Never went up Kilimanjaro - wrong part of Tanzania - but I have seen views like this when hiking over mountains - true they may not have been as tall as Kilimanjaro but they still carried me above elements of the cloud level and to see that whiteness stretched out beneath you, all around you, interspersed by the green beauty that is Africa. Well that is truly incredible

@sweetness00peace The price for climbing the mountain depends with the route you want to take to climb the mountain. There are about six routes to the summit and the price ranges from roughly 1200 US$ to 1600 US$. Some companies charge more and some less but you get what you pay for.

I once read,if you measure a mountain from the center of the earth, kilimanjaro would be the highest. The highest mountain is Everest , measured from sea level.

@appapo3 And how is that possible? I mean if Everest is the highest measured from sea level it would be the highest from the center of the earth becasue you just add the distance form the center of the earth to the sea level. Atleast that's how I think it is.

@Alex5x6x1 I was wrong about the mountain Kilimanjaro as the mountain farthest from earths center. The earth's wider girth at the equator is the reason for the difference. It maybe only one of several.
