Dripping water down terrorists' noses doesn't count as torture. Slowly dismembering a man does, which is what the jihadists have been doing to captured Americans.
Great job Joy Bahar~ I listen to Rush Limbaugh on occasions, but I do not agree with or believe anything that Rush talks about, Rush is an overpaid entertainer that throw stones while living in a glass house. Ann Coulter is a hater~
This is wildly entertaining. Joy is determined to try to provoke Ann while Ann just nonchalantly treats the interview as a joke and counteracts all of her attacks with ease. Joy is just a mental midget who only parrots what the liberal kooks say.
I listen to Rush Limbaugh and I don't agree with most of what he says. I think it's important for people to hear out those who have different point of views from them, not only to educate yourself, but so you can be sure of what you believe.
You SPIT on her??? Since when does spitting reflect our freedom of speech here in America? You liberals are the 1st to spit on people or throw things or boo then bitch because you lost your freedoms(!) when Bush was our leader. Then give everyone freedom of speech even if you disagree! You make me sick.
No, . . . we don't spit on people, . . .Chsloser is just that kind of oh, . . . a loser -- and fully lacking in capacity for second are third-party perspective by which he might be informed as to how others might view this, an innermost wish.
coulter destroys behar in this interview. joy clearly has no place interviewing such a powerhouse. even if you totally disagree with her opinions you have to admit ann put joy to shame.
I guess you're down with the conviction that liberals are perverted, child molesting freaks, acfan. Take that ball and run with it! There's nothing left to lose!
My own personal experience is completely different. In real life, it's usually us pinko, un-American, brown-skinned, elite, tree-hugging homos who do all the heavy lifting when it comes to the rights of women and children. Just sayin'...
Like in California where they're trying to give kids the right to never be spanked, or sue their own parents? Probably most people who vote Democrat or call themselves liberal don't even know these sorts of things are happening; it's mostly various activist lobbying groups and politicians I'm referring to when I say "liberals."
1. (used of opinions and actions) far beyond the norm
"extremist political views"
As long as tens of millions of Americans hold the same views as Rush Limbaugh, he cannot be considered an extremist, by definition, no matter how wrong you think he is.
Likewise, since a sizable percentage of Americans think it's acceptable to murder unborn babies, it can't be considered an extremist position, though I consider it extremely wrong.
On that note, Obama's demonstrated position on abortion could be accurately categorized as extremist, since while in the IL senate, he voted several times against a law to protect live infants from being left to die after a late term abortion fails to kill them, including the same bill that passed the US Senate unanimously.
I was just trying to be a little bit funny. Extreme generally compares to the average, and although I may agree with countless points Rush makes, he definitely is a little extreme. Having many listeners doesn't make someone dead down the center. Most numbers I've seen of Rush hover around 13 million listeners, which is close to what Howard Stern once drew (~12 million). I don't think anyone considers Howard right down the center cause he draws a big crowd.
Most of my beliefs do hover on the right side, although I don't really assign myself politically with a certain group. I'm just not exactly an Ann Coulter fan. Although she makes good points from time to time, she loses credibility other times.
I find Howard Stern to be a great example to counter the points Ann made about Rush. Granted, it's a menial point and it's not really a big deal. I find all 3 parties to be entertaining, personally.
This discussion is becoming redundant. The UNDENIABLE fact is Coulter accused liberals of exposing very young children to information about fisting, anal sex, etc. And you, acfan, are DEFENDING her by claiming it's ONLY hyperbole and saying she doesn't need to back up her accusations with real-life examples!
What Coulter did is akin to accusing an innocent person of child abuse for personal gain. For me at least, those kind of vicious tactics are reprehensible and, ultimately, indefensible.
I don't think it was an accusation; it was a joke meant to shock, taken out of context. I already gave you an example of liberals exposing children to talk of graphic sexual practices, with the support of the MA Department of Education. How 'bout the liberal ACLU legally defending the North American Man/Boy Love Association? How many examples do you need before you start to notice a trend?
There's a huge difference between teaching kindergartners about graphic, sexual practices and satisfying their natural curiosity about where babies come from with simple, honest answers! Do you think that schools should completely avoid any discussion of human reproduction because it's too controversial?
The CDC released a report in January showing that teenage pregnancy rates have been steadily increasing since 1996 FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 15 YEARS. It 's time for a more realistic approach...
Contrary to Obama's moral assertion, no kindergartner should be forced to learn about sex against their parents' will. In the UK sex ed for kindergartners is already mandatory, and I learned from news articles that some doctors there want to perform sex changes on young children. The same sort of mentality is here in some liberal groups, as demonstrated by the article about the transgender second grader in a Colorado public school.
Personally I think sex-ed should begin with the on-set of puberty or right before, but not in kindergarten when someone is only 5 years old, because by the time they would need to know the facts, they would have forgotten them
How 'bout you learn to use the verb "do" properly in a sentence before you start throwing around adult words like "circumscribed," and for the love of English, please stop trying to write poetry until you've taken a few minutes to study the art form. You do realize those are regurgitated liberal-extremist mantras and not to be taken seriously? Use the mind God gave you.
hey nut job, first of all its called a poem if you never heard of it, then you should get what I call an "education" see this is why republicans dominate in rural and red neck infested counties, while liberals dominate in developed urban and suburban areas.
Ooh, I've been chastened by one of the liberal intelligentsia; my ego may never recover. As penance for my insolence, I'll reiterate your literary masterpiece, so we can all benefit from your wit and wisdom again.
It's just a massive contradiction... From what Ann was saying when talking just about the stimulus bill, she sounded just like a Ron Paul-type of Republican rather than a neo-conservative type of Republican.
Not a contradiction; they are two different issues. Everyone agrees Bush is no fiscal conservative, and the national debt is growing at an alarming rate, but the cost of the Iraq war will look like small potatoes by the time Obama and his partners in crime are through with us. Ann has suggested she might support Ron Paul now that the war is more or less over.
I know that the stimulus bill will cost a lot more, but I find that irrelevant. The lesser of two evils is still evil, after all. Anti-war conservatives were pointing out what damage America's foreign policy was doing to the economy and Ann and those who had her views on FP didn't care. Now suddenly they care massively about national debt and inflation. To me, it's just a bit hypocritcal.
The war is seen as a national security issue and necessary evil. Going into it nobody foresaw how long and expensive it would end up being, but once there we had a job to finish. Ron Paul seemed a little too eager for us to withdraw immediately and watch Iraq collapse. As amazing as he is on domestic issues and with his dedication to the Constitution, it was that frustrating reason we couldn't bring ourselves to vote for Ron Paul. I would still take him in a heartbeat over Barry.
I agree with what Ann is saying about the stimulus bill (how it'll run up the debt, cause massive inflation, etc.) but what I don't understand with her and Republicans with her views is that the war in Iraq and all the other costs of keeping this empire running has cost (and is costing) the US TRILLIONS of dollars! And it's having the same effect on the economy as this stimulus bill will have...massive inflation from the actions of the Fed, huge national debt, etc.
Horse faced Ann Coutard again! This battle axe is a rampaging harridan who epitomizes the soullessness of the Republicans. She is such a selfish, callous and selfihs person, I think she's setting herself up for something really bad. What an evil woman.
As a gay man I'm "supposed" to hate Ann, & I did until she was spotted at a gay bar in West Hollywood hanging out with her gay friends. So I guess that proves that no one is all good or all bad. I don't think people disagree so much with what Ann says actually, they just don't like the way she says it.
I think her best friend is her gay hair dresser, actually. You're right, gays aren't supposed to be conservative. Similarly blacks are viciously attacked as traitors to their race if they don't vote Democrat. A little Ironic, I think, coming from the party of so-called tolerance.
I think they're are certain members of both parties who have made their respective parties look bad in the media. I consider myself a conservative democrat, because the republican party does have a few things i agree with
That's what makes Coulter so contemptible. Even SHE doesn't believe half the things she says!
But gullible Coulter fanatics do. She relies on dishonesty and vitriol to get attention. And in the process creates divisiveness and does a lot of damage.
Take, for instance, her crazy accusation in Godless that liberals forced kindergartners to learn about oral/anal sex and fisting at school. Completely untrue! Yet I shudder to think how many of her fans go around believing it to be gospel truth.
"On March 25, the Massachusetts Department of Education, the Governor's Commission for Gay and Lesbian Youth, and the Gay and Lesbian and Straight Education Network co-sponsored a statewide conference at Tufts University called "Teach Out." Teenagers and children as young as 12 were encouraged to come from around the state, and many were bussed in from their home districts. Homosexual activists came from across the country to take part in the conference."
"The May 2000 Massachusetts News described what took place at the workshops as "every parent's nightmare." The participants discussed oral sex, anal sex, vaginal sex, oral-vaginal sex, clitoral sex and a homosexual practice called 'fisting.'"
- "From sex ed. to porn ed," a column by Dr. Samuel L. Blumenfeld on WorldNetDaily.
And this, WoodyLittle, is the direct quote from "Godless":
"Liberals used to tell us they were teaching fisting to fourth-graders because "kids are going to have sex anyway!" (Yes, "fisting" is exactly what it sounds like; have a nice day!)"
"But in contrast to liberal preachiness about IQ, there would be no moralizing when it came to sex. Anal sex, oral sex, fisting, dental dams, "birthing games" -- all that would be foisted on unsuspecting children in order to protect kindergarteners from the scourge of AIDS."
And voluntarily attending a sex ed conference is a far cry from having lessons about fisting "foisted" on students as part of a mandatory curriculum. Your example is irrelevant.
So I picked the wrong quote. I wouldn't be surprised if there have been kindergartners exposed to those things for "education." It's not that farfetched. I do know I've read actual news articles about liberals forcing kindergartners to learn about sex in MA and CA. In one case children were told to imagine being gay. Heck, Alfred Kinsey, "father of the sexual revolution" and venerated figure by the Left, all but confessed in his book to molesting babies for "research."
So Coulter's accusations are true because you "wouldn't be surprised" if they weren't? What does that have to do with provable fact? This is exactly my point...Coulter encourages people to believe the worst about liberals and they willingly swallow and regurgitate her garbage, true or not.
This may come as a shock but conservatives don't have a monopoly on morality or decency. And if you really believe they do, your perspective is so sheltered and dogmatic, that honest debate is impossible.
Well they aren't untrue just because you say so. People calling her a liar are a dime a dozen. There's no assertion about mandatory curriculum in that quote, either. The kindergartners certainly don't get a choice in the matter. Public education itself is foisted on kids. I don't have Ann's footnotes handy so all I can do is cite general references to other examples. The big picture here as that children are having their innocence stolen from them.
Uh, if you're going to make crazy, outrageous accusations, it's YOUR job to produce the proof, not mine. Do the words "innocent until proven guilty" mean anything to you?
And public education is certainly NOT being foisted on children! No one is being forced to send their kids to public school. If you want your child to deny accepted science, pray at school, be politically indoctrinated or practice abstinence-only, teach them at home or go the private route.
That's why there are 30-50 pages of source-citing footnotes in the back of each her books. I didn't say it was foisted on parents; I said it was foisted on children, "unsuspecting children." In many cases the parents aren't even aware their young children are getting sex ed in school; it happens without warning. Parents who don't want their kids learning about sex when puberty is still years off have their tax dollars "invested" in the public school system too.
You're STILL saying young children are being taught sex ed at school without any documentation! Pony up or clam up!
Coulter's source for her claim that children were being taught adult sex ed was a NYT piece from Nov. 8, 1987 (odd that she cites them at all, considering her statement that Tim McVeigh should've bombed their building instead!) about classes offered to students at Dartmouth College. Ergo, she made the accusation without any proof at all. Not that it seems to bother you, acfan.
It was an intentionally hyperbolic statement meant to demonstrate a larger point--if you didn't notice, her books are full of them--not a specific reference to fact. It doesn't have a footnote. The NYT piece has a quote taken from it for its demonstration of the same point: Sex education has taken morality out of sex.
My little sister started sex ed at age 10.
For a good example of what millions of parents consider harmful indoctrination in schools, Google "Colorado transgender second grader."
Search for "Obama sex education" on Youtube. He said very plainly that sex education for kindergartners is "the right thing to do." There you have it, straight from the most powerful, most popular liberal's mouth.
I don't think anyone actually listens to what coulter says...they only have a mild awareness of some of the more controversial statements she's made, but beyond that no one can give you specifics on her views
I dont love Ann, Sorry acfan84 i gather your a fan i just dont get why she has to laugh all the time it seems arrogant. I dont want to disrespect your wall, or you so i'll leave it at that.
ann colter is a dumb ass. here is a thing for you ann, read before you talk. get the fracking facts, before talking about things that you don't know.bush(asshole) had a surplus when he got in office, this is why i don't watch anything she does just makes me mad
Ann beats the poop out of Joy, but then again Joy doesn't have all those other screeching harpies from the View to help her drown out anyone she disagrees with.
Outside of the fact that Ann is completely and utterly CLUELESS ie "chuckle We don't torture chuckle chuckle" despite reports/facts to the contrary, what amazes more is the amount of venom here in these posts by our "conservative' . Darn those libs and their gotcha "facts". My advise to the conservatives here is keep listening to Coulter, Rush, Hannity, Savage etc on the deck of the Titanic as it fades into oblivion. Enjoy the ride.
J.B. does not seem as confident without her 'gang' of libs trying to discredit Anns facts. It's a pleasure watching her embarrass. poor libtard Bayhar. I would LOVE to see Ann tear Poopie Goldberg a new ass as well. What a "joy" that would be!!
Joy Behar doesn't even have the sense to be embarrassed at her own lack of courtesy. We don't have to talk about the paucity of knowledge paraded arrogantly at full cry.
But she "feels" things so that always carried her through provided she's not challenged by actual thoughts. Good job, Ann.
Joy Behar is a dumbass, she's supposed to be there to interview Ann Coulter not herself. Second, Ann Coulter just likes to be provacative, don't debate her if you're a dumbass and you don't know what you're talking about.
I enjoy watching this dip Joy make an even bigger horse's patootie out of herself. She's no match for Coulter. Kept envisioning Andy Kaufman interviewing Sigmund Freud.
Ann, thanks for appearing on this show and keeping Behar in her place. It was obvious she would put words in your mouth and also try to trip you up by asking one question and then double- talk her way in to a different question you supposedley answered. She also said that she didn't think of Rush as Republican 'cause he is an extreme right winger. By her logic, then, I hope she doesn't see herself a Democrat, talk bout extreme.Bet she's one of those that fantasizes about Obama.
Joy Behar didn't even listen to Coulter's responses, didn't respond to her assumptions, and just came across as a raving lunatic. Just a reminder of why I don't watch "The View."
Ann Coulter does nothing to advance the dialogue between the Left and the Right in this country. Ann's main talent is that she is a skilled debater (e.g. she is a talented Sophist). Almost all of her points about "Liberals" and "Democrats" are a complete "Straw-man Argument," which the media loves b/c the "barking heads" boost ratings... Ann hasn't been seen since before the Ted Haggard scandal, the Sen. Mark Foley (R) scandal, and the Sen. Larry Craig (R) scandal. I wonder why?
She said on Good morning America a couple weeks ago that her purpose is to "gin up the troops." That she does. Said TV interview was one of dozens since the scandals you mention. She was on TV talking about them when they were news, but what do they have to do with anything?
Ann always portraying Republicans as the "white knights" in the politics is a FARCE. Mentioning those disgraced Republicans does 3 things: (1) Ann never responding publicly (that I saw) about those despicable Republicans leads me to believe she was hiding out; (2) mentioning them tarnishes Ann's credibility when saying things like "Liberals have no souls;" and (3) it highlights Ann's not once during the interview admitting ANY Republican wrongdoing - that should tell you something.
But she did talk about them on TV, several times. Democrats do worse things and stay in office; the disgraced Republican will resign every time. When did she say "Liberals have no souls"? I don't think she ever said anything like that. In this interview she attacked three Republicans. How many Democrats did Behar attack?
She didn't attack 3 Republicans, in fact, she wouldn't even admit that the were Republicans. Why is that? It's because 3 Republicans voting for the stimulus package might undermine her ideology that Republicans are always right - in effect - making her always right. Her use of language like this serves her argument better than saying "those Republicans were wrong," it confuses people but anyone with half a brain can see right through it. As I said before, she is a very talented Sophist.
You're really stretching it now. Even Behar got that joke. It wasn't a literal statement! Everybody who knows anything about politics knows who those three Republicans are, and if you watch the video I posted of her on Hannity 2 weeks ago, you'll see her refer to them as "traitorous Republicans." All this business about "sophistry" is slightly ironic.
Of course it wasn't directly literal, the statement was a rhetorical device Ann employed to defuse Joy's challenge to her Republican ideals, which would undermine Ann's thinking. Coulter's thinking: so they obviously aren't "Republicans" and let's just keep this line of thinking going to annoy my stupid interviewer because she doesn't know enough to prove me wrong... I'm sure all of this seems drawn out but I think it just comes naturally to Coulter who basically argues for a living.
Joy didn't have anything of substance to say, and began her question with the straw man that Republicans want to do nothing in response to the economic crisis. They are conservative ideals, not Republican. Most of us who vote for Republican want them to be conservative. Specter, Snowe, and Collins are all northeastern liberals who behave more like Democrats. Therefore conservatives call them Republicans in name only. If people are too obtuse to tell when Ann is joking, that's their problem.
i'm sorry, but coulter is NOT a walking encyclopedia. when she was in canada last year, she said we should have supported the US in Iraq like we did in Vietnam. she insisted Canada was in Vietnam (um, remember the draft dodgers coming up here?) even after being corrected by the interviewer. if a political commentator doesn't know that, i have no respect for them, liberal or conservative.
"On the February 18, 2005 edition of Washington Journal, Coulter justified her statement by referring to the thousands of Canadians who served in the American armed forces during the Vietnam era, either because they volunteered or because they were living in the USA during the war years and got drafted. (Between 5,000 and 20,000 Canadians fought in Vietnam itself, including approximately 80 who were killed.)."
Even encyclopedias contain errors from time to time. The fact is Ann's books are some of the most well-researched political tomes out there. Have you ever looked in the back of one? The footnotes section is vast. Moreover, don't you think it's of noteworthy that she hasn't suffered a single libel lawsuit, considering the huge number of liberals she attacks? It's because the facts she cites are true.
Mrhotsax: perhaps, I wouldn't have use the same phraseology but so much of what u say is TRUE...don't mean to be mean-spirited....but I am so over her!
Dude, it's already lost. Obama is trying to get back on track. I know Americans have short attention spans but Bush was not good. And a lot of Republicans agree with that.
anonywho: Well, of course I care about the economy, but safety first..........We were never attacked again...how quickly ppl who wore flag pins ( for awhile) forgot!
DEMOCRAT OR REPUBLICAN, IT DOESN'T MATTER...his decisions kept us safe.....history will show that... I pray for President Obama and may God bless America
except for that one decision he made on Aug 6, 2001 when he decided to not heed the PDB about "possibility of terrorists using airliners for an attack" Woopsie
IncognitoQC : Question? Have you read one of her books, if so, did u do further research.....she is a wealth of information, whether one likes her looks or not...she is a blonde with an amazing intellect and is in DEMAND...enough said
Ann didn't set the tone of this interview. Behar was just itching for a confrontation and acting like a whiny accuser. This wasn't a non-partisan interview, It was a typical liberal.trap to embarrass a guest. It didn't work. Coulter beat her to a pulp.
Ty for posting and the ppl that commented, I agree with most of them....I did a vlog before the interview...I will be doing my 3rd vid on culter...I invite u and your viewers to watch....behar was a former teacher but culter is a walking encyclopedia and no one can match her in a debate....she is knowledgeable, well prepared at all times.... I love when she said "I am popular".....and "they do not hate me"...it was truly my pre-oscar special....5* and favorited...I invite you all as friends!
Really? I don't agree with that, I thought Joy had a good understanding about the topics and I didn't see her fumble. Joy was perfect to debase Coulter's non-sensical arguments because she is real, reasonable and level-headed. Moreover, Ann seems to think she is a comedian and I think since Joy is a seasoned comedian, it didn't let Ann get comfortable.
As a liberal Democrat (whatever), I have to say that Behar makes me cringe. She does no homework, she doesn't make any kind of a case for herself. Her political performances are no service to her cause whatsoever.
Ptrgamb: as a mod-conservative, I like your comment...I don't hate liberals...a very slick and true comment....bravo...she makes liberals look so BAD!!!!
Behar just tries to be female democratic version of bill o'reilly with slightly more than average non-politician scale knowledge and less than decent high school student logic level... not that i'm a big fan of bill o'reilly, i'm just talkin about behar's, what appears to be her wanna be style.
seannieboie: I agree!.....she can never stand up to o'reilly even though she was a teacher at one time...I have great respect for GOOD teachers....it is a good thing she became a comic...and that is what she is...she should stick to comedy....she has to rely upon her notes...Culter uses NONE!
That vicious, non stop attack is what passes for an interview now days?
It isn't surprising that Behar supports the democrat effort to shut down AM talk radio, AM radio is where people from the opposition to Behar's political party have a voice.
braddy33: yes, I agree.....from a journalistic backround...I am appalled...whether it is onscreen or on paper.....the opposition must be heard....one must weigh out their decisions and views....I don't want to drink KOOL AID
this is a perfect example of the joy we hear and see on the view..pushes her opinions as facts down anyones throat who doesn't see things her way, no matter how rediculous and uneducated her 'view's are! she has just made ann coulter even more popular ;) thank you joy!
flinx649....interesting analogy.....I'm not a hater.....but the view's table continues to be lop-sided...I am surprise that Miss Walters has allowed this....what a legacy....the book the will follow "AUDITION"....by another author should be verrrrrrrry interesting
Ann is pretty intolerant and a bit of a wack job but she's smart and knows her stuff. Joy was definitely not helping herself or her case here... she came off just as crazy... from the other side.
she owned joy! Joy got her ass handed to her! give em hell, Ann

Extremist: adjective

What Coulter did is akin to accusing an innocent person of child abuse for personal gain. For me at least, those kind of vicious tactics are reprehensible and, ultimately, indefensible.
WoodyLittle 2 years ago
I don't think it was an accusation; it was a joke meant to shock, taken out of context. I already gave you an example of liberals exposing children to talk of graphic sexual practices, with the support of the MA Department of Education. How 'bout the liberal ACLU legally defending the North American Man/Boy Love Association? How many examples do you need before you start to notice a trend?
acfan84 2 years ago
There's a huge difference between teaching kindergartners about graphic, sexual practices and satisfying their natural curiosity about where babies come from with simple, honest answers! Do you think that schools should completely avoid any discussion of human reproduction because it's too controversial?
The CDC released a report in January showing that teenage pregnancy rates have been steadily increasing since 1996 FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 15 YEARS. It 's time for a more realistic approach...
WoodyLittle 2 years ago
Contrary to Obama's moral assertion, no kindergartner should be forced to learn about sex against their parents' will. In the UK sex ed for kindergartners is already mandatory, and I learned from news articles that some doctors there want to perform sex changes on young children. The same sort of mentality is here in some liberal groups, as demonstrated by the article about the transgender second grader in a Colorado public school.
acfan84 2 years ago
Personally I think sex-ed should begin with the on-set of puberty or right before, but not in kindergarten when someone is only 5 years old, because by the time they would need to know the facts, they would have forgotten them

It's just a massive contradiction... From what Ann was saying when talking just about the stimulus bill, she sounded just like a Ron Paul-type of Republican rather than a neo-conservative type of Republican.
themonkeywrench 2 years ago
Not a contradiction; they are two different issues. Everyone agrees Bush is no fiscal conservative, and the national debt is growing at an alarming rate, but the cost of the Iraq war will look like small potatoes by the time Obama and his partners in crime are through with us. Ann has suggested she might support Ron Paul now that the war is more or less over.
acfan84 2 years ago
I know that the stimulus bill will cost a lot more, but I find that irrelevant. The lesser of two evils is still evil, after all. Anti-war conservatives were pointing out what damage America's foreign policy was doing to the economy and Ann and those who had her views on FP didn't care. Now suddenly they care massively about national debt and inflation. To me, it's just a bit hypocritcal.
themonkeywrench 2 years ago
The war is seen as a national security issue and necessary evil. Going into it nobody foresaw how long and expensive it would end up being, but once there we had a job to finish. Ron Paul seemed a little too eager for us to withdraw immediately and watch Iraq collapse. As amazing as he is on domestic issues and with his dedication to the Constitution, it was that frustrating reason we couldn't bring ourselves to vote for Ron Paul. I would still take him in a heartbeat over Barry.
acfan84 2 years ago
I agree with what Ann is saying about the stimulus bill (how it'll run up the debt, cause massive inflation, etc.) but what I don't understand with her and Republicans with her views is that the war in Iraq and all the other costs of keeping this empire running has cost (and is costing) the US TRILLIONS of dollars! And it's having the same effect on the economy as this stimulus bill will have...massive inflation from the actions of the Fed, huge national debt, etc.

I think her best friend is her gay hair dresser, actually. You're right, gays aren't supposed to be conservative. Similarly blacks are viciously attacked as traitors to their race if they don't vote Democrat. A little Ironic, I think, coming from the party of so-called tolerance.

WoodyLittle 2 years ago
"On March 25, the Massachusetts Department of Education, the Governor's Commission for Gay and Lesbian Youth, and the Gay and Lesbian and Straight Education Network co-sponsored a statewide conference at Tufts University called "Teach Out." Teenagers and children as young as 12 were encouraged to come from around the state, and many were bussed in from their home districts. Homosexual activists came from across the country to take part in the conference."
acfan84 2 years ago
"The May 2000 Massachusetts News described what took place at the workshops as "every parent's nightmare." The participants discussed oral sex, anal sex, vaginal sex, oral-vaginal sex, clitoral sex and a homosexual practice called 'fisting.'"
- "From sex ed. to porn ed," a column by Dr. Samuel L. Blumenfeld on WorldNetDaily.
acfan84 2 years ago
And this, WoodyLittle, is the direct quote from "Godless":
"Liberals used to tell us they were teaching fisting to fourth-graders because "kids are going to have sex anyway!" (Yes, "fisting" is exactly what it sounds like; have a nice day!)"
acfan84 2 years ago
Here's the quote I'm referencing, acfan:
"But in contrast to liberal preachiness about IQ, there would be no moralizing when it came to sex. Anal sex, oral sex, fisting, dental dams, "birthing games" -- all that would be foisted on unsuspecting children in order to protect kindergarteners from the scourge of AIDS."
And voluntarily attending a sex ed conference is a far cry from having lessons about fisting "foisted" on students as part of a mandatory curriculum. Your example is irrelevant.
WoodyLittle 2 years ago
So I picked the wrong quote. I wouldn't be surprised if there have been kindergartners exposed to those things for "education." It's not that farfetched. I do know I've read actual news articles about liberals forcing kindergartners to learn about sex in MA and CA. In one case children were told to imagine being gay. Heck, Alfred Kinsey, "father of the sexual revolution" and venerated figure by the Left, all but confessed in his book to molesting babies for "research."
acfan84 2 years ago
So Coulter's accusations are true because you "wouldn't be surprised" if they weren't? What does that have to do with provable fact? This is exactly my point...Coulter encourages people to believe the worst about liberals and they willingly swallow and regurgitate her garbage, true or not.
This may come as a shock but conservatives don't have a monopoly on morality or decency. And if you really believe they do, your perspective is so sheltered and dogmatic, that honest debate is impossible.
WoodyLittle 2 years ago
Well they aren't untrue just because you say so. People calling her a liar are a dime a dozen. There's no assertion about mandatory curriculum in that quote, either. The kindergartners certainly don't get a choice in the matter. Public education itself is foisted on kids. I don't have Ann's footnotes handy so all I can do is cite general references to other examples. The big picture here as that children are having their innocence stolen from them.
acfan84 2 years ago
Uh, if you're going to make crazy, outrageous accusations, it's YOUR job to produce the proof, not mine. Do the words "innocent until proven guilty" mean anything to you?
And public education is certainly NOT being foisted on children! No one is being forced to send their kids to public school. If you want your child to deny accepted science, pray at school, be politically indoctrinated or practice abstinence-only, teach them at home or go the private route.
WoodyLittle 2 years ago
That's why there are 30-50 pages of source-citing footnotes in the back of each her books. I didn't say it was foisted on parents; I said it was foisted on children, "unsuspecting children." In many cases the parents aren't even aware their young children are getting sex ed in school; it happens without warning. Parents who don't want their kids learning about sex when puberty is still years off have their tax dollars "invested" in the public school system too.
acfan84 2 years ago
You're STILL saying young children are being taught sex ed at school without any documentation! Pony up or clam up!
Coulter's source for her claim that children were being taught adult sex ed was a NYT piece from Nov. 8, 1987 (odd that she cites them at all, considering her statement that Tim McVeigh should've bombed their building instead!) about classes offered to students at Dartmouth College. Ergo, she made the accusation without any proof at all. Not that it seems to bother you, acfan.
WoodyLittle 2 years ago
It was an intentionally hyperbolic statement meant to demonstrate a larger point--if you didn't notice, her books are full of them--not a specific reference to fact. It doesn't have a footnote. The NYT piece has a quote taken from it for its demonstration of the same point: Sex education has taken morality out of sex.
My little sister started sex ed at age 10.
For a good example of what millions of parents consider harmful indoctrination in schools, Google "Colorado transgender second grader."
acfan84 2 years ago
Search for "Obama sex education" on Youtube. He said very plainly that sex education for kindergartners is "the right thing to do." There you have it, straight from the most powerful, most popular liberal's mouth.

RON PAUL!
belloOo 2 years ago
Ann Coulter does nothing to advance the dialogue between the Left and the Right in this country. Ann's main talent is that she is a skilled debater (e.g. she is a talented Sophist). Almost all of her points about "Liberals" and "Democrats" are a complete "Straw-man Argument," which the media loves b/c the "barking heads" boost ratings... Ann hasn't been seen since before the Ted Haggard scandal, the Sen. Mark Foley (R) scandal, and the Sen. Larry Craig (R) scandal. I wonder why?
batbotaka 2 years ago
She said on Good morning America a couple weeks ago that her purpose is to "gin up the troops." That she does. Said TV interview was one of dozens since the scandals you mention. She was on TV talking about them when they were news, but what do they have to do with anything?
acfan84 2 years ago
Ann always portraying Republicans as the "white knights" in the politics is a FARCE. Mentioning those disgraced Republicans does 3 things: (1) Ann never responding publicly (that I saw) about those despicable Republicans leads me to believe she was hiding out; (2) mentioning them tarnishes Ann's credibility when saying things like "Liberals have no souls;" and (3) it highlights Ann's not once during the interview admitting ANY Republican wrongdoing - that should tell you something.
batbotaka 2 years ago
But she did talk about them on TV, several times. Democrats do worse things and stay in office; the disgraced Republican will resign every time. When did she say "Liberals have no souls"? I don't think she ever said anything like that. In this interview she attacked three Republicans. How many Democrats did Behar attack?
acfan84 2 years ago
She didn't attack 3 Republicans, in fact, she wouldn't even admit that the were Republicans. Why is that? It's because 3 Republicans voting for the stimulus package might undermine her ideology that Republicans are always right - in effect - making her always right. Her use of language like this serves her argument better than saying "those Republicans were wrong," it confuses people but anyone with half a brain can see right through it. As I said before, she is a very talented Sophist.
batbotaka 2 years ago
You're really stretching it now. Even Behar got that joke. It wasn't a literal statement! Everybody who knows anything about politics knows who those three Republicans are, and if you watch the video I posted of her on Hannity 2 weeks ago, you'll see her refer to them as "traitorous Republicans." All this business about "sophistry" is slightly ironic.
acfan84 2 years ago
Of course it wasn't directly literal, the statement was a rhetorical device Ann employed to defuse Joy's challenge to her Republican ideals, which would undermine Ann's thinking. Coulter's thinking: so they obviously aren't "Republicans" and let's just keep this line of thinking going to annoy my stupid interviewer because she doesn't know enough to prove me wrong... I'm sure all of this seems drawn out but I think it just comes naturally to Coulter who basically argues for a living.
batbotaka 2 years ago
Joy didn't have anything of substance to say, and began her question with the straw man that Republicans want to do nothing in response to the economic crisis. They are conservative ideals, not Republican. Most of us who vote for Republican want them to be conservative. Specter, Snowe, and Collins are all northeastern liberals who behave more like Democrats. Therefore conservatives call them Republicans in name only. If people are too obtuse to tell when Ann is joking, that's their problem.

MizGMizG 2 years ago
No, that was 4-5 years ago.
