What we need is a lawyer to go after them with a civil suit, after your expenses are covered let the lawyer keep half of everything else with the other half going to some worthy charity.
This way you can't be accused of trying to profit from the law suit, the lawyer has an insentive to extract the max penalty and it will hit the creationist where it hurts them the most.

There's no reason to discuss creationism/ID in a science class, unless it is to demonstrate why it is NOT science.
On the other hand, schools should be welcome to discuss creationism in a world religion class, assuming all major religions are given equal consideration.
The best place is a social studies class, but that would probably be too hot, politically, for the schools.
Then we are no better than they are, don't censor them, prove them wrong publicly.

Public debate works, we shouldn't be afraid to use it to its fullest extent. That being said, school isn't a public forum for debate. Creationism should not make it into science classes. Can you imagine a student getting bad marks in a test for failing to copy-paste creationist arguments? The idea is absurd.

Whilst this may originally have been intended to offer a way for channel owners to prevent inappropriate or pornagraphic comment on their site it has become a way to muzzle any opposing viewpoint and give any visitor to the site the misleading impression that there are no conflicting views at all - a totally erroneous and dangerous thing.
On another note, DMCA implies guilty until proven innocent. This is not ideal way to protect freedom of speech and the protection on copyrighted material. As a software developer, laws should be focused on protecting the products so that someone else can not profit off your hard work. Ideas and reviews of the result should not be infringed.
Anyone can file a DMCA here on Youtube. Check out your home page and tool around a bit to find where this info is on coppyright infringment. Yes, what you say is true about music and movies and other coppyrighted material, but the use of the DMCA can be submitted by anyone for any video here on youtube and that vid will be removed. If those videos are not coppyrighted then you'll have a serious problem later. DON'T USE IT!!

Perhaps you should take your own advice. Most of the participants in this video have either hired lawyers to counter false filings or they are lawyers who have already won those cases. We didn't say it was all one group either. This endeavor was designed to dissuade "tons of people all over the net" that you're talking about. The names of specific culprits we were talking about in each case were listed, so there were no generalizations either.

What we need is a lawyer to go after them with a civil suit, after your expenses are covered let the lawyer keep half of everything else with the other half going to some worthy charity.
This way you can't be accused of trying to profit from the law suit, the lawyer has an insentive to extract the max penalty and it will hit the creationist where it hurts them the most.

It's a very natural emotion to want to see willful stupidity suppressed, but I don't think it would work well for several reasons.
It would give Creationism the mystic appeal of the forbidden fruit.
If pushed out of sight, it would be harder to refute and disprove its claims.
It would invite the public to consider us oppressors and associate science with censorship.

That said, I do agree that it's important to keep creationism in its place, especially when it comes to schools.
There's no reason to discuss creationism/ID in a science class, unless it is to demonstrate why it is NOT science.
On the other hand, schools should be welcome to discuss creationism in a world religion class, assuming all major religions are given equal consideration.
The best place is a social studies class, but that would probably be too hot, politically, for the schools.

In free debate the stronger opinion almost invariably succeeds in forums like youtube. Look at creationist videos, 2-3 stars. Thunderf00t... invariably 4-5 unless recently votebotted. Public debate works, we shouldn't be afraid to use it to its fullest extent. That being said, school isn't a public forum for debate. Creationism should not make it into science classes. Can you imagine a student getting bad marks in a test for failing to copy-paste creationist arguments? The idea is absurd.

On another note, DMCA implies guilty until proven innocent. This is not ideal way to protect freedom of speech and the protection on copyrighted material. Anyone can file a DMCA here on Youtube. Check out your home page and tool around a bit to find where this info is on coppyright infringment. Yes, what you say is true about music and movies and other coppyrighted material, but the use of the DMCA can be submitted by anyone for any video here on youtube and that vid will be removed. If those videos are not coppyrighted then you'll have a serious problem later. DON'T USE IT!!

We didn't say it was all one group either. This endeavor was designed to dissuade "tons of people all over the net" that you're talking about.
