have 2 different sounds. Im a Wu fan so i say rza. They are both great, and both pioneered a type of sound. I think Rza is more creative and he has also done more in his career with scoring movies and tv shows. They are definitely at the top of the hip hop producer list, along with pete rock and dre. I'll also give props to kanye, swizz beatz ( unorthodox but he has his own style like none other), , just blaze, and Dj muggs JDilla stands at the top though.,

  • @anon4374 I wouldn't say rape, but Preemo got it.

  • I prefer Wu-Tang over Gang Starr, but I also prefer Primo over RZA.

  • Dj Prem anyday

  • Dj Premier and who?

  • @flavjuniorgrill gotta respect RZA !!

  • i personally think premiers better but u cant sell rza short hes the fucking man

  • wow...wtf...how have can you pit ANYONE against premier? that just doesnt work..preemo is always best...take this vid down

  • @JKDspirit come on man !! RZA got the nutts to be compared to DJ Premire !!

  • @avalanchecanvass

lex luger is garbage his songs all sound the same ,they sound like processed monotone pieces of garbage, id rather hear africa bambataa kurtis blow beats than that over produced same sounding rice krispy snares piece of crap lex luger puts out.

  • @avalanchecanvass

LMAOOOO go sit tha fuck down kid

mr all of my beats sound like bmf will never be legendary

  • this is like comparing big & pac.

2 different styles, both ill as it gets.

  • the fact that rza has produced outside the genre of hip hop producing reggae/dancehall beats for many artists and producing soundtracks for movies such as kill bill... i think he gets the edge

  • Ruler Zig Zag Zig Allah 100%

  • @mrugod Astaghfirullah

  • both are fkkn ill ass producers no doubt.

  • @MeckOneandOnly amen

  • jknnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • jnkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • i believe rza makes more money so if ur goin by how successful either or is i would say rza is more successful. idk if this is a fact but considering how much of a movement wu tang made on rap alltogether makes me think that rza must be more successful

  • RZA may be more artistic and diverse, but at the end of the day, Premo cant be touched by any other producer

  • both are amazing legends but personally i like premo more.

  • Primo hands down.

  • wow, this is a good question...I don't know the yardstick you would use to compare the 2.

  • yeah yeah you love one you love em all but i gotta go with RZA for being more diverse #BlueHeartFam

  • can someone give me the names to those premier songs besides the first one, and i dont want a lesson just the names please

  • cant compare b

  • Premier all the way! But RZA is good!

  • Yall sayin r.i.p Dilla i say r.i.p Guru and aint no1 got shit on Primier

  • j- dilla is da god r.i.p he started the whole tang

  • j- dilla is da god r.i.p

  • 1. J Dilla 2. Dj Premier 3. Pete Rock 4. RZA 5. Large Professor 6. Nottz 7. Marley Marl 8. Prince Paul 9. The Neptunes 10. Da Beatminerz 11. Diamond D 12. Easy Mo Bee 13. Madlib 14. Ali Shaheed Muhammad 15. 9th wonder 16. Dr Dre 17. Lord Finesse 18. Dj Quik 19. Dj Scratch 20. Havoc 21. MF Doom 22. Questlove 23. Hi-Tek 24. Q-Tip 25. Dj Muggs
  • Rza is good, but DJ Premier is god of beats!

  • WHAT ABOUT SEX?

  • @NaStyNas1973 and 9th wonder

  • @NaStyNaS1973 foolish to rank them

  • @NaStyNaS1973 Sorry, but Premier doesn't trump Rock

  • @NaStyNaS1973 lol Stfu.

  • @SkateChannel13 you've probably heard 1/4 of the rap i have lol stfu

  • @NaStyNaS1973 I have been listening to Hip Hop since the late 90`s. Look at my channel i no much more about rap than you my friend.

  • @SkateChannel13 based off of my youtube page doesn't mean shit i barely use this site. i've been a hardcore fan since i'm 7-8 years old

  • @NaStyNaS1973 I belive you as well. I started lstening to Hip Hop at 6 but really 7 on Tape`s and CDS.

  • WUTANG AND GANGSTARR BOTH REP THE TRUTH IN HIP HOP NO DOUBT

  • the producer vs the DJ ouch hard to say they are both dope

  • Rza has 36 chambers, Odb return to the 36 chambers, Method man tical, Rae's only built for Cuban linx, Ghost's iron man Gza's liquid swords and wu tang forever. the hottest rap albums of all time cover to cover.

In no way im trying to disrespect Premo but i got to give RZA the win

    Severe Punishment.

  • @starks758 yea but premo had classic albums as gangstarr, jeru the damajas first two albums which were amazing, and all the group home albums. and countless collaborations with nas, jay z, biggie, fat joe, big L and a bunch more. i would say its a tie

  • IF ANY OF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT MAKING BEATS AND DID RESEARCH ALL RZA DOES IS LOOP SONGS FOR 2 BARS WITH NO DRUMS LACED MOST OF THE TIME. WHILE PRIMO CHOPS AND BENDS SOUNDS AND CANT EVEN IDENTIFY THE SAMPLE

  • @LarroSTK I know a lot about making beats. been doing it for years now. RZA has done easy loops many times, but also has some extremely complex beats as well. to say that "ALL HE DOES IS" ?????????? Bullshit! RZA is an absolute monster on the boards! He is certainly more likely than Premo to make easy beats, bt he is FAR from incapable of doing anything and everything Premo does. I can't pick one over the other personally, but i like Rza's music better due the epic mic skills of the Wu.

  • In my opinion, Premo. But yeah like people said. There both legends.

  • RZA.

  • Honesly i would say Dj premier is the better producer. his tracks are just better as a whole, any rapper can sound good on a premier track apart from wayne:) RZA's production is focused solely around wu tang and the different members, which makes him slightly one dimensional. His still a veteran producer, and next to Pre, the second best in the game.

  • @TheEnigmaStyle I know what you mean but I have to disagree, the bulk of his beats are done for clan members but when he produces for the likes of Pun, Biggie, and a lot of other emcee's featured on various albums they fit perfect with what he layed out.

  • id put (for rza) for heavens sake, verbal intercourse, and heaterz.

  • these 2,are my 2 inspirations.there the only 2 that i cant say whos better than who, there both on the same level,my 2 favourites forever, and it will always be that way.

  • wu tang, wu tang, wu tang,I was a wu head but Premo is the shit too

  • Anyone disrespectin either of these producers got problems, got mad respect for both but I like Premo's style a tad bit more

  • Love both of them, but for me, Premo will always be #1

  • which deaf person 'disliked' this 6 times?

  • suuuu

  • both legends but rza is my all time hero. changed the game more than anyone since kool herc.

  • fuucckiinn sounds selection you masta rap suukkeeeers

  • cream- wu tang has one of the best hip hop instrumentals of all timeee

  • RIP BIG L, RIP GURU, RIP ODB, RIP BIG PUN

  • can anyone tell me the name of the first song please?

  • @17DSG moment of truth - gang starr

  • 4saken604 Nas - N.Y. State of mind

  • what's the 2nd song with nas and premo?

  • i'm french i like this music but i don't know our name, can you list this hits please?

  • THE ICE CREAM MAN IS COMING !!!! PREMO SUCK !!!!

  • OH MAN OH MAN !!! THATS MY SHIT !!! UMM !!!

  • RZA BEATS IS OFF THE BUILDING ON IRONMAN !!!!

  • my top5

    1.Dj Premier

    2.Dr Dre

    3.RZA

    4.Alchemist

    5.Kon Artis aka Mr Porter

  • @Lilroycezor !!! WHERE IS HEATMAKERZ AND RZA IS WAY BETTER THAN PREMIERS IN BEATS !!!!

  • Top 5 Producers:

    1. RZA

    2. Havoc

    3. DJ Premier

    4. Dr. Dre

    5. Pete Rock

  • @Beatz4liffe lol no fucking ALC in there thatss some mad joke son

  • premo's production style's one dimensional. don't get me wrong, he's top 3 in my list but rza's responsible for the 90's style everyone's missing. 36 chambers, return to the 36, ob4cl, liquid swords, ironman, wu forever etc. c'mon.

  • Everybody knows that Premier is the best that ever did it! LOL

  • Comparing RZA to Premo ? Fuck this is an insult to Premo and so unfair to RZA. No one has Premo imagination and skill end of discussion....

  • @bggbh its a very fair Compare both of these legendary producers there is no blow out who is better to it at all.

  • PETE ROCK VS DJ PREMIER ALBUM GONNA BE HELLA DOPE!

  • premier...no doubt

  • COLLABERATION BETWEEN THE TWO HAS YET TO BE HEARD!!

  • these men are equel. this is like pepsi vs. coke.

  • damn, close call... if i had to chose, it would prolly be premier

  • Two legends period peace

  • old school rza beats are like no other, howevez premo is a legend of all time(R.i.P. GURU)

  • i got love fo the Almighty Wu Tang Clan but... i goin' fo Preemo on this one.

  • 1 Premier 2 J DIlla 3 Pete Rock 4 RZA

  • @Jstan85 3 and 4 agreed. 1 and 2 gatta be reversed

  • Both dope, but I gotta say Primo. His beats are just amazing. Never heard a Primo beat or a song he produced that I didn't enjoy.

  • Two completely different producers it's hard to compare them. But for me Premo is the GOAT because of his diversity. His production enhanced the lyrics. Shit he made Lil Dap from Group Home listenable.

    #1 DJ Premier

    #2 Marley Marl

#3&#4 Pete Rock/RZA (too close to call)

    #5 Dr Dre

  • obviously premo

  • RZA

(those who r sayin Premo r only doin so kuz it's more 'trendy' to be into Premier at the moment)

  • @ceetheproducer Um, no. The people saying Primo is better are saying it cause he's the best producer of all time. And how the hell is it trendy to be into Premier at the moment? That's just stupid of you to say.

  • @Wtfnotavailable

theres always a producer who is hailed as the 'best' by 'most' people, every year it changes, premo, dre, dilla, 9th wonder, rza, back to premo agen back to dre agen, scott storch, back to dilla agen and so on.

premo is a great producer n he's defo in the top ten but the reason almost everyone is currently into him agen has a lot to do with the current trend right now.

next year people will probably be back on dilla agen (i prefer premo but, hey thats how it is)

  • kinda of off topic kuz this is a premo vs rza vid but correct me if i'm wrong but wouldn't more people usually (not reflected here as this vid attracts premo fans as it features his music) put pete rock above premo.

  • @ceetheproducer I think it's DJ Premier vs Pete Rock vs Rza, these are the 3 and Dilla & Prince Paul maybe slightly after them. I don't put Pete Rock above DJ Premier, but I see your point. I think Premier is the greatest, when it comes down to beats or DJ'in. But Rza made Digi Snacks, I can't take that seriously man. I never heard a wack beat from Preme or Pete, but I did hear some from Rza. Pete was Rza's mentor.

    #1. DJ Premier

    #2. Pete Rock

    #3. Rza

But man what Rza did is legendary CREAM!!!

  • @MidlandKruiskade Alchemist, Organized Noize

  • @ceetheproducer Nope

  • Premo is on top, but that shadowboxing beat is so fucking ..........so fucking.................don't even have a word.

  • RZA-WU TANG ALL DAY LONG ..

  • rza is top 3. But for me Premier is G.O.A.T

  • I'd give up a kidney to hear the two collaborate for an album

  • wtf obviously is premo no one can touch him on the boards but rza is dope tho no doubt

  • Premo is the illest.

  • And the winner is .....

THE RZA!!!! Premo top ten tho. With out a doubt.

  • premo 4 sure but dont get me wrong rza gets huge props from me as well

  • Rza

  • @atlundergroundhiphop i take my answer back because i keep thinking about how much they both influenced me along with other legendary producers Eric B,

Large Pro, J Dilla, Pete Rock, ect. i learned how to make beats and produce just by listening them. i can't say who's better but Rza will always be my personal favorite.

  • Premier and Rza?One of them is HIP and the other's HOP, or vice mutha fucking versa. They both represent real hip hop on a high level.

if you like rza you can't dislike premier and vice mutha fucking versa once again...that if you love hip hop of course.Peace

  • @SmogShot the combination made my eyes bleed.

  • @SmogShot perfect description

  • @unclegusyo thankz uncle G

  • 2 totally different styles , one mainly uses turntables and SOME digital , the other is BOBBY DIGITAL .

  • To be honest both get my vote! Such different styles of hip hop and just classic tracks from both are presented here

  • Premier is awesome but NOBODY can touch The RZA....NOBODY

  • Prem & RZA I can't choose? Both of them had some serious beats!!That's what is missing in Hip Hop right now These dudes is legends... I grew up on they shit for real....

  • best producers alive peace from croatia

  • all my respect for RZA but Premo ??? is one of the best among Pete Rock ,Buckwild, J Dilla, Funkmaster Flex...

  • Dont get me wrong, I love RZA... but he's not like some amazing genius... he just has a very gritty interesting unique style...

  • RZA all day!

  • never knew Premo produced NY state of mind, i've been sleepin'

  • @Rob0wns Now you know son

  • No such thing as a who's better anymore. There both legends

  • I thought this would be easy, but then when I hear C.R.E.A.M. things got complicated! lol

  • sorry, but in my opinion RZA is the man. I dont hate premo, but reeza really brings this all sampling/hip-hop shit to the next level. I mean, you never know, when he samples and when he doesn't, unless you know the sample. I find this very very inspiring

  • RZA is tha shitt

  • Comment removed

  • Man i hate this.. Both in my top 5. But gotta give it to DJ Premier. He's the best to ever do it on a beat. But you know what irritates me? People who say he isn't versatile are fucking dumb and annoying. PREMIER IS VERSATILE FOR SURE LISTEN TO STEP IN THE ARENA AND DAILY OPERATION. THE JAZZ-SOUL SOUND PREMIER EXPERIENCES ON THESE ALBUMS HE EVOLVED. After Premier it would go to Pete, Rza, Jay Dee and Large Pro I think. This was a difficult one.

  • @MidlandKruiskade Even though his career was short lived you have to throw Diamond D in there. Lets not forget underrated Ali Shaheed Muhammad

  • @mrslideinsideu2 I know them they real good, but I think they're like top 20 or so. El P also a great one, and don't forget Nujabes.

  • u didnt put their best beats up!!!!

  • RZA лучший!

  • us hould of putt on the song list

  • RZA's one of my favourite producers, but Premo is the G.O.A.T.

  • Both are super dope

  • Honestly. I like them both. Preem do the jazz sample. Rza do the Samurai/ Kung fu flick samples. All that shit raw...

  • @BeatSmithEsco44 True that. It's actually pretty hard to compare them, cuz their styles are so different. Pete Rock would be a better level of comparison for Premo, and maybe someone like Muggs for RZA. All are excellent.

  • it's hard to say ....both them a legends in rap but i think Primo
