2011 Garden vlog ....forgot the leeks!

That's whats cool about gardening..Just when ya think ya have everything out, POOF! There's like 20 things ya didn't notice pop out. ; ) My asparagus didn't get 1/2 that high : p lol

Nice always nice to have things that you can still harvest in the winter time. Mine is all done for the year but i am growing stuff indoors this year and have some great plans for next year. What are you growing indoors this year?

Pretty leeks! Fresh leeks out of the garden must taste alot better than from the store! Yours aren't all tough and dried out looking.

@knyquol I started then late from seed, that's why they were so small. And I'm not sure about the seeds yet ;)

@jihadacadien I've had bad luck starting onions indoors(leeks too) but I've ordered my seeds and am going to give it a go I figure if I can save the money from that it will almost cover the cost of the asparagus plants I am buying and then I can buy another fruit tree or something rather than onion plants!

@knyquol I guess they don't like too much heat...but they are a bit touchy....but they could be sown outdoor..I've even let some over winter and haarvested them the next year.They will grow as long as you cut the flower part ;)

Mmmmmm. potato and leek soup I love it. I didn't grow any this year so I will have to buy mine. Your sister tells me you didn't get this storm, lucky you. We got a real mess 8 to 10 inches of the heavy wet stuff.
