Factory farming of animals for food accounts for more greenhouse gas emissions than all transport combined (report published by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization). If you care about global warming and the melting of the ice caps but you're eating a diet with meat and other animal products, then you are a very big contributing factor to our destruction. Adopt a plant based diet and the world will start to become a better place, for everyone.
@Kai0nTheMoon, that's a great point. Our use of nonhuman animals is an environmental disaster: the number one cause of biodiversity loss, deforestation, water pollution, topsoil depletion, and anthropogenic global climate change.
But we need to ask what difference there is between the polar bears we pity and the "free-range" chickens we eat or the cows we wear. There is no morally relevant difference. We should be vegan. That's what we owe them. abolitionistapproach [dot] com [slash] video
just to state a fact the mainstream global warming is a myth, man has barely effected the environment though pollution is still bad, its far to exaggerated. however over the past 1000 years the earth is actually cooling by true un-doctored scientific research but as of the past 100 years it has been found that the Sun is growing brighter and putting out much more energy causing rising temperatures through out our Solar System. but great vid nice touch and the point itself is still very valid.
@kaiyne316 thanks for the breif explanation. When you see these bears swimming it's what they do. Some of those shots are taken during the summer months. I love how poeple seem to disregard that the antartic ice is growing. But that dosen't support the myth of global warming. Carbon Dioxide is part of every human being and is an essential part of the organic eco system on planet earth.
Me too! It's terrible. And now as they try to find new homes, some have swimmed out from Greenland and reached Iceland, but there they got shot to death as a welcome greeting from the humans there...
it's all our fault, and i like to think that it's too late and that the damage to our planet and wildlife is already done.
They really are starving, being underweight, i think they've resorted to cannibalism.
In a few decades, alot of these glaciers are going to be gone. We've killed so much animals to extinction, not to mention sealife is starting to die out, from overfishing, so many species won't survive another 50 years. Our kids won't have any animals left to see at zoo's.
yep... and i mean what i said. I dont think we are gonna live long enough for anyone else to inhabbit this planet. its fucked up enough as it is... theres no going back now.
@Sissham Polar Bears were stupid enough to live in an area with no above sea level land masses. Which in history has been melted before, so its not like we caused this to happen.

I feel awful for those polar bears. Their homes are melting and they are starving from not being able to hunt their seals. :(

it's decades of damage when you think about how long we've lived this way up until recently with this whole global warming epidemic.
The damage is already done like you said. We can only hope to keep it going and slow the bleeding.
The one planet that can sustain life as we know it and we end up fucking it up with factorys, cars, over hunting.
