Okay, so it's pretty obvious that they played the entire commercial on cheap instruments, hence the shoddy intonation, then they smashed them. All real, no cuts, very cool! I've seen a violin smashed live at the Walt Disney concert hall for this one piece; I'm sure they did the same.
