  • good friends:-) Lieke our Dobi Luna and our baby Max (20 Months)

  • Strong baby.

  • Remember when Dobermans were the awful viscous baby killers?? They had a horrible reputation in the media for decades. Now it's Pitts - Neither deserve the rap they are getting!

-- Doberman owner and rescuer for over 12 years, Pitt owner of the sweetest most protective dog in the world!

  • That's why i have one my own. Is the best dog ever, the best protector and the best friend for your families.

For the next time i will share new videos.

    I love my dog <3

  • lol the baby is so confused

  • These dogs are amazing. To think they were actually bred to kill human and protect their owner. Yet this is proof of how good they are with people. They love their families and are loyal beyond belief.

  • @Thetruenihilus - Um... dobermans were never bred to "kill" humans. lol.. just protect a tax collector :)

  • @snixsnix11 Yes, protect a tax collector from (people) When this dog is protecting, what does that mean. It surely is not going to maul someone and walk away. It would be to kill. I love Dobermans, don't me wrong. But their bodies and teeth were designed for human take down. By the logic of their breeding back then, they would have been considered the most lethal human killer. Not so much now, because the breed is more of a pet. Either way they are amazing dogs/pets/friends.

  • This is so beautiful! Makes me wanna cry... I had this same relationship with my dobies when I was a baby. They watched over me and were my best friends until I was 13 years old. <3 There's nothing in the world like the bond between a child and its puppy. :3

  • what are the chances of that doberman let a strange get close to the baby?

  • @enarrais Spider (that's the dog's name) was very protective of him when he was tiny. Now she is just wary of strangers but she trusts me if I tell her that the person is okay. Max is four years old now and Spider still keeps a close watch. She's a terrific dog.

  • You realize your teaching your Doberman to have dominance over the baby. I have a red and rust dobe and he knows that the baby is above him in the rank chain.

  • @nikao60, what do you mean "is not DOBERMAN"? Is too Doberman! I didn't have her ears cut, but she is a pedigreed Doberman Pinscher.

  • is not DOBERMAN

  • @nikao60 it is a doberman

  • Dobermans are the sweetest dogs ever

  • I have a doberman, This is amazing to see. this was always one of my thought, how they would act towards babie. mine loves toddlers but has yet to be around a baby.

  • We had a red Doberman named Loco and a Wolf Shepard Hybrid named Bullet. They protected my sister and would only let my mother and grand father near her. My dad and grandmother didn't stand a chance of getting near the crib. They are protectful by nature. You have a great animal cherrish these times because your child is too small to remember but, is sure to become an animal lover. Loved these vids.

  • 1:16 all I saw was the baby's head and the corner of the table. other than that cute...

  • I think this breed is the scariest looking of them all, so it's heartwarming to see this side of it.

  • This is SO CUTE! ^__^

  • haha, 1:43 is so cute

  • such beautiful dogs

  • I can't help but notice how gentle dogs and cats are with babies. I wonder why that is?

  • @AuroraCelest Its cos they both have a very strong maternal instinct coupled with a powerful sense of smell they can tell your kid is yours an will automaticly welcome them into the family and in lots of cases protect the kid over the adult if its gettin attacked plus being a dobie their very gd at reading moods and emotions in fact dobermans in general have bin accused of overloving younger members of familys lol

  • @AuroraCelest I have noticed from raising dogs around babies that they sense that they are in fact babies. When my mother was pregnant with my little brother our family dog "Sugar" would stay behind her, not run or jump anywhere near her and was super protective. With anyone else she would run up to and just be crazy with, unless commanded to do otherwise. Dogs can just tell.

  • @deeallen2 i didnt even right that ..

idk who did my youtube is always logged on

and ps . i dont have one video that im in on my chanel ..

    and you make no sence.

ps anger issues much .. i just read your inbox lolol ur hilarious .

  • @deeallen2 if it says comments removed , the person who wrote it removed it . duur .

  • very nice!

dobers look fine without cropped ears...

  • HI MAX!

  • @deeallen2 Dobermans are very gental with little children in their family. They seem to understand they need to be gental with children. I know as i had a lovely female Dobi for 15 years before she died. and i also knew her mother for 10 years before she died. THEY both were very gental with children. Doberman will bond with children very quickly at a young age and will become protective of them. They will even give their own life to protect their family and specially the children.

  • Dobes too young to quite grasp the notion of gentle play but meh, whatever!

  • soooooooooooooo cute!!!!

  • I think the dog isn't really exactly playing with the baby (although obviously the dog is using it as a game) I think the dog is actually trying to teach the baby how to hunt just as they would a pup! Too cute!

  • @deeallen2 I can't remember either. :) Was that just a month ago? I don't remember removing the comments, actually. Who knows.

  • true story:i know a married couple that have a doberman a.k.a Da-Buster, well, a fire break out in the kitchen, Da-Buster, runs up to the bedroom barks non stop, owners are out cold sleeping, so Da-buster bites the foot of the owner, she awakens, couple lives, kitchen destroyed, the whole block showers Da-buster with gifts and treats!! Dogs are Simply Amazing!! thx for sharing this video,God bless to your son max and spider!!!

  • I LOVE videos like these that show people that the breed doesn't make them dangerous, it's how they are raised =) Very cute!

  • That's one smart and gorgeous dog. How sensitive he is with the little person. Ya just know they are going to be each others best friends.

    Lovely to see.

  • @nowexit Thanks for your nice comment. Max is three years old now, and you're right, they are the best of friends.

  • incredible, how careful this dog is

  • lol to cute ^^. maybe when your baby gets older your dog will snatch Cigerrets away from em ;). just hopefully wont give them back xD

  • @dogylover1 Ha ha - I doubt that will happen - I'm certain my dog is too smart to ever pick up a cigarette; I hope the same is true for my son! :)

  • @deeallen2

No name-calling please; it's juvenile and rude. "get it" was directed at the toy, not my child! The dog knew that because the dog was, by that time, quite accustomed to how I spoke to her during play time. Keep your comments polite or I will delete them.

Of course I appreciate anyone who is concerned for my son's safety. Max is three now, and he and Spider are still the best of friends.

  • I agree, but its amazing how gentle the dog is with the baby considering how powerfull the breed is.

  • This s bug powerful animal which seems to play too rough with the baby.

  • Nice Video!! Thanks for sharing!

  • i see a couple best buds in the future

  • i bring s asmill on my face if i see this :D

  • wow ur dog is pretty good with babies that's very good

  • Atleast the baby and the doggie are getting exercise! No ones left out :)

  • the baby could get hurt. that table was near his/her head

  • are you joking???

  • @Trifunovici isn't it a possibility that the kid might bang his head on the table, by playing with the dog near it?

  • Do you really think that the baby would get hurt? You should relax and enjoy this great video.

  • @Trifunovici its possible

  • How you raised your beautiful dog is why this BEAUTIFUL interaction exists. Awesome!!! Thank you for sharing this video....

  • This is so cute! He is so gentle with her.

  • pretty A-M-A-Z-I-N-G really!!!! gentle giant likes to share i see. very nice.

  • My parents were like this, they had dobies, I loved to play with them and they loved to play with me, this was when I was a baby now I'm 23 and they passed away, nothing happend to me, never got a bruise, scratch or anything, they were really sweet although sometimes I played just a bit hard with them, but if some stranger tried to reach me they were like the typical doberman from the movies, barking, trying to "kill" and destroy if possible before letting me down. I still miss them a lot :(

  • Comment removed

  • This is soooo cute!!! :)) The baby is gonna grow up with the dog! Dobermans are true friends to people! I had doberman too, miss him deeply... :'(

  • I love reading these comments & can't believe more than 60k have watched! Max is three now. Playing with him is more fun for Spider now that he's able to throw stuff and run around. I think people who posted negative comments did so from a concerned, loving perspective; perhaps they don't understand dogs well, or have never experienced the miracle bond between a child and a gentle, intelligent animal.

  • I have two dobes in the house and both my grandchildren learned to walk by pulling up on them. The dogs would stand very still until the babies got hold of something else, then they would either walk away or lay down, but they would never move until the baby was well away from them.

  • You could tell the dobe was just playing he didnt really even care that much about the toy at one point he throws the toy to the kid so he can play tug o war he was fine. From my understanding doberman will do anything to protect there family and that baby is his family. he just haveing some fun w the baby.

  • Well to be fair the kid is not alone playing with the dog. My understanding is that Dobies are only agressive to kids if the kids molest them like pull their ears and poke their eyes repeatedly and stuff. So as long as mom makes sure baby doesn't do that Dobe's are safe. - Right?

  • cute video!!!! i used to have two dobermanns, male and female, they are really great with kids! after 3 years, i still miss them...

  • SWEET !

  • oh my i love this vid u can see the dog doesnt want to take the toy away it actually wants the baby to play wiv it soo cute..x

  • Great video. No matter how well trained your dog is, it is still a predator. That is why you should never leave a dog alone with a baby. And not even if the dog is a chihuahua.

I love dobies, it is a great breed. I lost my dobermann 13 month ago and it still hurts. I would really like a new dobermann.

  • ya i kind of feel your pain put it wasnt a doberman it was my husky and he died yesterday morning and he was 17 so he was in my family longer than me

  • Amazing how the dobie doesn't even barely touch the baby at all for his size. Unbelievable. I love Dobermans.

  • One very very intelligent dog.

  • cute dog i own one and he likes to play with my cat and baby

  • great dog. it's so cute how the dog takes the toy and then gives it back. amazing

  • The dog is very smart. He knows how to play with other.

  • oops my 3rd word was suppose to be not, instead of noy, my dog distracted me,lol...

  • I may noy know much about this breed, but just as a mother I was tripping on how close the dog came to scratching the baby in the face, let alone stepping on him. I dunno, maybe i'm uptight about that sort of stuff, but it was too close in my opinion!

  • Funny that so many experts like to post opinions here, I have known more children to be attacked by smaller dogs, like poodles and cocker spaniels than by Dobermans or Shepherds, this dogs is doing nothing but playing, where is this so called Defensive position ricardomsh? gimme a break, should know what you are talking about before you try to seem like you are an expert! Know what causes most injuries to children in the world? Human beings! their parents, ....prey drive!!!!! hahahahahahahahaha

  • I agree, at no point was Max distressed even when Spider gave a little growly woof as incouragement for him to pick up the toy. I was brought up with Dobs and when I was a baby (we had two), I used to carried about by my nappy. The only concern that my parents had was if I landed on my head when Rocco opened his mouth. It is all in the up bringing. I never been bitten by a poodle, but still have a scare from a jack russell terrier. Boy the blood poured that day.

  • Your post doesn't really make much sense to be honest, mainly b/c it's based on opinion and not fact. First, the dog was not showing any aggression, if you know a little bit about dogs and their postures that's plainly evident. When they lean down on their front two legs like that, it's their "playful" position. Far as risk of being bitten, that's all socializing, if you socialize your dog properly there is very little chance of a bite, same risk you take with baby sitters I imagine.

  • I know that most dogs are good with babies depending on how you raise them and temperemant and all,but I would be so nervous! How do you make sure your dog doesn't get over-excited or freaked out by the baby?

  • I have a doberman i no it is how u raise them but they r sweetie pies they play like that and the bark is also a play bark u should always watch the dog though bicause u never know but over all they are nice

  • Same way you do with baby sitters, day cares, etc. There's no greater risk with a dog than with any of those, yet no one thinks leaving your baby there is reckless. If you've raised your dog from a pup, socialized it properly, supervised it with your baby, there's little risk, people know there dogs.

  • I want one.

  • Dobes are the best dog any family could ever have. Nice dog and cutie baby,

  • you know whats funny they have a play bark and a serious bark. there just a all around good dog for kids of any age and there very loyal.

  • the dogs a jerk!!! lol it took the toy and put it down and looked at the kid like "get it" and when the kid came over it took it away lol!!! thats how our boxer used to be with my younger sis

  • Doberman's are good dogs, my family has owned them since the 1960's. Not one of my family's dog's have ever attacked. I plan to get a Dobie soon, I don't care what people think, they can call them 'devil dog' all they want, they'll never change my opinions towards this breed, and I don't care if I get bit, I'll still give these dogs a chance!

P.s. Shame on Dublin(Ireland)for banning the Doberman!

  • Love this video.

  • i pray my dobey is that gentle with kids.. right now he can be like a bull at times with me (just playing of course).. then other times hes a pure baby and just likes being close

  • Your dog is awesome, you can tell he really loves your/his sweet baby (and baby loves the dog). You will never be able to scold or spank that child when the dog is in the room.

  • wow

  • i've had dobermans my whole life, and i've been around a lot of other dobermans as well... i can't remember a single instance of a doberman attacking somebody that they weren't supposed to. my neighbors house got broken into, and the burgler had to get 40 stitches from their doberman... and the dog was even more gentle than any of the ones i've owned! i was suprised!!! they are very loyal, and smart creatures. good with children, and protective of their home and family.. i love them to death!

  • the child's head right side could have hit the table's corner, ouch!

  • When the dog throws the toy to the baby is fantastic!! Lol

  • Are you an idiot? obviously

You are a retarded person for even thinking that that Doberman will harm the baby. Firstly wherever you got your information from will CLEARLY say NOT to leave a baby and a dog ALONE. Get it? ALONE. This woman did nothing wrong, as the dog clearly had playful tendencies, and she was also good NOT to leave the child alone with the dog. sources erroneously, please go do more research because clearly you haven't a clue about what you're talking about.

  • Whoa!!! one dog out of how many who are in the same breed? dimwit. Will you classify all white people as slave owners because a couple of them owned slaves centuries ago? Will you classify all black people as thieves because some of them actually robbed a bank? Will you classify all hispanics as early babymakers because some women had their children early? Of course if you're a rational person you wouldn't think this (hopefully). So you have absolutely NO REASON to judge a whole breed. XD

  • adorable! i have to admit i was a little frightened when she started barking that she might be a little too boisterous but then when they are both holding the toy, she is so gentle with it!

  • I was born and raised with a Doberman in my house, and he was great to me even as a little kid. My parents tell me he used to sleep under my crib every night to protect me. Not once did he ever bite me or act rough with me in any way! I remember being heartbroken at age 6 when he died, he helped raise me. These are great dogs and they are great with kids!

  • ha awesome

  • aS NERVOUS AS i AM WATCHING IT THIS IS THE CUTEST VIDEO...I KNOW IT'S JUST BECUASE I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE GENTLE NATURE OF THESE BEAUTIFUL DOGS.

  • Bravo - A superb video!!

A classic video showing the true temperment of a Dobie :)

The dog is aware of every paw when it is leaping and even restrains itself from the usual pawing game that Dobes play, obviously realising that the child is fragile..

It gives me soooooo much pleasure to see people who do not get rid of a dog simply because a baby is entering the house.. The dog was there first, when trained well a dog and will welcome and protect a child.

Spider is a credit to you:)

  • Spider looks very much in control of himself and he would never hurt max. Lovely dobe, take care of them both!

  • as soft and gentle as im sure this dobe is, i jst felt that she was just cm's away from taking the child's (max?)hand off! do u know how easily it wud have been for spider to accidently bite max's hand went playing with the toy? was worried for a while

  • You haven't owned a doberman, or even very many large breed dogs, have you? Yes, a bite (as in mouth around a hand) could accidentaly happen, but the dog would have to be intentionally biting to take even a baby's hand off. As far as hurting the child with a bite, well, I'd say even that is unlikely. Spider wasn't using that kind of force to manipulate the toy; not even close. Why would she use that much force to play with a toy? Did you not notice how easily the toy flung from her mouth?

  • aw what a nice dog

  • Spider is gentle , even his bark sounds in playtime. the baby Mac? , i heard (or did i imagine?) a little "grrrrr" , middle of the video . was amused the whole time watching. thanks for sharing . anti-doberman viewers should see this video , Spider's harmless. treasure this video , it's a classic .

  • It's hilarious @2:22 when the baby plants his bottom on the toy and everyone involved looks like, "WHAT?"

  • That kid was on cloud 9 there. :)

  • 1:42-1:45 omg look at their faces....!

  • Theese dogs are rlly amazing!

  • Doberman its a girl ?

    Cute baby

  • your kid is absolutely a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e!

  • @sprinks41 Thank you!!

  • Love it! My Dobie is exactly the same way around kids- and yet most parents don't let their kids near her. See Lucy vs. Mighty Mouse for more scary Dobies.

  • This is adorable, dobermans are awesome.

  • The kid is extremely cute also haha

  • without a doubt, the best breed of dog. This dog could hurt the baby really bad without even thinking if it wanted to. The fact that it is so gentle and aware with the child shows just how intelligent and amazing these dogs are.

  • I know! I saw this with my dobe years ago. She could trample anything, but was always aware of her footing when she jumped around little kids of babies (cats and bunnies too) playing.

  • nice:)

  • nice :)

  • LOLL

  • So cute, thanks for posting...Dobermans are good with kids and so gentle.

  • hhaaahha lovely
