Great review! I love Spiritueuse Double Vanille. I agree with you that it really doesn't smell similar to Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, which I find "dirtier' and more masculine. SDV is definitely on the gourmand side and I can only wear it when the weather is cool or else I feel it is inappropriate. I also get the pipe tobacco smell, so you're not alone! Have you tried Micallef Note Vanille? It is another boozy vanilla, but I no longer have my sample and cannot remember exactly how it smells.

@leeyah87 I forgot to mention that I can only wear SDV dabbed. I had a decant of it in a sprayer, but there was something very odd about the fragrance (especially in the opening) when I sprayed it. It doesn't happen when I dab it, so I transferred my decant into a roll-on and have no issues anymore. I enjoy it a lot more dabbed than sprayed.

Great review and you pretty much hit this one on the head, I really liked watching it. This stuff is amazing and I would definitely say its more feminine than masculine, but feel its unisex as well. Almost comparable to Tobacco Vanille in where I find it more masculine, but think that if the right woman is wearing it she can get away with it.... lol

I think I sprayed this very hurridly on me while I was in a store in Paris and never really saw the name of it, but I remembered 'double vanille'. Since then I've been trying to figure out what it was, because the whole day afterwards I couldn't stop smelling my arm, but now I think I know what it was :)

By the way, you have the cutest accent, but I just can't seem to figure out where you're from! Would you mind telling me, I'm curious? I really love your videos!

love your take on this! i know a lot of men in the fragrance community who love this. do you get a lot of rose in this? i havent smelled this yet.

@FragranceBros I don't get much roses in it, personally. I know, a lot of men love SDV, which is interesting, as I find SDV more on the feminine side (I chose not to mention that in my vid because I did not want to offend any machos out there, lol :p)

@deathscythe77 hahaha! please offend us! ;-) i'm actually glad you said that because i was going to ask if it smelled feminine to you! rose is a hard note for me to like because it reminds me of my grandmother. lol. i always love your take on the fragrances that cross genders, because it adds a woman's point of view.

@FragranceBros I know what you mean, but I find roses lovely, and they can appear differently, don't shun them! :) also, despite being gourmand and slightly feminine, I still think SDV is okay for a man (unless you mind getting eaten!)
