  • holy shit 110 microfarad. Thats 0.11 Farad

  • No, thats 0.11 millifarad, 0.00011 farad.

  • a neon bulb create's a dead short when it lights up it becomes a conductive path for electricity. pos hits neg.. when you say keeping it 90v do you mean shorting it out when it reaches 90v?

  • I wired up a 555chip, I got it to light up a led with PWM.., now.. insted of lighting up a led on pin 3... you have it hooked to a capacitor through the bedini circuit??

  • is a charging battery replaced by a 450v cap? can i have that diagram

  • Yes it is but the neon bulb is keeping the cap around 78-80 volts. if you type in (How to wire a 555 chip for PWM) in the youtube search ProzacGraal has a good vid on how to wire the 555.

  • maaaaan... where did you get those capacitors... I cant find any of that high ranges... oh well... ill have to keep searching...

  • Make me an offer. Maybe I can send you some?

  • I liked your opening. I thought about your discovery. I came to the conclusion that you get an ordinary transformer.

  • Good job. You made a new version of a solid state Bedini SSG. I like it. Especially since you have it running on solar energy. I got one of my Bedini SSGs to self-oscillate but simply increasing the transistor base resistance. I kept adding resistors to a high ohm pot until the coils started to hum (trial and error). If you "tickle" the coils with a small neo magnet it works also. Lose the rotor. No 555 timer circuit needed. Check out GBluer's videos. All his circuits run whitout a rotor.

  • Thanks for your comment. I have been following your videos for quite some time now. I got my SSG to self-oscillate by adding an ignition coil on the back side of the charge battery. just like on one of your videos (slightly) different. I'll post it in a few hours. Thanks again

  • Great! This sharing of ideas helps everyone. It speeds up the learning curve. People start putting the pieces of the puzzle together faster and faster.

  • nice work though, keep developing...

  • hi infamous,

555 timers have been used for bedinis previously, however they usually have the output from the 555 going to the bast of the transister...

I'm struggling to understand why your setup is actually working...

I must be missing something somewhere

  • I did notice the neon bulb on the transistor would light up a few seconds before the capacitor reached 80 volts. I can hook up a car coil on the negative side of the charge battery and it lights a CFL, But it wont light up with my 555 setup.
