dead-ass. i do muay thai. and it is proven to be one of the fighting styles that can make an argument with everyother fighting style. but karate by far is the worst. i mean the worst fighting style there is. it can kick ur ass yes. but if u ranked it, it would be last, but it still is a fighting style which means its effective in some ways. karate has one of the few good punching techniques.

However, in reality the same kind of punches and kicks are available in all arts (with small technique differences), e.g. elbows were also used in traditional karate and tkd. Unfortunately there are not official fights anymore on the traditional way since some of these arts try or already reached to be accepted in the Olympics....
