That exact section of soil you were digging (the divet) was started by myself about 6 years ago and we've been panning there on an off since then. That big slab of "cement" that can be seen in the video just before you pan (next to the trail) is the remants of the volcanic mudflow the old miners were lifting in the 1800s to get to the gold underneath. Great video. Not quite in Lithgow. Keep it a secret!
@desertdreg nah they're the right way mate - they face this way / gold flows over the top and lands in the low pressure section on the other side if they were this way \ it would clog up and be useless... it might be an illusion??
after the first minute im thinking..somethings gonna jump out at the car..somethings gona jump out...sorta gives a testament to the modern horror film that thats the first thing im always looking out for XD
where abouts near lithgow? im from bathurst.you should get a yabbey pump for that little hole suck into the pan and let the water back into the hole again...have fun!
@MrCoolcool666 how much i like gold panning , i love watching your video, hopei can do thath thing her in phillippines , thanks and happy panning to all
it's all about the serch & find for me! i've made up some weird scrapers/picks/cups/spoons/suckers/blowers and a few other bits and pieces to find gold in the tightest most dificult spots. it's a chalenge.
i'll give you a tip from here on the California mother load area brother. buy a large ice cream scooper. it will get larger amounts of material then that hand shovel and it will "HUGELY" reduce wear on your hands and arms. i use 2 now. both have their trigger mechanism removed and a thin bolt slid through the remaining scoop holes but ones scoop is bent to form a much more pointed shape for narrow areas. also, don't buy cheap ones. they'll likely fall apart on day one. mine are several years old
Hey Dave if like blues try out my mates band ! you will love them..... Chase the Sun ! and the best thing is they are local boys ! Oh by the way... you ever get much gold ?
Nice video, I regularly freaquented the Sunnycorner area prospecting as a kid, always a good spot for a sluice, not a great deal of gold there compared to other areas like HillEnd etc.
yeah cool man, prolly take until the end of time to get some grammage but cool...
