Hi guys, my view is whatever the camera you got, the real matter is what do you do with and ho do you use it. personnally I still got my Nikon D70 with only 6 megapixels and I'm still making photos which are reasonable and two other compact digital cameras for regulat use. LOL Speed camera never have anything to do with Pixel, infact 16.2mp on the D4 is better because it will have better iso performance which is more important for the users of this kind of Camera.

FPS is only as good as the buffer, Nikon D4 has 200 FRames buffer on Jpeg and 100 Frames on RAW, as for the Canon buffer size is not know, but it is said at 14fps it only last 4 seconds which is only 56 Frames compare to Nikon 200frame.

And 14fps is only Jpeg n Mirror lock!SO ONLY 12FPS!

When will people realise that both canon and nikon are very good.Both canon and nikon have great features, that the other one does not have. Canon is great in video, but nikon performs better in higher ISO's. Usualy when people are choosing their first DSLR they go eather with the one that feels more comfortable for them or with one that a pro recomended to them. And since you stay with the brand that you first started with, pro's aren't that good in helping your decision.

Get magic lantern for a Canon and you will be able to change ISO in tens. For example you could have 110 or 190 instead of only having the option of 100, 200 and so on.

It also makes tons of other upgrades to your camera, but mostly in video mode.

Dang, why are all of these people saying which BRAND is better? It shouldn't matter the brand, but the product. I personally have a D3000 and I love it, but I wouldn't mind a Canon either. Canon and Nikon obviously have their differences, and they are better than each other in different ways. You just have to find the camera that's right for you and not segregate because of brand.

nikon and canon both have their good deal. nikon have beastly D3s, canon have low cost high performance 5dmk2. nikon have more contrast and saturation, canon have more neutral original color. depends on what you need. I love nikon 14-24. I love canon 85mm 1.2 too. None of them is the best. So, don't make your judgement because you are using either of them. For me, if I have to choose my favorite brand, I will choose leica...

The Nikon has another cool "trick" up its sleeve. Interval mode. It's quite neat, as no extra kit is required to do time-lapse photos.

The process is straight-forward. Before starting interval setup the camera (and each mode still does things differently, full manual is probably the most consistent across shots.) Then use interval to set up the time between shots, set the number of shots, set the starting time... And if it's in a fairly tamperproof location, you can leave it to do it's thing.

Canon gives you HUGE number of MP for example rebel T2i is 18mp 50D is 15MP

Nikon GIves you reasonable MP for example 12.3 MP D5000 and D90.

Dont forget this tip Number of MP doesnt make your picture quality BETTER !!!

10mp camera take better pictures then 25 MP camera thats possible..

Bigger Pixel size makes your pictures much sharper ..

So Its why D90 Takes better pictures then D50 and rebel T2i :)

And I'm pretty sure that there's almost no difference between D90 and 50D, the major diference is in the lens used.
