Hey grisped! I have watched a lot of your other videos, and I am in love with them! It makes my brain feel so good watching pure great poker and all the neat concepts in the game. I have been playing for about a year now, and I had a 1500 dollar bankroll that I recently lost in about a month. It really hurts, and I feel like the more I play, the more I lose. I play on Carbon Poker and my screen name is bmende. My email is bmende11@yahoo.com. If you email me I would respond instantly. Please!!!!!
Hello there! Have you read the amazon book How to Shake the Online Poker Money Tree ? I got some extraordinary advice from it and now can play like a pro and kick butt multi-tabling without nervousness.
Great advice awesome video, I'm a total fish and always slow play my sets and 2 pair, it's awesome to learn that it's not the most profitable way to play those hands!
I really like your videos. I'm interested in playing @ Tower. I played @ FullTilt and UB for years, almost exclusively in cash games. ( I might be the worst tournament player on Earth, lol. )
Following BF I tried a ton of different softwares and finally settled on 888. However your comments about Tower not supporting any kind of HUD has me really interested in playing there. I might just have to give it a try sometime soon.
Anywho, like I said, I really like your videos. They are well struct
@gripsed Hey Evan. I'm 15, and I've been playing poker for about 10 months on my iPod on this app called pokerist. I just found your channel, but I've already watched all of your videos-3 I'm thinking about starting to play online for real money, maybe next year after summer.
Do you have any suggestions for what stakes i should start at ? I'm thinking that i would like to start with a bankroll of about 2-4k. I already have the money (worked all summer)
@pinarout partygaming offers some really good quality products in Partypoker, PartyCasino and PartyBingo.
I feel that the player level there is tougher than cake and ongame but still softer than pokerstars. Based on my experience with the software, for multitabling party is very good for cascading, but pretty sloppy when it comes to tiling
also, having that breathing room of having say, twice the stack of most of the players at the table, to me is a nice feeling. i can THEN just sit back and let them beat the daylights out of eachother, knowing i'm golden until the later rounds, and can then go to war with that 25 or 30 bb stack. sorry to take up the whole page, but it helps me when i can reason things out on a site like this. best wishes....
to hold up anyway. so you can go from say, 1500 chips down to 1250 or whatever with a hand that was good going in, but didn't hold. so if that kind of thing might happen, why not mix it up a little bit with some cheap flops, with the chance of felting someone with a monster like trips on the flop? even if that scenario never happens early on, you're still only going to be down to about that same 1250 in chips, anyway, as long as you're careful and not chasing hands that don't hit on the flop.
i'm learning the game playing s&g's for the obvious reasons. so when i play like you're SUPPOSED to, basically mucking most hands in the early rounds and waiting for the push/fold rounds closer to the bubble, i sit there and watch SO MANY mucked hands make the nuts right on the flop. lol. so now i'm starting to try to see a lot of cheap flops with sub premium hands in the early levels. besides, oftentimes when you DO get a premium hand in the early rounds, it dosen't mean it's going...cont'd...
total cooler on that AK hand where the drooler found his J on turn to make 2 pair. that usually only happens to me if i just check with top pair and let the agro guy fire away. or if i just float the guy without re raising; which i never do anymore because big brother, the r.n.g; looks at that as a slowplay, and we all know the foe will find his card if you slowplay. but that didn't even qualify, here.
@waspSng the main thing is, yes i can definitely be raising out bluffs, but i really dont expect him to fire a second bullet at me once i c/c flop. i get more value than by betting tho because i think its extremely unlikely he will float me with such a short stack size.
there are donks from micro stakes to high stakes. It really depends on your game selection which ones you will run into.
remember even the 10th worst poker player can be a huge favorite if he plays in a game with the 9 worst
@waspSng I check the flop so that he can give me action with his entire range (pairs for value, FD for semi bluff, and random cards for pure bluff). I then check raise because i dont expect him to bluff at me twice when i c/c that flop and obviously have a hand with showdown value. My raise size is designed to induce him to shove over with flush draws, or random bluffs because it is such a tiltingly small amount and he wont want to fold to it. I shove turn b/c i expect he has a hand to call flop
great video man... keep up the good work. I'm glad you showed the video and showed that even pro's have bad runs... unlucky session... but thank you for posting.
I hope your poker community grows exponentially i really enjoy your analysis and strategy's.I don't know if you saw my discussion on Pokertube in the comments with Barry Greenstein asking him to call for a ban on all HUD tracker software.I know a few poker buddy's i'll send by for hits.Take care sir.
Is it to confuse mid pairs and stuff or get club draws in...?
What is your thought process behind that checkraise? You're lucky the guy is a complete laugh... Calling pre Q10o, betting pot after PFR checks to you, floating the checkraise on your potbet with Q high and backdoor clubdraw (with that particilar stacksize!?) than instacalling Q high club draw on the river to a 2/3 pot bet, with the previous action?! It's almost chipdumping ffs. I'm a LowStakes player, are they this bad on MidStakes?
@gripsed Question about the AA hand that starts at 02:30: You get heads up with a blockhead and check a save flop (866, two clubs) to him. He than pots in to you and you decide a small check-raise is the way to go. I don't understand that play. To me it's an extremely strong line and I doubt you would ever play air like that, or would you? I also doubt if your opponent would consider shoving with air over that reraise, so you raise all bluffs away.
@TomislavP1000 I think he was just reffering to Gripsed, since he lost money in that session. Let's just not speak about Nanonoko... Superman himself would bow down if he saw him. The kid probably has a photographic memory and is without a doubt a genius.
I respected you til you made awful decisions tilted and lost all your money

Poker is easy. Value bet fish and credibly represent hands against people that care what you have. Theory says to adapt and exploit...
It's that easy guys. ;)
So please if your new just play higher. The higher you play the more respect your raises get.
Trust me. Scouts Honour.

Another question: are there any risks of me losing my money is I live in Canada ? And what site should I start at?
If i ever win the teaching session, I'd like to wait before I start playing for money before I cash it in.
