  • Looks like a really young horse.

  • @KALECO773 Roughly 6 years.

  • because of the economy and my other beliefs i raised my girls to know how to work hard have natural fun and put college before boys and all three are doing wonderfully but sometimes I think I protected them too much I kept them in private school during high school

  • @JuneMarieRawFood That's not protecting them too much. In fact, you still have to watch what's going on even in private schools (as I'm sure you're aware), but it sounds like they have been in a very fine learning environment : )

  • @actionadventures yes I do realize that and It was a wonderful school

  • @JuneMarieRawFood thats probably one of the smartest things I've ever heard and should have done that with my sister

  • have a great day I wish I lived on a ranch I really love horses

  • @JuneMarieRawFood Wishes sometimes come true, especially when you have Jeannie close at hand--as you do ; )

  • @actionadventures I can only dream as my hubby is happy where we are at plus college is costly but am making sure my girls go for sure

  • @JuneMarieRawFood We have found that every home location is good in its own way. Speaking of college, our 1st daughter will graduate this year, so we definitely know about costs and good for you that you have your goals set in the right direction for your girls.

  • hello

  • @JuneMarieRawFood hello back ; )

  • Thanks for posting, just brilliant! Thumbs up!

  • @2000ViewsPlease You are very cool and among my Best YouTube Friends. Thank you!

  • its a pritty horse i love to horse back rid i have so much fun when i do it

  • This wonderful video makes me want to get out riding again Linc!! It's been far too long! Thanks for sharing my friend!

  • @CaStormChaser Thank you, Sean, for the cool comment.

  • what if your horse thinks you are trying to turn her everytime you try to bend her? am i doing something wrong?

  • @horsefreak0 Actually the horse Does turn in the bending process, you might even do a 360 degree turn before you release pressure. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're saying, I think it's fine. Be sure to do it in each direction.

  • @horsefreak0 Also, be sure your hand is sliding far down on the rein, then bringing that same hand to your thigh.

  • @actionadventures thank you!

  • @horsefreak0 You're very welcome.

  • Great man...great adventure

  • @khalistian Thank you very much!

  • What a sweet horse!

He seems to have an excellent feel for riding. That mare is going to be somebody's EXCELLENT mount someday. Calf roping, maybe? She could carry somebody far in low-level hunters, too...or as a jumper!

  • @someofusarebrave Thank you for the excellent comment. Lincoln

  • @actionadventures I cannot over-estimate how very welcome you are. It is rare in any of the horse mini-worlds to find somebody with the feel for horses and the compassion for them that you seem to have. I wish you the best of luck on all of your endevors.

  • @someofusarebrave I greatly appreciate the way you constructed those words and sentences so beautifully. Thank you. Lincoln

  • @actionadventures Thanks. If you ever need anybody to write a press release or anything of the like for you, just say the word- -I am trying to get my work published right now, actually, so your compliment is all the more appreciated---and very timely. Thank you-

  • @someofusarebrave I would indeed appreciate a press release. Go ahead and write it to your heart's content. I trust your creativity and ability. I always give credit where credit is do. Thanks in advance. El Linco ; )

  • Hi! Your video is very interesting. Great work. Thank you.

  • Nice! Thank you very much for Sharing!!!!!

  • Great stuff m8 :)

  • Thank you. You're very kind. Have a beautiful time!)))

  • Great Video and advice and information !!! Isn't softening a horse more or less getting it to relax from a tense state? Just reminds me of handling snakes somewhat. They are tense until they are used to being handled and then they lose the stress and defensive behavior and mellow out. Just seemed the two have similar responses being animals of nature :O)

  • @1softkiss That comparison totally works for Me. I didn't know that about snakes but that helps confirm that it is likely true with all animals--they're tense among humans unless and until they're handled with care. Great comment.

  • @actionadventures Thank you ;O) It's ALL about reading animals body language and people that never take the time to learn to will never properly bond with any animal :O)

  • @1softkiss Speaking of that, I totally understand cats and dogs--how to approach, pet, play, you name it. I don't care what kind or what mood and there are absolute dos and don'ts--which most people are mostly clueless about. I have a feeling you know what I'm talking about. (Some vicious dogs are unapproachable, at least, initially). Have a good day!

  • Great Video...thank-you so much for sharing! Btw, beautiful horse too!

  • @iluvjry1 Thank you and thank you for the vote of confidence.

  • @thedelih Thank you!

  • Dumb question alert Linc, but how much can an adult horse carry on its back?

  • @izaurralde 15-20% of the horse's body weight is generally fine. Beyond that, the horse gets exponentially more tired and stressed out. Great question! Lincoln

  • Great video!!!

    *.*:)

  • @DREDD2001AD Thank you very much : )

  • Hi Linc, thanks for sharing these ''tips'' on Horsemanship. While I am no expert on training horses, I found that the horses that I had at one time responded well to kindness. Two of them had never been riden before, so I made friends with them first and when I finely got on, they never tried to buck or act up. I have found that keeping calm and quiet also works well when training Dogs and dealing with kids. Have a nice weekend.

    Doug.

  • @spiritwolfbro Thank you for your Very finely-written comment. Greatly appreciated. Lincoln
