My little brother was 10 years old in 1964 and I remember my parents giving him one of these trucks for Christmas that year. All the little kids in the neighborhood were crazy about this truck after seeing it in t.v. commercials. My 10 year-old cousin also got one of these that same Christmas, but I don't remember them playing with them for very long. I think the novelty wore off when the batteries wore out. LOL!!!

You just totally made my husband's day! He got his Mark Big Job Dump Truck for Christmas in 1964 too!! We still have it, but it doesn't run. We'd love to get it going again. Any ideas?
Hello, I'm glad you enjoyed my video. It really was my favorite toy. As for getting it working, I would love to fix it for you but time is really tight these days. The other problem is the shipping costs. They usually run about $25. each way. If you live anywhere near Phoenix, maybe you can drop it off and I'll get it running for you. Joe
Bought a well played with Big Job at a Goodwill outlet. Missing grille but rest is there except for battery box door. Do you still have battery door and instruction sheet?
About 10 years ago, my friend, by accident, broke the batter cover. Would you happen to have a spare battery cover for sale from a junk Big Job? I've been looking for quite a while and not too many junk ones show up. I started looking about 6 months ago on Ebay.
I also noticed that at the end of your vid, you have a picture of you (I'm assuming) with a Johnny Seven One Man Army. I have one of those and I think I post it. There aren't any other ones on Youtube at the present time.
Sorry, No extra Battery Covers. That is the #1 Broken or missing item on this toy. I will eventually make a replacement battery cover. It won't be exact, but it will make the toy work. As for the Johnny 7, I have a couple of those too. I will be posting a video of the johnny 7 soon as well as the Marx Big Car Carrier. Classic Toys Rule!
this has got to be the most viewed and least commented video on youtube

Can you Give me an idea what cost would be?
donray45335 4 years ago
Wow, cool. I have one of these puppies too, but I'm shocked that you actual put gravel in it! That is a pretty mint example of a Big Job.

I have a few of these toys. The truck I used for the gravel scene is broken and the only thing it can do is dump. Thanks for watching.
