  • This is great, I know a lot of chords and I know my scales. But how do I memorize what chords are in a key? I can look at a song and easily tell a key. Do I do a times table styled key table? Or does it all come with practice?

  • In Fmaj7#11 should be 133200, not 133400. But whole progression is cool and helps me a lot. Thanks NLG

  • Its hard for me to get my fingers to stretch, on the gadd6 chord, and when I play a b minor chord, any tips?

  • @rocketstar03

exercise the spyder method ...means fret one finger and play them back and fourth

    -1-2-3-4-4-3-2-1-+++2-3-4-5-5-4-3-2- and so on

helps me alot to get it accurate timing and precise point where i wann fret ... check the web on spyder exercise

    -----cheers

  • i've played guitar in 1 year now but i still suck

  • i've played guitar 7 month and play solo's?

  • how old are you?

  • 13, why?

  • YES! I need more videos like this! More chords! More things to play!!! Thank you for this! It seems like all I can do with my acoustic(I'm a beginner) is play simple chords. It's so hard to do any lead with it, embellish, etc. So cool chords like this help me get into it again, thanks!

  • After I got my electric I've only played my acoustic at church really, then playing a simple G5 made me fall back in love with it. Capo 5 helps you play acoustic again too.

  • Thanks David!

    *a little Neil Young-ish?*

  • is that guitar in standard tuning??

  • yes - lesson is in A440 standard tuning

  • how come I pm your channel and I just get ignored?

  • Dave im looking for another lesson email buddy :-)) my brain is bored lol. Thanks again for another insperation. Talk soon

  • I don't know about you guys, but for me this is pretty intuitive. I'm self-taught, and I didnt pay any attention to actually think about my strumming techniques, but i didnt need to either. Strumming comes naturally in my opinion.

  • ooh but nice guitar

  • issnt thet martys guitar?

  • i'm pretty sure marty uses a martin, that is a taylor

  • orgasmic guitar sound

  • great video man. its always important to be versatile when trying to write your own stuff.

  • agreed

  • Great video. A lot of players forget how important this is and focus on shredding scales as fast as they can.

  • Nice technique for beginners and a nice guitar sound.

  • give us some intermediate/advanced lessons!!!!

  • David you rock. Thanks for this video

  • Strangely sounding chords, especially that A9...Maybe to me, only. Good video, good to learn new stuff on the acoustic. :)

  • Hah , they sure sound unfamiliar :D

  • nice video.

  • your an awsome teacher!

  • @ZorosKatana yes he is = ) david Taub ladies n gentlemen , rock on good ppl

  • Get a life idiots. Good video

  • yeah! haha first time ever, sorry denny

  • Who cares?

  • lol i do, never gotten that shit before. sorry for being surprised that i actually got the first comment. it's funny how i see plenty of people do that and no one ever talks shit to them and the first time i do it, people talk shit. way to take something simple that made someone happy and destroy it.

  • Hey man, don't let sour ass people on the internet fuck with you. As someone who loves this channel as a growing guitar player, thank you for helping us fans in supporting it and encouraging Dave and company to keep posting great lessons.

  • hey thanks man i appreciate that

  • Everyone's always telling the ''first!'' persons to stop doing that , since no one cares, and they never really are first anyway ,
