  • Hahaha 300 -325 degrees?? Dude, your a fuckin genius.

  • "if you run is leeeaaannn, it will FUCK YO SHIT UP SON!"

    should have just said that...

  • I have a rc car I built nearly 100% like 89 or 90% and i need feed back on my prototype drivetrain from someone knows their stuff! I still havent used it under full power capacity e mail me with a retun email so i can send a video of it currently as it is

  • is 250 a good temprature for a engine ??

  • ctrl w to skip the advertising

  • my car drives fine but then suddently it start loosing power stop going brooooooooooom but brom brom brom instead and the engine gets shut down help!

  • my car wont even start any tips or hint on how i get it started

  • @bigboipaddy u need 3 things air fuel and spark check all 3

  • thats gotta be a big block that engine is huge. How much do you want for it?

  • Good vid :)))

  • James May !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MrSubscribe10000 thats what i thought to

  • Very clear and to the point, thanks

  • nice vid

  • that was cool getting ready to break my Tornado and this is very helpful! thanks!

  • thank you!!!!!!

  • cool

  • Nitro car folks must have the patience of a saint. Tune? Needles, carbs, fuel ratios. No way. Im lazy. I turn on my electric and go. To each their own I guess.

  • mmm bluber

  • my truck wont run if i dont press the stater help me

  • 0:06 Two stroke means they get 25% of there cooling from the air? right... *stops video and makes comment*

  • Hello, Is there an kind of training car that I can get that doesnt use nitro?

  • @SSBlingsA7x yeah... get an electric car

  • hi im having some problems with my engine. im am tuning the high speed needle and im turing it clockwise but there is still alot of smoke coming out and it stalls after about 50 second. it can be to lean because there is alot of smoke coming out. so does anyone know what to do? plz reply.

  • @topkart121 Maybe to much oil in your fuel (2 stroke engine)

    Or a bad carborator

  • @topkart121 Also, ontop of possibly what TheMegitto said.. nitro rc engines will flood and or stall after about 30 sec of idle time.. so about every 15 seconds its good to give it a good rev.. maybe do a little run to bring the rpms up and bring it back to u to continue turning for a few more seconds

  • is there a button for factory default? LOL

    (Just Kidding)

  • @TheCrazy135 wish there was lol

  • Hi i've got a problem with my rc car i i am thinking if anyone can help me please....

I've got a HSP 1/10th scale nitro rc car with a .18vx engine i recently changed the engine head(it was from a same engine). Anyway when i tried to start it it was very dificult to pull the pull start(i also tried it without the fuel line but the same thing happened) and i was wondering if u could help me....

    Thanks in Advance!!!

  • team infinity .18 what's yours ?

  • i have the one were you put the thing in then you pressthe button

  • u old stupid man

  • k awsome i will be getting a new servo thanks

  • i just got the madstorm and when i try to turn steer it it makes this cracking sound help please

  • your servo's are shot...the cracking sound u hear is the plastic nylon gears grinding...GL

  • i just got the madstorm from exeed rc and i think i have a problem with the steering, when i turn it makes a cracking sound. does anybody no y its doing that?

  • OMG I LOVE THIS GUY SOUTH PARK m kay LOL

  • help

  • i want to find how to tune rc cars

    but

    without an engine

    my rc

    just rechargeble

    wiht four doble A battrey

i want to tune a rc car like that u show me a rc that engine build

    ....

    srry 4 bad english

  • Great Stuff!!!

  • great info 5 star!!

  • with the idle needle. which way is high and which way is low. and my ide needle is a screw sticking out of the front of my engine between the 2 other needles. should it be more in or more out because my car speeds off when i start it

  • i have a question for anyone who will answer it it that includes you expert village i need help. my nitro r car has been fine till today when i got it outside strted it up hit the gas and it went backwards!?!?! ine doesnt even have a reverse but yet it wont go forward please help!

  • have u had it in bits for maintainence?. all i can think of is that the engine was running backwards.

  • @Nickizdaboss your recoil starter somehow recoiled the wrong direction.

go Look up Squirrled RC here on youtube he provides WAY better Advice and help than this "Expert village"

What i can tell you is that you have to take off the recoil starter and see if needs to be recoiled in the right direction.

    Best of luck mate

  • sounds like to me the engine started up backwards somehow 2 stroke engines dond mind witch way they run or its just the pullstart or the stater motor witch dicktates witch way the engine is going to turn

  • @Nickizdaboss If you adjusted your diffs, doubled check to make sure they are in the correct direction. otherwise you might of started the engine backwards. EXAMPLE: placing your car backwards on a starter box, causing the fly wheel to rotate backwards and starting your engine backwards. This has happened many times with the semi truck too.

  • nice video

  • worked fine. but i took it out today and went to start it and the pull start felt really easy to pull. when i got it going the motor started bogging out at full throttle. what could be the problem...?.?.???

  • too lean

  • you need to richen it a little bit

     thats called a pinch test

  • my savage xl is Seriouly rich so it will last long

  • @TeamTraxxas37614 your name is irony to your Savage. HPI FTW!

  • yea but im im also a traxas fan

  • sounds like you dont really know what your talking about when it comes to tuning.. as if you read 1 too many manuals

  • 250-275 degrees is the sweet spot not 300-320 lmao this guy is a tool

  • LMAO!!! Are you actually saying you can run your motor at 300 without doing damage. Most motors want to be run at 250+/-.

  • What's your opinion on hobby pro make ?

  • there both based on the same idea however many diesels are 4 strokes well in cars and trucks at last but.. i will say that many do use glow plugs to help ignite the fuels o your right on the money comparing the two :d

  • u can change ur RC from battaries to fuel????

  • what a fucking retard, DUUUHHHHH 2 stroke means they get 25% of cooling from air, should call that shit ASSHOLE VILLAGE

  • This is a NITROMETHANE engine, which is a derivative of propane. The motors burn the nitro, caster oils and other lubes help lube and cool the engine. These are 2-stroke in the sense that they complete their cycle in 2 strokes. Please dont compare this with a dirtbike considering that they run on unleaded gasoline and oil mixed, has a spark plug ignite the mixture, and has reed valves, ect.......

  • "its a two stroke engine, and what that basically means is, that they get about 25% of there cooling form the air"....

-_- not really mate.... that isn't what a two stroke engine is at all. Pre-school village more like

  • And also they dont get the cooling from the oil in the fuel. Its the fuel itself that cools the engine.

But yea, there are watercooled 2 stroke engines, so that has nothing to do with what a 2 stroke engine is.

  • oil is what cools it... the oil in nitro fuel doesnt heat up... also if it was "just the fuel" that means the same thing u fucking retard.

  • No it doesnt mean the same thing. The fuel itself is methanol and nitro. The oil is an additive.

The oil does cool the engine somewhat but its the nitro that does the real job.

  • the "nitro" is fumulated, which means it cant cool anything!

  • And why wouldnt a fume be able to cool anything?

  • because its a heat source...

  • Well thats a rather dumb assumption. Thats like saying coolant in normal cars is a heatsource cause its a liquid which we all know is the hotter form of a material (hotter than solid form).

  • prove my point even more son

  • No it doesnt, cause the coolant still cooles the engine does it not? And im a girl so dont call me son.

  • then fuck off slut...

  • Obvious response when a man gets pwned by a girl.

  • pwned? when im right? lol gf

  • Well youre not. I should know Im a technician

  • lo... glow engines... are different to cars...

  • Yes because an RC engine cannot create enogh heat through compression to ignite the fuel.

It cant create enough suction to sustain its own demand of fuel, and it doesnt have a fuelpump. So it uses exhaust backpressure to press the fuel into the engine.

An RC engine is sort of a mix between a diesel engine and a 2 stroke gas engine.

  • WTF right from the start... i was saying that you fucked up by saying something wasnt when in matter of fact u said it urself that it did...

  • What did I say isnt and what did I say is? Im not following...

  • WOW bye

  • pwned... by a girl

  • lol, funny, because girls dont speak like that... GF

  • Well we do... obviously. Like girls have their own way to speak :P

I talk like that because I play mmorpg games alot. Not because of my sex :P

  • runescape? GF

  • world of warcraft actualy.

  • even worse.

  • exactly remove the fuel pressure line and eventually the engine will cut out diesel is almost the same way being made of kerosene it takes longer for it to burn however a diesel truck uses shear pressure of the piston moving up and down to ignite the fuel ::D so you are 90% right :d and i also play wow :D lvl 80 destro lock

  • No I am 100% right :P Otherwise tell me what Im wrong about

  • i was agreeing with you :d not arguing only diffrence between rc engines and diesel is they add the nitro into the mix to substitute the lack of ignition thus the more nitro say 30 to 40 % the engine will have more power yet will run hotter less nitro less power cooler temp so what users do is they lean um out at lower nitro percents but this only adds to the issue then they starve there engines , if the engines to cool it wont ignite to hot it will shut off

  • Well an RC engine can run without any nitro.

But as I said earlier a diesel engine doesnt have a carburator, but RC car engines does.

Real diesel engines dont use glowplugs to help ignite the fuel directly. It preheats the cylinderchambers so that the air gets hotter when compressed. Only really used in really cold weather nowadays.

Big trucks have preheating elements in the intake manifold instead of glowplugs.

  • exactly :D all the glow plug dose is aid once the glow plug ignites the fuel that's it and yup in whats say a ford 250 diesel truck its the piston and sleeve that detonate the air fuel mix :d

nice to find a girl on here who knows a thing or two about this lovely hobby :d

for the horde :d jk im a nerd but not that much of one :D

  • abd yes it can it runs funny but it can work there's a video on here of a gent running fia fuel in his car basically airplane fuel , he was all excited however the car runs like shit

  • it using compresssion to start thats why u have to wait to start my dad has a 350 king ranch FORD =)

  • I agree fuck these people

  • wow this is more like nitro engine fundamentals not really tuning..............lol and ur hair is so ugly

  • Very nice videos!! Precise and to the point!! Sorry to say the others authors Ive been watching will put ya to sleep..

  • to make more power shave the flywheel to make the flywheel lighter smaller and get more power, take an elbow pipe and aim the air filter out so when the rc is running it will get more power

  • Hi mate thanks good explanations, what the maximum & minimum temperatures for a 21 on road engine?

  • That's different for each engine. Just look it up in the manual.

  • Do you know what should I do to make my rc ( 28 engine) less noisy?

  • You can't. There are ''silent pipes'' for sale, but they are more of a gimmick. Get used to the sound or switch to brushless.

  • shame 2 stroke pfft.... they are LIKE 2 stroke motors

  • shall i just make a video of my problem?

  • yeah

  • i didnt understand that but before your engine dies does it bog?

  • this is the seventh comment ive seen from you and thats only on 1 video...

  • sorta it will bog down then after a while it will eventually die out

  • well then its probly to rich if it bogs down while your just idlin adjust your idle screw its right below the high speed needle if that doesnt work check your clutch if its broken get a new one

  • where to buy a rc car

  • all my fierstrom dose it run fine then bog then it will be fine then bog when i let off the gas

  • your idle is set to low

  • gjgynjhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • Hi I have a kyosho inferno mp7.5 sports 3 and when i run it for about 5 mins when i brake the engine turns off and smoke is coming out ot the engine and the engine eats up so many glow plugs ive had this car for 1 month and gone through 4 glow plugs

  • make sure your putting the copper gasket the comes with the glow plug on right check your heat sink to see if theres a crack in it (its the silver thing attached to the underside of the head) make sure your head and glow plug are on tight and check your head or the top of your crancase for cracks

  • Mine Cut's out when i put the brakes on, also if i accelerate to quick? please help. I don't really know know what needles t adjust

  • your to lean go counter clockwise on your low speed which is the one on the slide valve on the carb

  • with mine wen i go to accelerate it turns off or it takes long to take off

  • your running too rich , is there lots of smoke before it cuts out ?? and its it really boggy??

if so lean out the mixture by turning the high speed needle in an 1/8th of a turn each time

  • Comment removed

  • your low speeds to rich turn it clockwise 1/8 turn until you see a difference

  • your to rich on your low speed turn it clockwise 1/8 and try to take off do that until it gets better

  • That is a huge engine.

  • Thanks for the help man! Now I've tuned my hpi and it's running great and the idle is good now...

But I don't see a low speed needle in my car... Is that because my engine only has 1 speed/stroke? Thanks!

  • thanks for the info now go get a haircut.

  • Hah

  • i run diesel mixed with two stroke oil. man does it sound cool

  • lol

  • omg lol

  • 30-40 BUCKS

  • you fucking racist go suck a cock u bitch and jump in a lake alot of my friends are black and the odd one is jew so fuck off ok and stop being a prick

  • dude wow. hitler was a nutjob and do black people and jewish people really piss you off that much? im white and i can say there is deffinatly white people that are assholes too every race has thier ignorant douchebags

  • holy shit this is i think the fourth or fifth time ive seen one of your comments now

  • finaly i under stand what the needles are for.and what they are called.

  • how often do you have to tune your rc?

  • you should try and always tune it as it is better for your engine but if you drive it every day you should do it at LEAST once a week

  • oh k thx

  • i tune mine every time the weather changes a lot or every season

  • Thank you for the awesome video. Generous people like you, we "non-knowledge" people can learn for free. keep up the great work. A+++

  • how much wood it be to get my engine tuned for me ?????????

  • is that in toronto

  • hi just thought id help some people, i always tune the low end needle first and i use the pinch test,

basically if i was to pinch the needle and the car would die straight away i would know the low end would be LEAN, if it died after 5-6 seconds then it would be too RICH, if it died about 2-3 seconds then its right,

the high end is simple when the engine gets too its to the high reps it should run fine with smoke smoke but if it starts to stall its too lean. if rich then poor performance. :)

  • where can u buy a rc car

  • hoddy store

  • What he meant was, hobby store.

  • how to tune the low-speed needle? i didn't understand. can anyone tell me?

  • Sure, just watch the video again. :)

  • my spring is not broken but it was tight i have loosened it off now but however if its to loose it wont move my car at all when i rev it however to tight it just does the same thing i have yet to adjust further because i sanpped my pull starter however do you have anymore tips on getting the clutch correct

  • hey i have a hpi firestorm i am having a problem with it but i cannot get it to sit and idle i have adjust the idle screw and speed needle and idle trim on my controller but it doesnt idle sitting still the wheels just spin way to fast and when i try and stop them with my hands they just shut the engine off

  • i had a same problem how did u resolv it? i have a hpi savage x

  • your clutch spring might have broken, or the clutch shoes might have melted to the bell. replace the clutch and you should be fine

  • iDevil92 Is Correct.

  • can you mix ethabol with the fuel, for aggresivity?

  • Nooooo you wil screw up the engine lol instead use a more concentrated amount or nithromethane

  • can u use car gas on it

  • no premixed nitromethane fuel only

  • ok so i had to replace my hight speed and i dont really know where to set it, i know on cars its about 1 to 1.5 turns out from all the way in. is this right? plz help

  • i need to tune mine =/

    good luck to that happenin!

  • Can you tune the motor ( screw the neddles ) while the motor is running???

    plz help

  • yes, you can adjust the needles while the motor is running. however the 300-325F that the guy says is WAY WAY too hot. try to not get higher than about 250, depending on the engine. I generally try and run around 210-220.

  • hey dude does the rc manual tell you how to tune it and the other stuff

  • yes tune when its running.I do it and I get longer life out of my glow plugs and engines.I have a plug in my truck that I have not changed in over six months and my engine ran great but when I took it apart it looked great.

  • yea thats when ur supposed to do it

  • ok i don't know much about rc cars but i know a shit load about engines i repair helicopter motors for the army for a living and i know that adjusting a needle while using pre mixed fuel won't lean the ratio of gas to oil and 2 stroke has nothing to do with the cooling. it has to do with like one guy said how many strokes to ignite and exhuast the gas and the fact that the oil lubricating the engine is in the gas not running throught the engine like a dry sump or sitting in a pan like a wet sump

  • maybe on a big engine because the oil sits in its own pan underneath the pistons but an rc car engine is tiny so the heat has less metal to go into and the oil comes in through the fuel mix so if you run too lean the motor doesnt get enough oil to keep lubricated and the car overheats possibly even damaging it depending on how long you run it for

  • dude were talking about rc nitro engines a huge difference from a full scale helocopter go back to your dry sump pump chump.

  • 300-325?! WTF!?

  • yes man i have seen engines very hot they will not last for long but yea some engines reach tose themperatures and thats nothing my barbekue reches up to 400 farenheit

  • lol, get a big enough head and your cooking! (with nitro not gas!)

    lol

  • 2 stroke doesn't mean its air cooled, it means it take 2 strokes to ignite and exhaust the fuel

  • he dosn't say that, he says, how it keeps cool is...

  • "these motors are 2 stroke engines okay and all that really means is they give out 25 percent of their cooling from the air"

  • great vid

    ANY GUYS UP? Op
