@AntifaOwnsThisBitch Maybe you'd better check this out. The band (without EddieK) has started a new group with former members of Candlebox. They are called The Gracious Few. You can find them on myspace and facebook.
@JHaak001 I heard they were doing this. Just not the same Live anymore. Man I named my kids after them! LOL. Ill check them out tho. What's Ed doing these days?
@AntifaOwnsThisBitch As you might have found out, this is actually a home-made video by me. It contains some cuts of other videos I collected and combined into this collage.
Great video, reflective and a bit sad to see all this band has achieved. What a wonderful tribute, great to see all these different phases of Live in a song. Tried to catch them up till end, at least I thought that time was closing in. New days ahead! Love Peace!
Tyrone Wells had a song call "What are we fighting for?" many years previous to this.
War sometimes is the only answer to defend something that everyone deserves; FREEDOM. People that suppress others have no moral compass and cant be negotiated with. War takes many lives, absolutely, but it's goal is to ensure that the evil of this world doesnt control or take more lives; that wouldnt be much of a life at all.
"Of all the enemies of public liberty, war is perhaps the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops the germ of every other." - J. Madison
I will always love and respect and Ed as artist but i can not stand hearing the man talking. this was quite focused and practical talking from Ed. for the most part he talks absolute spiritual bullshit
there's never gonna be peace, EVER. and people need to get that through their heads. there has been war since the beggining of mankind and its not gonna stop anytime soon.there are plenty of wars that we've been fighting for a perfectly good cause. WW1, WW2, Afghanistan, and i no im gonna get a lot of shit for this but korea and veitnam. if you want me to explain why i think vietnam and korea had a good reason the just ask and ill be glad to give you my reason
Peace does not always have to be on a univeral level. Peace doesn't always have to be worldwide, as he suggests in the intro in this video. And, I'm not giving you "shit" for anything you say, I just think that you might want to try to think outside the box. Be ready for change.
It's embarrassing what a moron this very nice man is. So maybe the war against Nazis made the world more dangerous? Maybe fighting is always wrong and that if nobody is willing to fight evil, then evil will simply become nice...What a moron. Great song though
Which ever god you refer to. He is not a religious guy for sure, but knows a lot of spirituality. And that all is from the humans themselves. No matter what god they worthship. Whenever a war is fought every god steps a side and humans take over, I think is the meaning of that line.
i could see that as being his meaning, and although i am not too informed on every religion but according to the christian beliefs, there were numerous wars where God did not step aside, where he aided his armies.
Whatever his meaning is, it is a false statement any way you look at it
"the bible and history is strewn with wars for God and guided by God "
I think the fact that people would make a war in the name of god doesn't really mean that any god would approve a war. I believe these are two different things. However what u say is not wrong...history mentions numerous of wars guided by god. I just believe that no god would give a sign on what the next move should be on a war or so... as far as i'm concerned most of the religions disapprove the war.
The Greek god Athena, favorite daughter of Zeus; the great goddess of wisdom and the arts of war and peace. She favored the Greeks in the Trojan War, often called Pallas Athena as told by the blind poet Homer in the epic titled The Odyssey around 2nd century A.D. What i'm saying in that is Athena approved in war.
yea this is true and it doesn't apply only for Athena. Aris was also the god of war. The thing is that this is Greek Mythology and not a religion. I am Greek so trust me I know ;)
fine.. i agree with the fact that rocks songs about war n peace hardly helped.... but it shows these guys care about the world... perhaps also draw our attention towards this issue.
"war is not the answer"-depends what question you are asking. If you are asking how throughout history has evil been stopped-it was stopped not by rock songs, or touchey feely, lovey dovey stuff, but by Marines and Soldiers who gave their lives and who when successful killed bad guys...
Great song, great video.

I am really not sure what Nazis have to do with this song? Listen to what he says in the intro, and figure it out for yourself.

great song and i love it.
my only problem with it is the line... "theres nothing more godless than a war"
he is obviously not a religious person, the bible and history is strewn with wars for God and guided by God

I'll just leave it by saying : this is a great song. On the subject of religion there are numerous forums outthere where it can be discussed..
