  • iwant this phonee but im not on a plan and its $599.99 at at&t

  • I have 4000kb internet speed, will there be a differance between titan and titan2 on 4mb?because I'm planning to get of them and I'm not planning to get a 4glte,so could someone help me out??!

  • @MaskedKane95 The only difference between the Titan and the Titan 2 is that the Titan 2 has a 16mp camera compared to Titan's 8mp. Titan 2 has 4G LTE support on AT&T's 4G LTE network. So, if you don't want 4G LTE, get the original Titan. It's damn good.

  • Get the HTC Titan on pay as you go or contract by comparing all the major high street retailers

    CellFawn.com

  • 3 week already HTC should have a new phones !!!!!!!

  • HTC Titan or EVO 3D?

  • Recording from bunker that's why no possible to connect to Internet ;-(

Get lost in your bunker !

  • phone looks amazing, i had htc windows phone now i have samsung htc works smoother

  • THE AWAITED DATE? 11-20-11!

  • Samsung galaxy nexus is gonna destroy all

  • Go at&t!!!!!

  • Can someone tell me whats better HTC Titan or the Samsung Focus S?

  • @xxFlacoXD HTC Titan

  • @xxFlacoXD titan's better

  • im not sure if that thing can fit in my pocket with my enormous...

    nevermind

  • Is this phone coming to the U.S. ? and if so, what carrier(s) ?

  • @poopybooty24 Yup and it's for AT&T

  • This phone is huge, if you can call it a phone, it looks more like a tabletpc.

Htc forgot that a mobilephone in its deffinition must be portable, so you can fit it in your poket.

I wouldn't buy this, because of it's size.

  • this phone is too big, not suitable for Asian hands

  • @MrFernuti but perfect for black hands

  • we want this in Canada!

  • When is it comming to canada and wich carrier

  • shit dnt have wireless or gps or enything else a normal phone would have. get rid off the idops nd windows phone there shit and allway will be

  • its a brick

  • to all the people who doubt about windows phone, you really need to try it. REALLY. it wins so, so much on your hand than it does just watching a video

  • Richtea8.... There are plenty of apps for this phone on the microsoft Zune website Games. Music apps etc. you just need to go into various areas on the site to find.

  • if only it was coming to sprint in some variation.....

  • @TT0973 thats wat i thought >.>

  • only 720hd??!anyway does this phone have downloadable apps, can I jailbreak it also?

  • @MaskedKane95 yes, and yes

  • this would be phenomenal with turn by turn GPS apps. i'd recommend this over ANY dedicated GPS, simply because it's actually bigger and...well, it's a freakin windows phone. definitely a way underrated OS. so much value for money, and so much beauty and simplicity

  • @BrEnNo1023 there is turn by turn directions build in... but because of a law suit MS has to activate it was a tap . but yes it would be better if you didn't have to tap the screen

  • 9 dislikes came from apple fan boys..

  • @dayrion 10 dislikes actually, the latest one me, a fandroid. nexus prime will blow this piece of shit out the water.

  • @69Punde there is always the future, what about windows 8 phones or the nexus pinnacle.... I love these points that have no point.

  • @69Punde Samsung phones a pices of shit this one has a way better screen then any samsung device out there

  • @iphone1784 Watch a comparison between the Samsung Focus the HTC HD7 and the HTC Surround you clearly see that the Samsungs AMOLED screen looks much sharper a and brighter than both HTCs even if this HTC is better it came out WAY later than the Samsung Focus so this clearly shows the quality of Samsung phones vs HTC phones..

  • massive screen...... i gonna buy this

  • Ok cheers.

  • Are there downloadable apps for this phone as ive heard there isnt??

  • @richtea8

There are tens of thousands of apps . . . its growing faster than any other smartphone market. It's really easy to develop for.

  • im starting to like windows phone. Weird?

  • @EvoDude26 No not weird, Windows Phone is awesome

  • Whats the TALK TIME on it

    Hoping 8hrs + :)

  • Should I get this or the iPhone 4S? Help!!

  • @android1893 This, the iPhone 4S is a slight upgrade and is (imo) falling behind android and WP7, where it used to be top dog. Windows phone 7 is even more simplistic than iOS, but offers more customization and looks more fluent. Keep in mind though I haven't tried this phone or even windows phone 7 for that matter, but I do have an iPhone 4 and the OS is quickly becoming old and stale.

  • @Babeman1 apple will always have those people that would pay anything to think they are cool!!!

  • @android1893 Get the Samsung Focus S (on Oct 11th) if you can help it. If not, totally go for the Titan.

  • @android1893 THIS!! Im waiting for this one to be released. MUCH more exciting than iOS devices.

  • @android1893 This, using office on the go is one of the greatest things i've ever had, not to mention Microsoft finally got Skype approved so that will eventually be the video calling service.

  • will the battery life be better on this or the samsung focus s, which has a super amoled screen? people have told me super amoled will drain the battery faster than the 4.7' regular lcd screen

  • @pkConda I had an iphone 4 and now a focus S and... well to tell you the truth... the samsung focus S actually lasts me more than the apple one (surprisingly).

  • @manpaisa92 focus s isnt released so yeah

  • @pkConda oops then i have the focus XD lol my bad

  • I'd get a WP7 phone if I could get KakaoTalk on it :\ The OS looks pretty nice.

  • Every time I get a phone, I find out another version is released! Ugh, I just got the HD7, had no clue about this phone. Or is it even out yet?

  • is it coming to verizon?

  • @demblockheads i think its on AT&T..and I think verizon does not carry WP7 on their lineup..or I might be wrong

  • @nolanfunky Verizon does cary WP7. took them forever to get their heads our their bumms and bring them to their selection but it did happen. for now it is only the HTC Trophy but I hope they get this one... I WANT IT!

  • Good review, crap phone though, eventually it will slow down and then blue screen of death

  • it is a spade, and no phone

  • Good review-right down to the facts. I hate review where they blab for 15 min. about what you just said in 3 ^^ (btw, im in love with this phone!)

  • I have the HTC HD7 which is pretty big already, but I kind of want one of these now, lol. The only thing is 800x480 on a screen this big will have pretty bad PPI. To be fair that's Microsoft's doing, all WP7 phones have to have that resolution.

  • wvga on a 4.7 inch scrreeeeen? youve gotta be shitting me!!!!

  • You're not in a bunker, you've got airplane mode turned on.

  • Good God, please say the Titan is also coming to T-Mobile as well as ATT.

  • I think the Iphone is actually overrated. Its a powerful device nonetheless, but it doesn't mean other phone makers isn't capable of making just as good devices as well. I am happy to see Mango getting some recognition, it is important to have variety.

  • @AlexLee12 Best software on any phone but WP7 is close enough. It's still a far cry better than Android. I know. I ditched my Android phone for an HD7 and I'm glad I did it. I'll never own another one of those pieces of shit.

  • want one now

  • If I had lots of money, I'd own one of these along with my iPhone 4. I live my iPhone, but it's nice to have something different. And I like the layout a lot! And the ability to stay connected to Xbox LIVE. I know this phone doesn't compare well to the iPhone, but like I said...if I had lots of money, I'd definitely own this phone! I do like Windows Phone 7!

  • @esjakeis86 Windows Phone with the Mango updates actually surpasses the Iphone look at this video on youtube to compare.

    Apple vs Mango

  • @Techneffect well apple tastes better. but mango looks like a dinosaur egg so its more badass. wait were talkin about fruit rite?

  • That large screen & W7 only utilizes a fraction of it much of the time.

If those squares weren't so big, you wouldn't have to scroll so much.

If there wasn't so much writing on the screens, there would be more room for function: apps & icons.

W7 is a bunch of wasted space & needless scrolling.

  • @proteanview Jealous much WP7 is AWESOME , WP7 isnt as dependent on Apps as Android and Iphone does WP7 runs on integration at the core of the OS which means you have a smoother AND BETTER EXPERIENCE from the phone. WP7 makes ANDROID and IPHONE feel OUTDATED.

  • Wow, the new HTC Hyperbole Generic!

  • This phone is very good

  • Why does htc take features away!? This phone would be amazing if it had a dual core processor and 1GB of RAM. Should have also added the QHD Resolution screen. Just gonna have to wait for Nexus Prime.

  • Comment removed

  • Does anybody know what carriers this phone will be on? In the U.S.

  • @gillymurrieta at&t, t-mobile, and sprint

  • could be nice but the way you present it, unprepared for showing stuff...in referrence to the loading moment. I need a better presentation to like it.

  • I would love to own one

  • Is it an AMOLED?

  • @ZR1Terror Nope, SLCD, with a resolution of 800x480 px (limited because of Windows Phone Mango)

  • screen looks really good. much better than the hd7

what type is it? ips lcd, slcd or something else?

  • @anirudhshirsat97 slcd: 800x480 px

  • I don't have a strong liking for WP's, but this is the second device that I've seen that I would not have an issue buying. HTC, you make gooood devices!

  • Is it Daul core?

  • why is windows phone still in production?.....BOOOOrang!

  • I wish HTC would design a phone that can lay flat on a table. They always have something protruding from the back like the camera or the spreakers.

  • 'Like' if you think the intro is too long.

  • Most smart phone buyers now care more about specs than the purpose of buying a smart phone.

  • @Preahchunpehnwong Give my Nexus S HSPA+, an sdcard slot, change the pentile SAMOLED to RGB SAMOLED and 256mb more RAM and I'll be happy.

Already, even without these things, it's the best Android device I've owned. (Almost) all of the benefits of the Galaxy S series with none of the faults.

  • ...bs 4.7" windows phone why not android!!! if this had 1080p recording and dual core and android 2.3.5 i wud overclock it to 1.8ghz and it wud be the best phone in the world. WHY will no company make my dream phone!!! 4.7"+ <9mm thick, latest android, dual core overclockable, best gpu...and AMOLED+ 720p display + 1080p recording + LTE + no round corners...no doubt thats possible...frickin samsung or htc always dumb down every phone for mainstream users.

  • @OnClickListener dude they just announced the android version of this. I think its dual core to boot and white colour. Comes with beats headphones.

  • Comment removed

  • looks cool, just don't understand why these screens NEED to be so huge nowadays.

  • @frickingAYE 4.7" is a tablet... not a phone.

Phones should top out at 4.3" absolute maximum, which I feel is too big anyway. My screen sweet spot is 4". It's perfectly large enough, yet not too big that it becomes hard to type in landscape mode.

  • @syn010110 What about the Samsung Infuse? The Samsung GS2 on Sprint and T-Mobile? The HTC Titan isn't yoo big for some people. You maybe, but probably not for me.

  • @PAPERCLlPS I've used the Infuse before and it really is too big. I'm a bit annoyed that the T-Mobile SGS2 variant is 4.5", but I'm less annoyed at the screen size than I am at the fact it uses a dualcore Snapdragon instead of Exnyos.

    Hercules is a fake SGS2. :(

  • @syn010110 If you're going GS2, you have to go AT&T. I have really big hands so all these phones feel nice to me.

  • @PAPERCLlPS I'm cool with my Nexus S for now. I'll wait for the next Nexus handset. Rumors flying around seem to suggest that it'll have a 4.5" screen... I hope, if it does, that the bezel is minimal to keep the size of the device as small as possible... I have small hands. :(

  • I want this phone.

  • Windows Phone is the future!

  • Comment removed

  • @zorkor finally someone's agreeing with me :DD

  • i have the galaxy s2. and i would definitely reccomend it.

  • looking great.

  • I'm a droid owner and this will be my next phone

  • I am an Android user and its shit i hate it. Waiting for this phone!

  • this or the galaxy s2/ note ?

  • @TheViralG galaxy because it runs android...

  • @mad5ky Android sucks, and the entire OS is just a mess. That's from a former Android user.

  • battery live according to MS is close to 10 hrs talk time

  • The big question is though, battery life?

  • @RideMyFeathers With this Gigantic screen i dont think its endurable...

  • Great phone if I wasn't waiting for the iPhone 5 I'd get this

  • @thetechblogdaily1 Then u can wait. for like a year.

  • If you guys think this is big, Samsung announced a 5.3" android device the other day.

  • Did it have mango on it? If so, you should if showed a few features off

  • Im wondering if its going to be TOO big? I would like to see it in person first, is this coming to att? I wonder what their new wp7 sets are going to be. I have 4.3 right now and its great.

  • @solidkevinx i have LG's optimus 7 and i find 3.8" - 4.3" screen would be the best for WP7 device.. too bad the manufacturers and consumers wont agree with me..

  • @theslaxe Yea 4" imo is perfect, not too big, not too small, 4.3 is big but still manageable, like I said I'll try this in person when it comes out but 4.7 is damn huge...

  • @solidkevinx I agree totally. A four inch screen is probably the perfect size. The Iphone and the Nokia N8 which I have are 3.5 inches and thats a little small for a touch screen phone. 4 inches for me would be perfect. 4.3 would be a little big. 4.7 is massive. I do like the Titan but its very big and I think 720p video recording is last years spec. A phone like this should be 1080p just like the HTC Sensation and the Samsung Galaxy S 2

  • @Stevethesearcher Maybe if you have hands like the guy in the Burger King commercial. I have a 4.3 inch screen and I wish it was bigger. I'm all over the Titan. Bring it!!!

  • @Thrillcekr At the end of the day I firmly believe that you should be able to put your phone in your Jeans pocket. If you can fit a 4.7 inch screen in your trouser pocket(maybe you can) then fair play. Its just seems like we are pushing towars Tablet screens when you are looking at 4.7 inch screen. I still think that a four inch screen would be best but I could go to 4.3. I dont want to get bigger than that in a phone. However I am just expressing my preference here. BTW I dont have large hands

  • @Stevethesearcher I can put it in my jeans pocket and have plenty of room left over. I think what youre losing sight of is that not everyone is the same size. Plus you have a lot of this phones out there with 3.7 inch screens that have huge bezels with speakers or sliding keyboards that take up every bit as much room as a 4.3 inch screen or maybe even more.

  • @Thrillcekr I hear what you are saying. No not everyone is the same size. I did think of that but I tend to wear fairly tight black jeans and I doubt a 4.7 inch screen would fit in my pocket. However someone wearing comfort fit jeans probably could. Well at the moment I have a Nokia N8 and the screen is 3.5 inches. Thats too small for a touch screen at least it is for me. The Galaxy S2 seemed very large to me so personally four inches would be ideal. Bigger screen is also more drain on battery

  • @Stevethesearcher Yeah. Well, the Radar I think is 3.7. Probably more your style. Nokia is supposed to be rolling out some Windows phones any day now. I suspect they'll have something more suited to your taste as well.

  • @Thrillcekr According to reports there will be three Nokia Phones announced. Sea Ray and Sabre which are 3.7 inches. These are a bit too small. I just found out today that the third phone will the Nokia Ace which will be 4.3 inches. Of course this is only rumours but I do believe that Nokia will only announce three phones. None of them have better than an 8 megapixel camera which is not impressive. No big camera like the N8. That will probably come next year. Not that impressed if all true.

  • @Stevethesearcher Well, there's a lot more to a good camera than just megapixels. Apple proved that. They have, by far, the best camera of any smartphone and theirs is only five. I've seen plenty of cameras with higher megapixels that look like absolute trash compared to that of the iPhone. Nokia puts out good quality stuff so it may not have a ridiculous amount of megapixels but I'll bet it produces better quality photos than most.

  • @Thrillcekr

Apple didn't prove anything. iPhone photos look good on the phone, like pictures on any phone does. In good tests, the iPhone hasn't got a better camera than others, where the hell do you find such a lie?? Do you work for them? Bullshit, that's what they call it.

  • I like it! If I buy a WP7, it'll probably be this one. I only wish it had a SD card slot.

  • Loved it

  • Another thing about the display it seems that the contrast is quiet good, the blacks seem very black in HTC they don't mention if the screen is a normal LCD or a Sony Super LCD, an Amoled isn't for shore.

Another thing why in app reviews or device presentations the connectivity always sucks? And they always have a reason, if they now the reasons can't they avoid them?

  • images are sharp, for email and multimedia it is a must..I hope Microsoft can support more resolutions in the future (this device can be updated to support them) but them again maybe a higher resolution consumes more, drains more battery. If only battery tech could evolve as much as the processor (consumption management).

  • I have Desire HD with 4.3 display, yet I feel it bit too large,

hmm 4.7, definitely it has to use both hands to operate the phone.

  • looks just like every other HTC phone. these guys continue to create hardware that looks the same. a 4.7 inch screen, but wasted with a WVGA resolution. and you waste that amazing 1.5 ghz cpu with windows phone 7. lulz

  • @bozotheclown9 I think the words you were actually looking for were 'hardware that looks similar'.

  • @bozotheclown9 I believe the WVGA resolution is a thing of the software, Wp7, not HTC........am i wrong?

  • @alharima its certainly cheaper to use a wvga resoloution but i imagine it was a software limitation that ultimately prompted htc not to use a highger resoloution. its a shame but the way i see it is that they are using technologies that they have been using for so long and they are good at working with. my main gripe with the sensation was the fact that it was just so thick, whilst the higher resoloution screen and better specs really didnt wow

  • @alharima nope ur right. its a wp7 thing..

  • @alharima Doesn't really matter. You can't even see pixelation on the first generation WP7 handsets.

  • This looks like a beast. I have 4.3inch desire hd screen. 4.7 will either be epic, or too big. Could be bad in some jean pockets Haha. Looks kool though.

  • to fucking big,but the ui look awesome

  • im sorry, i think the title has a typo...because this is obviously a tablet.

    dang its gigantic...

  • 4.7"... and still that same narrow main page of W7 phone w/ wasted space on the side. You wouldn't have to scroll so much if those blocks were smaller & utilized the whole screen. 4.7 wvga? Why bother coming out?

  • What about battery life?

  • still WVGA?? -___- i'll skip......

  • dat was d monster phone.. gggrrrrrr...

  • @johnc425 I'm not liking this trend, man. I understand phones have evolved into full on multimedia devices, but soon we'll need both hands just to operate the screens on these things.

  • The windows phones aren't bad, but I would not buy one.

  • jaja Windows Phones still refuse to die

  • 4.7 inches. . . I have the Samsung Infuse 4G with 4.5 inches and it's a super Amoled Plus so it's fits and looks well. But that right there wvga and it's 4.7 inches is not so smart everything is stretched out. I do like the wide angle is has though in the camera feature. Yeah my phone is still better.

  • @Leonard2311 you my friend are not very knowledgeable about your own phone, the infuse also has a wvga screen resolution (480x800) super amoled plus is a screen type, not a resolution. This phone had a super LCD screen with the same wvga resolution. the Samsung has better contrast and the HTC is brighter

  • @Leonard2311 retard

  • Finally a new Windows Phone 7

  • Have you guys noticed that the system(Windows Phone 7) don't fit the screen ? TOO HUGE !!! 4.7" that is EPIC !!!

  • can't wait, looks sick.

  • Comment removed

  • @peace00021 wvga is the same resolution on the smaller displays of amoleds. The problem the people do bring up is that the display is big while the resolution is being stretched out. wvga is not a display its a display resolution, i think you meant by the slcd thats on the titan.

  • Best Looking Windows Phone yet. But Dual CORE would be amazing. Not a fan of low res
