If you ever spent time in the shops before and/or the garages during the races, you'd understand. I work as a volunteer on a very underfunded team.. My fellow crew members and myself spend countless hours preparing our cars for the race, and then we risk injury and death by pitting the car during the race for no money, just the love of the sport.

The crew members on any team whether they get paid or not, take their cars very personal.. more so than the drivers and team owners. These cars are their lives, hell, they are their babies. When someone bangs them up because they are careless or inexperienced, it really pisses us off.. Odds are, that anyone who takes offense to crew members getting pissed off and scrappy, have never been to a saturday night short track race or in the garages for a whole race weekend.
