Gracias a Andrés Segovia!

  • It's very relaxing. Listen and forget your thoughts and griefs. Great music.

  • Questa è l'arte, si!

  • Giusto!!!

  • Perfect... Bream destroyed the intro playing it as it not should be, slow. Capricho Arabe... it´s arab, it´s flamenco, it needs flow in the beggining. It means Arab Caprice. It has a flamenco touch to it, so Bream destroys it playng the intro so disconnectected.... Segovia master of all.

  • @TubeSpoker i think bream play too fast after the intro

  • @TubeSpoker actually tarrega marks it as a Serenade, so yea its supposed to be slow. My professor was the student of Rey de la Torre so yea, i would know

  • this sound is arrebatador.

  • EPIC

  • God's gift to music.

  • @392ih nope.

    Andres´s gift to us.

  • @xaladolokiyo nope

Andres is god, and we are the music.

  • espléndidamente maravilloso

  • 12 people gave thumbs down? why, i wonder?

  • @theadore21 because they are jealous of his interpretation

  • @theadore21 probably green with envy

  • A good question. What guitar he's using here?Cedar or Spruce?

It's likely one of his Fleta or a Ramirez in 1973.But which?

  • This piece has been intriguing me ever since I read "Practicing" by Glenn Kurtz.

  • Thanks, maestro

  • he he. i used to play this when i was a kid in the ''conservatory school of music'' in romania , bucharest.

  • ESTE ES ANDRES EL MEJOR MUSICO DE LA GUITARRA CLASICA

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa esta cacion esta beien bonita

  • the best version of this to me is Cacho Tirao's.

  • This song remembers me when i was in the conservatory playing this.

When i was a man of feelings, not science.

    I sure miss that time

  • @MrKissmekillme You can be a man of both feeling and science. Actually, it very much helps your science to have feeling (as of any of the great scientists), and it very much helps you spiritually to think about science.

  • Strange, it went from 11 d back down to 10. The Maestro must be reaching back to say: "Idiots !!"

  • I quit studying classical guitar years ago and now listening to this and Bream's version feels so nostalgic. Shit, I'm so gonna quit my lousy job and start playing again.

  • @oknarbtal I know, I did it!

  • @oknarbtal good on you

  • @oknarbtal hahaha, same feeling except i probably have more free time than you and i practice every early morning.

  • Ugh, this is in drop D tuning, so appalling. . .

  • @refinedfriend why? drop D sounds awesome

  • @refinedfriend ???? That's one of the most retarded things I've read on youtube.

  • @jamma246 Drop D is irritating to tune to, it messes with anything else you do as you have to constantly remember that everything on your bottom string has to be moved up 2 frets to have the same notes, it's just a pain in general, obviously unless it's someone who nearly exclusively uses it, which would not be me, thus explaining my dislike of it.

  • @refinedfriend Ok, fair enough. I suppose you can't really improvise with it unless you are used to it, but it's fine for certain songs once you've learned them. I thought you were going to be one of those who associate it with bad metal music or something.

The Schindler's list theme played by John Williams using something like a C on the bottom string (don't think it's drop C tuning though, something different).

  • @jamma246 Yes jamma, I agree. I love "Dedicatoria" as played by Bream. It used a sixth string tuned to D. So what? You learn the piece one way. When your ready to play another piece, tune back up. No biggie.

  • Magnifique, absolument magnifique... merci ultimate touch of awsome

  • Anyone know where I can get the guitar sheet music for this piece, with the same notes he plays in the video, I have heard it many different ways, I like it here the best.

  • @refinedfriend Segovia used Schott as his music publisher. They are on the Internet.

  • ESTE ES ANDRES SEGOVIA EL MEJOR GUITARRISTA DEL MUNDO QUE HIZO POPULAR LA GUITARRA. GRACIAS ANDRESf!

  • Es Capricho Arabe de Francisco Tàrrega de Villarreal mi ciudad

  • the crazy things is once you learn correct fingering this isn't an amazingly hard song.but to play it with as much expression as in this video is pretty damn hard.. i dont even come close!

  • Es Tárrega, os lo aseguro

  • Yes this is Andres the greatest guitar player ever and the man that made the guitar popular

  • This is Andres Segovia ! from the cassette "My Favorite Spanish Encores" which was later re-released on CD as "Obras breves espanolas". Also, read the "A New Look At Segovia" (vols 1,2) books to connect-the-dots. This is Andres Segovia !

  • Segovia? Sure of that? No kidding! With these heavy slow fingers??

  • @oweiye I was thinking the same. Maybe, but I am also skeptical

  • This is fantastic!

  • Where can you go from this? Segovia the ultimate!

  • 6 dislike??? WTH

  • @agostinomaiello maybe they dont like that theres no picture

  • @bichepo :-)))

  • La musica es hermosa. Es increíble. Sí, Muchos Gracias Andres Segovia por su maravillosa interpretación.

  • grande

  • Yes, it is obviously that this was recorded in the seventies; Segovia should have known when to stop instead of continuing to play and produce such dreadful and pathetic performances...

  • Why is the video screen all black, nothing showing? Music is fine though.

  • Anyone who plays this piece: Could you please tell me what right hand fingerings you use for the run on measure 7? While you're at it, could you also include the left hand fingerings for that measure? Thank you!!!

  • Segovia is actually pretty mediocre if you listen to him objectively compared to any number of modern day guitarists. High-quality guitarist seem to be a dime a dozen these days.

  • @trainora yes but you,re used to the modern sound whereas this is no nonsense solid meat and potatoes with gravy and a crusty roll

  • @trainora why? because he doesn't play it as fast? He plays it at the right tempo

  • @trainora

there are very very few people who ever lived who have mastered the guitar. Actually mastered it, I mean.

It probably has the least masters to its name than any other instrument, especially in comparison to how many players play it.

  • @trainora I think he is not Segovia, that is why this sounds...crappy. Seach for another video...he recorded the best version of this song.

  • @Ugallardo Nah this is Segovia alright. You can tell by the way how needlessly slow the piece is played.

    Check Bream's version imo

  • @ScarletMagenta This is not Segovia. Search for Francisco Tarrega - Capricho Arabe by Andrés Segovia uploaded by satanicmethuser666. That one was recorded by Segovia.

  • His rest stroke is so effin good...

  • this not for andres segovia

  • Segovia is the best guitarist, and this is very beautiful song that was played by Segovia

  • this is awesome. Thank u for sharing :x

  • Primero que nada, esta grabracion es del 1973. Cuantos an~os tenia Segovia en el 73: 80 an~os. Has escuchado a John Williams ultimamente. Ya tiene 70 an~os. Dale 10 an~os mas.

Saludos.

  • I would just like to know who the two humans were that actually hit dislike to this so I can know who I should best try to avoid in life.

BRAVO Andres... There was only one like you. Although I love Bream and WIlliams, you sir were and still are the watermark that all aim for.

  • My favorite version thanks to the expressiveness on the fast descending run that is too often just played fast, without the variance for expression. Once again Segovia shows why he is the master and Master Tarrega smiled upon him.

  • some one should tab for 1:04

  • @ironman0594 It's really easy, i will do a tutorial to play this song soon, =)

  • Segovia Explain the spirit of "Capricho Arabe"

He have make it shine like the sun sometimes and at other times he make it like the flow of fresh water

    Thank you Andres Segovia

  • love capricho
