Incorrect, WD40 works very similarly to Jig-a-Loo, My friend and I both own Zhanchis his is lubed with jig-a-loo and mine with WD40, the two are indistinguishable other than his is stickered and mine is the coloured plastic version.
i just went from vaseline to WD40 , and i have to say wd40 is actually not that bad it dries off easily on the cube , but i have to admit the smell is TERRIBLE!!!!
food grade silicone spray wont dissolve your cube like heavy duty will. But the best lube out there is Lubix, IMO. specially designed for rubiks cubes.
A Lubix DaYan Guhong will rape any cube, any day.
I used silicone with the little red straw thing and sprayed. It made it really loose and nice for almost a year, then now its getting stiffer. I'm going to do what you said, pop out an edge piece and see if that helps. Oh and ppl don't use vaseline it only works for about 1-2 months then the cube breaks.
@rprb1957 eventually their cores are literally going to tear them selves apart. it just like using wd-40 on skateboard bearings at first: Faster Later: It's the Devil.
@14greenboy14 i think thats just your cube? coz i have a very very good quality cube and i take very good care of it and i have dropped it heaps of times after using wd-40 silicone spray i just wanted an opinion if it was good as crc silicone spray
@kalorikalmo you sure about that im your vaseline for 5 months now its doesnt make your cube slower maybe you dont even know what vaseline so back off!
@CSmodder Firstable, you really do have to write every word! I mean: you don't even know vaseline so back off... WTF? And seriously, are you familiar with this thing called dot? And really, I do know what vaseline is. But I have not never lubed my cube with it. But it doesn't matter, becoyse i have used vaseline for other things. And last, you really should find some knowledge about this before arguing!
emm you said there is a differant method for jig a loo and silicone spray could you just like the jigaloo pop out 1 peice and spray or is it that it wont work that way
For the silicone spray, you could do it like the jig-a-loo way, i just put jig a loo in a different category because it shouldn't be disassembled, because it might pool around your cubies. So:
Silicone works both ways, Jig-A-Loo should be done by popping out a piece and spraying.
This is a good review but you shoud to a review to normal crc silicone spray or normal silicone spray to those who cant buy heavy duty or jig-a-loo ;)

Where do you get jig a loo. I can't find it at home depot. Please help I really don't want to spend a lot of money on lubix.

@cuberman611 Just get 50,000W Differential Oil from Traxxas. It's the EXACT same as Lubix, and I got 50cc for seven bucks.

@wrnl ummmm, you're putting the lubricant in a cube, you're not eating it and/or using it as sun screen, so I don't think it will give you cancer.

@rprb1957 wd40 will just slide out and bring all the good stuff with it so yes..

vaseline is worse than useless, it slows your cube down!
kalorikalmo 6 months ago
@kalorikalmo theres no such thing as "worse than useless" that would be useless you say..
CSmodder 6 months ago
@CSmodder If it's useless, it does nothing. But when it's worse than useless, it has negative influense! It maks rubik's cube slower
kalorikalmo 6 months ago
@kalorikalmo it makes your cube a little bit faster and thats not useless at all
CSmodder 6 months ago
@CSmodder Did you even read my comment? Yes, first it makes it little faster. But after few months, it becomes slow the cube down significantly!
