I watched the Cooper Union Debate online and, as unfortunately expected, Mr. Gingrich's vision of honest, intellectual political discussion may never be realized. Mr. Gingrich spoke of Washington's problems and possible solutions. Mr. Cuomo ranted against President Bush and blamed ALL of our Country's problems on the past 6 years of a Republican Presidency. If Mr. Cuomo, a retired politician, not beholden to anyone, can not be intellectually honest, what Democrat spokesman will be?
I am an Iranian, I have been all over the world. I have seen socialist, Commonist, Islamist and capitalist. Newt's ideas are the key to make a nation Great!
He will have my vote also. It's about time a political candidate speak with common sense about what Americans view as important issues without all of this mud slinging.
I agree with this idea of having substantive discussions in our political universe. For far too long we have had nothing but slogans as political debates. I must also add that I strongly support Newt Gingrich for President.
We're looking forward to hearing Mr. Gingrich on the 28th. He is the most articulate, bright, decent politician in America and, undoubtedly, the most maligned! Hopefully more citizens will listen to what Mr. Gingrich actually says rather than what others, particularly the left-wing media types, say he said.
Newt sees himself as sep. from the slash and burn politics he participated in for many years. Interesting. Maybe he had a "epiphany," like Mitt did regarding abortion, that he's ready to engage in problem focused dialogue. Right....
"slash and burn" acording to whom? A radically disingenuous liberal, by any chance???? Go read something by the informed and honest, and not the socialists you are falling for.
wow. finally some common sense from a politician, and from one who helped to initiate "hate" campaigning in the 1990's. is newt beginning to understand what a mess he has made of american politics? lets hope so.
First off, I think that ANY Public Official who is Campigning for an Elected Office, other than an Incumbent who is campaigning to Keep their Office, must FIRST RESIGN THEIR OFFICE!!! We are paying them to Serve us in the Position we elected them too, not to be Prostituting themselves all over the Country, going to Dinners, Parties and Fund raising benefits.

I don't think Newt is currently serving in an "Elected Office". However I KNOW that the Hillary is...Talk about prostitution.

The Entire Political Election Campaign process has become such a Nonsensical event, wasting umpteen Millions of Dollars, and more importantly, Time.
