Raas Al Ghul is an arabic word...like they said, means demon's head..depending on the dialect of arabic used...they pronounce it as "Rayj al gool" which doesnt make sense...In "proper" arabic..."Raas" means head..."Al" means "the"...Ghul...well...demon/Gh­oul as they said..but its pronounced "Raas El Ghool" :) put that in since you were wondering if the movie or the game was right :P :P both wrong! neither "Raaz" or "Rayj" just FYI...love from the Mid-east! love your clips!

Ra's Al Ghul is an Arabic phrase (two words describing evil or someone who is bad) . Meaning: the monster or beast's head. It also can be used as: tip (as for mountain) instead of head.

Ra's = head or tip.

Al Ghul = monster or beast.

I don't really know why they picked this name for this character. I have played some Batman games before in addition to Arkham City, but I do not know every single detail about Batman and his story.
