hi Anne i want to ask a question to you if you will reply me than it will be very very helpful to me what is that acid which is the best skin cleanser which can remove dead skin form the face in soaps and cosmetic cream as well
@surilyskala I'm not sure what's best - what kind of skin cleanser you use kind of depends on your personal preference. I never use soap on my face, and I'm always trying out new recipes and cleansers.
@vascheergirl18 Yes, if you flex a plastic mold too much you can break it. So always apply slow gently pressure and remember you aren't pushing the soap out just breaking the air-lock so that the soap can slide out.
Also, if you put your soap in the freezer to help pop it out easier remember that the cold plastic is more brittle and can easily break.
I love your videos unlike most tutorials on YouTube, it's not fast or inaccurate or unpracticed. Thank you! I'd like to be able to but essential oils in the store because I'm not a fan of shopping online. Do you know if whole foods, ac Moore, michaels, or shop rite may have them? Frangrence too.... Thanks!
@ulietjay Whole Foods would probably have some great essential oils. Fragrance oils can be found at Michael's and anywhere that sells soapmaking supplies. Make sure that whatever you use it is skin-safe and cosmetic grade.
i would make some "pearls" out of white soap and some sparkly oxide or mica and put them in the center of the shells during the final layer pouring for a little surprise :) !
A-M, I just looove you! I am finally going to make this, and reading the instructions in the booklet that came with the kit just wasn't doing ti for me, but combining that and this video is giving me confidence I need to tackle it. :) And many thanks to Paula for sharing the project (I love her tool kit!).
Thanks for your enthusiasm about starting to make soap. it's a super fun endeavor. And, I'm betting that once you get hooked, you'll have a grin from ear to ear - just like me in the video.
I really do mean it when I say 'Happy Soaping' at the end of every video. And, reading your comments, I guess my exuberance definitely shines through.

Does M&P soap have to be cured like CP?
polymerclayfreak 9 months ago
@polymerclayfreak No, melt & pour soap can be used immediately - unlike Cold process soap which needs to be cured for 4 to 6 weeks.

@ohhaiichar Oh I wouldn't be so quick. Soapmaking creeps up on you and takes over before you even realize it. :)
