For those that don't like Jamie's performing style: Whilest I don't think love of music is a crime, at least give him credit for the amazing things he does with the piano.

For those that don't like Jamie's covers or playing: You're welcome to your opinion, but again give him credit for being a genius, and you must at least enjoy the way he gets into the music.

I'm a big fan of Jamie, and I usually love his cover tunes. However, this is not one of his best performances. The groove is awesome, but the overall performance sounds under-rehearsed. His key arrangement and transition to the chorus is awkward, and he definitely goofs the lyrics in verse 2 (though he keeps going, and recovers pretty well). I'd love to hear this again after he's run through one or two more times....

I think Jamie is a very talented pianist, and I really like a few of his songs, but his musicianship is over-glorified among his fans. His hyperactive approach might appeal to some but I find it mentally assaulting. I loved his cover of Don't Stop the Music but his other covers and 'tributes' are lacking in sparkle and elegance. I think he would be considered great if he understood how to make truly appealing/uplifting music. That's something you don't get from music theory.
