me! I got a curling wand for christmas and the instructions really didn't help me. but my curling wand is shaped more like a cone (like its 1 1/2 at the bottom and it's 1 at the top)

Can you please make a hair tutorial on getting extremely tight curls using a 1 and 1/2 inch curling iron.

No I'm not looking for Taylor Swift curls nor am I looking for soft curls from a 1 and 1/2 inch.

All I really want is a video of you wrapping your hair around the barrel of a 1 1/2inch without the clamp, resulting into large big tight (not loose) curls.

I really need this tutorial soon because its almost prom and I havent found a video of anyone having done this.

@xKiNGAROO I used the medium setting for this particular curling iron. It comes in Low, Medium, High...so I'm sorry but I can't tell you exactly what temperature that is!! :(

@neonzebraoatmeal yes you can. this whole clipless curling iron is a scam, if only people were smart enough to figure it out. do the same thing she is doing but make sure to always twist your hair really tight on the barrel then close the clamp. then open it up and twirl your hair while its hot and wha-la

@neonzebraoatmeal Yes you can, but keep in mind that the heat distribution will be a bit off, since the side with the clamp will not conduct the heat as well / evenly. It can still be done, but it MAY possibly be not as effective or time efficient.
