How does locking on to the door help?

For some reason, locking onto the door helps you get an extra amount of distance. If you don't lock onto the door, you can never quite make it to the platform with screw attack.

It might be related to L-jumping and dash jumping.

Really nice Log, though it does look like getting enough distance without the aerotrooper messing up is hard.
