  • I have a serious interest in learning sanskrit. Would you recommend me some source? I am well familiar with esoteric tradition, actually I know meanings of several hundreds of words in connection with certain contexts that I came across, but now I need continuity and ability to read devnagari and write... Can you help?

  • thank you for this beautiful lesson, i really love sanscrit and your teaching is really clear, mary keating, Ai Kansha cat sanctuary in Ireland

  • Watch Kymatica by Ben Stewart, so u will understand maanuShyaka

  • Sanskrit is madrasi-sutra.

  • @akhilesh890 You idiot how are you so sure that he has done all of it. Search Google for "CIA Had Plan To Depict Saddam As Gay With Fake Video Of Him Having Sex With Young Boy" You wee see that CIA had the technology to make "fake videos" The also can make it look like its a from a hidden camera(Just like CWG scandal by Australian reporter).

The scandal is a conspiracy because, the court had ruled that Nithyananda will be released but he cannot give sermons!! Was Shakti Kapoor banned from acting

  • @akhilesh890 Was Shakthi Kapoor or Amaan verma banned from Acting after their "casting couch" scandal??

Are Bishops and priests who are caught in pedophila scandals banned from Preaching by Indian Judicial system??

Then why was Nithyananda Swami Banned from preaching after his scandal and released only that grounds that he will not make any public sermons. Think about it.

Ethically or morally a swami is not supposed to indulge in sexual acts, but no swami is "Legally Bound" by any law.

  • horny nithyanand

    hehehe horny baba

  • its.. called earth song by MJ.

  • catapults suck

  • if ur attention is not in the lord what good are u anyway ? ur corrupted the very moment u are out of that dhyana. isn't it ?

  • this land wasnt as polulated as it is today.

earlier it was forests. and only sanyasis lived because only they could live there.

sages created these two languages. mostly people who used to be together.

it is said that sanskrit and tamil were sounds that came out from the two sides of shivas mridangam. because of constant invasions from the north people moved to south. why this fight ?

who is superior to who ? who and what makes u superior to anyone else ?

  • Do you know?

    Still,many things are there.

simply, hearing your foolish Tamil Politicians words, dont comment anywhere.instead, try sincerely improve your knowledge with open mind by studying elaborately.

  • Those very difficult verses in Tamil like Kurinchi Thinai and Very diffcult and very Chaste Tamil writer Kapila and Parimel Azhagar respectively were Brahmans and masters in Sanskrit.

  • Is it?

  • so there was no one to write those Tamil

    Grammar among your Pachai Tamils.

  • Again,Tamil Grammar was written by a person who had come from North,

  • So Agastya written those Tamil Grammar on the basis of the indira school of grammar which is Sanskrit based

    "Indiram Nirandha Thollkappium"

Tamil Grammar predates Pannini is simply foolish shit told by Tamil politicians just to the people like you who has brain in the knee.

Can you tell me what basis Tamil Grammar differed from Sanskrit.

Is it?Iknow all the three besides wide history of Vedic civilization and Tamil history.

  • Yours are just foolish opinion suited to morons like you.

If I started to write, then even you could not stand before me.Get a life!

Iam well versed in Tamil grammar and language.

  • Tell me which modern western experts proved that Dravidian civilization existed before. Can you enumerate with reference to modern discoveries and experts? and prove?

Then why Tamil literature vouch that Agastyar only founded Tamil language.

Western experts gave many bull shit to feed people like who always keep your brain in the knee.

All modern discoveries proved beyond doubt Harappan were Vedic and Dravidians are peninsular orign only.

  • Its been well proven by western scientists that the Dravidian civilization existed well before any aryans coming into India. It is also proven the dravidans had an advanced culture, language and spiritual practices which later came to be knows as Hinduism.

There are still many idiot north indians and brahmins who try to declare that they created everything that is worthwhile creating in the world despite overwhelming archeological and cultural evidence that proves otherwise.

  • Wrong. It has now been proven by genetic studies that nobody came from outside. Aryan Invasion Theory stands discredited today. Hence, Dravidians, Aryans all have existed from time immemorial. Differences cropped up due to geography, climate etc.

  • sanskrit is a language of the gods, it's not a human language so plz stop taking credit for it. North-south who borrowed what u are just letting your ego and regional pride get in your way of understanding this powerful language. Instead of letting this language transform you, you guys are arguing about regional dialects. Hinduism is all about conquering the ego, everyone here is doing the opposite.

  • 10,000years?what is the evidence?U ppl dont have any knowledge about ur own script?

  • There is no Arya or Dravida in India all Indians having a special DNA.. dont give ears to what west or British or English white people says..

  • As Tamil itself founded by Sage Agastya by the history of Tamil literature itself, where comes foolishness.Agastya clearly created Tamil using those existing Sanskrit Grammar, keeping in mind requirement and reality present in South.

Tamil and Sanskrit Grammar exactly same.

  • Sage agastya founded Tamil? My balls u asshole.Does Aryans have that much knowledge to create Tamil scripture? If so why not they create script to their own language sanskrit.

  • I am a tamilian. Agastya wrote the first grammar called "Agathiyam". The language obviously existed even before. The tamil script as it exists today was created and codified by an Italian with the name of "Veerama Munivar" (Constantine Belchi). Few in tamil nadu know or speak "Sentamizh". Infact, most tamilians have a hard time pronouncing the word "tamizh", some thing that is amusing if not tragic.

  • If Agastya created tamil then he must have been a time traveler because the tamil language and hinduism existed before Agastyar.. so this is a paradox..

Or you have had a bit too much ganja ;0)

  • Sage Agasthya did not create Tamil language. He only wrote the first Tamil grammar which predates the one written by Panini by many centuries. Tamil language may have borrowed a lot of sanskrit words but there is nothing in common. Take it from a guy who knows sanskrit, tamil and hindi.

  • Many redundant and vowel exists in English for example... V and W are interchangeable.. and many such example exists in other languages

  • umeshway, "v" and "w" might be interchangeable in many South Asian pronunciations of English but in the English of native speakers they most certainly are NOT interchangeable. /v/ is a labio-dental voiced fricative (the top teeth touch the bottom lip). /w/ is a rounded bilabial voiced approximant (the two lips come close but do NOT touch).

  • I AGREE WITH HIS DISCOURSE. Chicago, USA.

  • swamiji, bless us, plz heal us,

  • LMAO @ ABCD's.. he has a good sense of humor.

  • LOL :-)

  • thank you for posting this vid

  • shyamashriraminga

  • THis is great knowledge for a linguistic major. I have a project in my college linguistic class and am using "phonetic importance of sanskrit" as the topic. Not only can i have a chance to enlighten others, but also have a perfect topic for my project.

  • why does sanskrit sound like south indian dravidian language?

  • is this cultural some sort of Ahamkara ?

  • Does it really? They don't sound much alike to me. Many of the Dravidian languages as they are spoken today borrow heavily from Sanskrit for their vocabulary. Especially Telugu. Nevertheless, the grammatical structures remain distinctively different, and the sounds and envelope are not really comparable. (I only speak Sanskrit, not any Dravidian languages, so someone may correct me if I have misrepresented any of this.)

  • The Dravidian languages are older than Sanskrit. Dravidian languages like Tamil and Malayalam dont borrow much from Sanskrit at all, Telugu and I Kannada does as well I believe to more of an extent.

  • It is difficult to judge how old languages are without a written record -- especially when they are not related languages -- though I would probably tend to agree with you.

  • crannage2009. What? Malayalam doesn't borrow much from Sanskrit? You're completely wrong.

Tamil, of the 4 main Dravidian languages, borrowed less than the others in the past and, in the 20th century, has removed many of these borrowings. Of the other three, Malayalam probably has the HIGHEST percentage of loanwords from Sanskrit. Read "The Dravidian Languages" by Bhadriraju Krishnamurti. Also, just read books in Tamil and Malayalam and read. The % of Sanskrit is clearly higher in Malayalam.

  • u are correct.Sanskrit is the language of Cheaters and rogues know as HINDU GODs

  • Actually whole of India had come out of Sanskrit.

Unfortunately, spoken hindi(of the masses) is more arabicized because of arab invasions. Hence it sounds different. However , since south was not conquered, it still has sanskrit flavor, especially that , what Brahmans speak.

  • I agree... and llmatar7...FYI grammatical structures of Sanskrit and Dravidian languages are entirely identical. Example:

    English: "What is your name"

Sanskrit: "Tava naama kim"::"Your name what(is)"

Tamil: "Un pEr enna"::"Your name what(is)"

Kannada: "Ninna hesaru Enu"::"Your name what(is)"

Telugu: "Nee pEru Emi"::"Your name what(is)"

So you see, the relative placement of the different parts of speech is the same in Sanskrit and Dravidian languages.

BTW, do you actually SPEAK Sanskrit???

  • I'm trying to learn through Samskrita Bharati.

  • For a twenty-year-old American, I am fairly well-read in the classical texts, in prose and in verse, and I DO focus on the spoken language, as best I can. . . . To my detriment, I have not yet been trained in any Indian tradition. Hence, my grammar is primarily derived from epic-era literature, and my pronunciation, from heavy doses of audio files. I am currently also familiarising with Gandhari and Maharashtri, so I am familiar with Middle Indic. I do not, however, know ANY Vedic. [/Disclosure]

  • I remember listening to this discourse, and I never thought I would be able to watch it again online. This clip keeps the memory of Paramahamsa Nithyananda when I saw him fresh in my mind. Thank you!

  • Great video. Please post more information on Sanskrit.

  • what is the name of the music playing at the begining?
